  1. Teddy giving the Belchers ribs as a gift but it turns into a nightmare with all the delivery windows. I know someone who gives gifts that turn into projects for the recipient. Annoying.

Bob should've put his foot down on that game a lot sooner and stuck with it. How draining would that be to have to dress that cat every two seconds?

I want the story on whether he looked for it specifically or it popped up and he decided to check it out.

Back when I had cable it would pop up consistently on any number of the Turner channels. He may have just stumbled across it.

  3. Of course Gail is trying to cut out liquids. That's so Gail.

I so wanted to see Ginger. At least we know she's a redhead. I've never understood why they call redheads ginger. Ginger is kind of a light tan. And the inside is kind of a yellowish hue. But redheads aren't really red either. It's orange. Why don't we call em orange heads?

  4. It was a meh episode for me. As others have pointed out, any lessons learned will be forgotten by next week. I get that for sitcoms to have a long life they have to maintain a status quo but doing the same thing every week gets tiring.

In Heartland time it has been 2 years.  I know I want to see Amy happy before the end of the series.  Who knows how much longer it this series can go on for.

That's kinda turning out to be a problem. In the timeline of the show it's been a couple of years but to the fans it hasn't been that long. It feels too soon to us.

I saw a new season on Netflix but when I clicked on it I realized I'd already seen it. It's season 15 that I'm needing to watch. I guess I need to do the 7 day free trial again to watch it bc I'm not gonna wait a year for Netflix to get it.

I think the group text chat might have been too intimidating for Bob.

    I feel for Bob.

You check every time your notification goes off only to find it's just somebody saying ya. And it's difficult to end a group text conversation when someone keeps replying bc they think it might be received as rude if they don't say something.

I spent half the episode cringing because I have a spider phobia, lol. I could not watch any closeups of Phoebe.

    I think it's called arachnophobia.

I loved Linda's fart story. So Linda.

I was hoping Bob would go meet his new friends. But I suppose feeling like it's too much trouble to make new friends and hang out with them is in character for Bob.

I have never seen this show, and have just started watching it.  I have seen a few episodes and am enjoying it.  I always like to have a show to watch on streaming for nights there isn't much on TV.  So far I have mainly rewatched some older series I already had seen before.  It is kind of fun taking on something new.

It's a fun show. I think seasons 1-4 are the best. I've seen seasons 5 & 6 but I don't tend to watch them when I go back through for a rewatch. I pretend it ends at season 4. 5 & 6 aren't terrible,  they just don't feel the same.

If you're ever looking for a somewhat similar show to watch, The Carrie Diaries is a fun watch. It only lasted 2 seasons (26 episodes, 45 minutes each) but it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger or anything. I was never a big SaTC fan (saw some episodes) but you don't really need to know that show to enjoy The Carrie Diaries since it's a prequel.

Gene: Grandpa was looking for a good spot to pitch a tent.
    Bob: Gene.

Haha... I missed that. I'll hafta watch again.

I liked Big Bob's story. I also liked his joke about his other family. Otherwise they've gone to the kids each telling a story well too often. It's becoming a crutch.

  10. I've never understood why the Goldbergs refer to people by their full name. Dave Kim, Matt Bradley, Anthony Balsamo etc. Is it just supposed to be funny for some reason? They've known these people long enough that they should be on a first name basis.

  11. I always like Louise episodes. I like that Millie was more evil than Louise.

I always like a Bob song. Even if he's happy he sounds sad and defeated. Him having his own little space was great.

Late nights with Linda sound fun but I guess they finally catch up with you. You can handle only so much fun.

    Rewatched season 1...the strongest season..imho.

Mandy in season 1 wasn't dumb whatsoever.  She just didn't have drive yet had lots of talent (Pie Rack, social media marketing of the barbershop, organizing a strike,  etc.).  I've never watched the Fox episodes so I dread seeing Mandy being diminished.  And I saw clips of McCook..and she had a cold and harsh way of delivering her lines...total contrast to how OG Mandy delivered her lines.

Not the the Fox episodes don't have their moments but you wouldn't be missing much if you didn't watch them. It really does ruin Mandy tho.

  13. Bev was actually fun. I could hang with that Beverly in the city. Adam was being a wuss.

Loved the JTP storyline. From the pedo sounding name of the band to the inappropriate lyrics of Age Appropriate, I laughed several times.

Ok, Ive been binge watching this show and reading along with the boards as I watch. Im really enjoying it but...the kids. You guys. The kids. This is not how kids act. This is not how kids speak. Im a children's librarian. I know a lot of kids. Even my brightest kiddos who are reading at 10th and higher grade levels dont have the maturity to a. understand the context and content of 10th grade level materials. And b. they arent able to discuss things that they read on that level. What I think this show isnt understanding is just because a child can discuss something doesnt mean they SHOULD. I dont know what the episode is but this is something they seem to be doing a lot with Sophie.  I just watched the ep where Poppy had a crush on the horrible singer and she was gushing about it with Sophie. Just because she can understand the words doesnt mean she's ready for the emotional weight of dealing with a full grown womans crush and disappointment.

But in general the kids are just too much.

It was pretty obvious early on that the kids weren't written as real kids but as littleadults. That Poppy would talk to Sophie like she would a girlfriend or like she would talk to Angie is over the top. However Sophie was probably my favorite among the kids. I got to where I just couldn't with Poppys son. He was way too much.

I didn't love Pacey's big gestures for Joey. I really enjoyed their build up in the sense that you saw their friendship growing and their appreciation for each other through the little things, which eventually led to romantic feelings. I didn't enjoy when Pacey was outwardly in love with Joey and he constantly did things for her and complained that she didn't feel the same way. That was when I was getting a little annoyed. The whole thing seemed so one-sided and Joey never put effort into him and in my opinion, he put TOO much into her. It almost seemed like he forced her into feeling the same way ( I know she did have feelings for him, but that's the way the writing came off.)

I feel like the problem was that Joey didn't know what she wanted. She pined for Dawson in season 1 and then got him and was like meh. And she was wishy washy with Pacey. I think it may have been because most of th writers were men and they didn't know how to write Joey. They just saw it from the male pov that girls are flakey.

  16. I haven't seen this show because I don't have showtime but I have kept up with this.

I think Cosby like most people is complicated. I think he really believed in what he was doing to help the black community. But he was also a monster. I don't think anyone is ever completely evil or completely good. So yeah Cosby could accomplish good things while also doing horrible things.

But this doesn't stop with Cosby. And to let it stop there is doing a disservice. I know people are gonna think I'm a crazy conspiracy theorist but I think this kinda behavior is rampant in Hollywood and among the elite rich.

CNN has had several people accused of sexual misconduct. Matt Lauer and probably others we don't yet know about at NBC. Charly Rose. A mayor in California is on trial for multiple child sex allegations. Dan Schneider from nickelodeon apparently sexually assaulted young actresses and also employed pedos. Harvey Weinstein. All the elites that Jeffrey Epstein ran with. I just can't buy that he killed himself. Too many coincidences.

The child star that goes crazy is a cliche. Amanda Bines, Brittany Spears, the kid from The Goonies and so many others. We were told it was because they couldn't transition into adult roles. I think it's because they've been sexually abused. Especially the girls. Go back and look at how sexualized Brittany was early in her career.

I thought this was gonna make some headway when Me Too gained steam but it died out.

  17. Ugh I can't stand teddy. Yeah Linda was over the top too but I hate how teddy screws something up and blames Bob. Teddy you broke a briefcase that you shouldn't have been screwing around with in the first place. Don't blame Bob for walking into a room in his own restaurant.

I loved how Bob said What?! when teddy tried to leave after the guy came back for his briefcase.

  18. I just thought this episode was meh. I've made it pretty well known my disdain for teddy and teddy plots. Tho he wasn't ad annoying this episode.

BTW I don't get the Gertrude Stein joke. Who is she and why is it funny to have a ship named thst?

  19. I was joking last week when I said Murray would be in the wedding episode with green screen and archive footage. This looked really weird. Did Adam shoot it on his VHS camcorder and use 80s era chroma key?

Oh guess what? Bev made the wedding all about her and Erica and Geoff had figure out how to deal. No one saw that coming.

I feel like I'm hate watching now and I don't wanna be that person.

Sooooo how old is Jen exactly? Linda refers to her as a “sort-of adult.” I always thought she was like 16/17, but one of those teenage girls that gives off sad middle-aged lady vibes. The notary guy was clearly an adult man. That whole plot was icky to me and a few of my friends have mentioned it as well.

    Same

I always thought she was a high schooler. But when I realized the notary was an adult I assumed Jen must be college age.

  21. I still can't believe there's anyone more clueless than Tina when it comes to boys.

Jen: Should I put it on my eyelids too?

I wanted to see the restaurant too. I wanted to see what kinda reception they'd receive. I'm glad Bob and Linda had fun tho.

Jen is so wonderfully odd. I still quote her line about not knowing how the mick-rowave works and not knowing what bath time means in the episode with Linda's high school reunion. I also love her reaction when they tickled her.

  22. Barry was terrible. Once again. The actors in the jtp look like they're embarrassed to be a part of this. This ep made me realize how much I miss Laney. I hate that her spinoff show got canceled.

Adam's graduation is probably gonna take a back seat to the wedding of the sister that stopped being entertaining a few seasons ago.

I am really curious how they are going to handle the wedding with no Murray. As uninvolved a parent as he was/is, no way do I believe he wouldn’t walk his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day.

Man, this episode had some wild ups and downs. Barry and Erica were fantastic, both in their interactions with the Schwartzes and their Valentine's Date. I also enjoyed Adam's "He's out of gas, he's not used to going that long... on the highway"

But hoo boy the rest. The JTP laziness felt real, Dave Kim's horrific wig, and the whole notion of Adam and Brea getting back together again is just so bad. I appreciate the struggles with the behind the scenes drama, but maybe that's the queue it's time to end it.

Cue not queue but yeah I agree.

It would make so much sense to end it when Adam graduates but they'll probably limp it along for one year of college before realizing they stayed past their sell by date.

It seems Barry and Erica are old enough that they should've grown out of their fighting with each other phase but... I did find the Schwartz's overly affectionate ways a little off putting tho.
