  1. Stormi is adorable in that video.

Kylie, however, does not  "work so hard."  I think her people work hard, and she just says "let's use gold and black!"  She got to the office for an 11am meeting.  Stormi arrived at 1:30.  From 2-3, she was in another meeting and then by 4 was back in glam for a photo shoot.  So she "worked hard" for about 4 hours.  The rest of the time, was spent in glam, with Stormi, and doing a photo shoot (work, but not what I consider "works so hard!").  Then she got ready to go out.

That, and her upspeak was crazy annoying.  Is it possible to be monotone when you upspeak?  Because she was an odd combination of monotone and upspeak at the same time.  It grated.

Video aside, I think Kylie has to get some credit.  Taking that break from the public eye when she was pregnant and becoming a mother has given her a "do-over" that she desperately needed.  She went from being the publicly exploited victim of "pedofriend" Tyga and her own mother, to this seriously new and improved version of herself.  Good for her.   Bible.

The family is very quiet, so I’m guessing they are hoping no one takes the word of a druggie seriously and it fades away.

Or they are figuring out who should post a naked selfie and distract from what's going on.  Whose kibbles and bits haven't we seen lately?  They get the short stick.

  3. I won't buy the book, but oooof.  This is...interesting.

In Khloe's defense (I can't believe I just said that), if I walked in on my husband in the midst of an orgy with a bunch of hookers, for the second time, I might go apeshit on the the first thing I grabbed as well.  Misdirected?  Absolutely.  Violence doesn't solve anything?  Absolutely.  But, I'm sure there are other women who would react the same way.  I don't know that I can fault her for that.

It will be interested to see the Kardashian response to all of this.  I can't imagine reliving the worst of the worst parts of my highly damaged marriage via book tour.  Not to mention, how does this work?  How does Lamar get away with sharing all of this in a book?  In interviews?  Making a profit off of these stories about the Kardashians?  Did he need permission?  The lawyers of that publishing company must have been going through that non-disclosure with a fine tooth comb.

I think it’s because in high school , it’s easier to write storylines that include all the main characters together since it makes sense that their lives would revolve around each other ., but in college , they have to write characters that would never ever go to the same college if it weren’t a tv show and make all their storylines include each other and that happens in every show . Like would Brandon be going to the same university as Steve in the real world ? Probably not , but they have to still write each character separately but bring them all together somehow . I also think in most shows , when the characters are put in college , they always are written to be 15 years older than they really are and it doesn’t feel like they’re real college students . Their freshman year was written well because they were written as if they were actually in college .. fast forward to a season later and they age them way too much .

I think that's fair.  But if I'm supposed to suspend reality and believe that Val runs a nightclub, Donna and David are a music video production team, Steve hosts birthday parties on a private cruise ship, and Kelly turns beige and chooses herself, then why can't I simply suspend reality to assume that they all go to college together and have classes together, if it means better storylines?

I just don't understand how this is all coming out NOW. Tyga was with Kylie for years, while she was underage. Khloe busted up TT & Jordan, the first, years ago (3 or so, I think), why wasn't the press trying to find out everything they could about all involved parties at the time, specifically in the case of Tyga & underage Kylie? How did no one know about this until now, especially in the day & age of social media, & why does it matter now that Tyga is done with Kylie (I still think Stormi is the bodyguard's), & Khloe & TT have officially broken up? I do wonder how much the K clan knew; that's probably why we never heard anything.

I still want to know why Tyga isn't rotting in jail for statutory rape?

Speaking of dressing frumpy... Just watched Kelly's Seventeen cover episode.   She dresses like a frumpy bag lady.   Her dresses are long and shapeless.   At first I thought maybe she was pregnant in real life but one scene has her playing pool with  Brandon and  Steve & she's wearing old lady high waist baggy jeans. Val,  Donna and  Claire all dressed in cute,  age appropriate outfits.

College Kelly is just atrocious.  She is beige, bitchy, self-righteous, and the short hair really ages her.  At least in the final seasons she looks a bit better, but her college look was terrible. I liked her in the beginning of season 4, as the excited sorority girl who lives at the beach, but it was like when cut her hair, they also cut off any likeable personality.

I've never understood why TV can't do college.  Is it because they use up typical potential storylines in high school?

  7. Has anybody else besides me noticed how disengaged Chicago is?  I know we don't see much of her and when we do, we joke about how she ignores Kim and looks for the nanny.  However, the Ellen appearance really jumped out at me.

She's now 16 months old.  Her reactions and interactions should be vastly different than what they were on that show.  For one, she didn't flinch from the noise of the audience.  She didn't interact.  She didn't babble, make noise, reach for anything.  She didn't hide her face, or try to wriggle away from Kourtney.  She didn't reach for her grandmother.  She just kind of sat there and stared around.  I suppose somebody could argue that it was just the shock value for her, taking it all in.  But to me, it made me wonder if something developmentally is going on.  She seemed like a very quiet 8 month old, not 16 months.

  8. Quote

She then acts as if she knows nothing about any religion but Judaism.   When the anti-Semitic speaker was coming to campus,  she gets pissed at Brandon then goes to pour some heavy guilt on David.  I've never even seen her and David talk before but she feels she has the right to do this.  She is then offended one of Jessie's uncles gave Hannah a cross.   "She's Jewish,  Jessie".  Jessie tellsher Hannah is Jewish & Christian. "On-Dree-Ahh's' response is "what does that even mean"?  Excuse me,  that's what you are!

Christmas time,  they take Hannah to see Santa,  she acts like she's never seen a Santa before. How many Christmases did she spend at the Walsh house,  one time there was even a Santa!

I loved it when Jessie told her she was not tolerant of others.

    I really disliked that character.

Was Andrea half Jewish/ Half Christian? I thought she was Jewish.

One of my friends went through something very similar when it came to her own children.  She is Jewish, but from a "practicing" standpoint, on the more casual side.  She celebrated the holidays with her family, but never went to temple, didn't have a bat mitzvah, etc.  Same idea as Christians who celebrate Christmas and Easter, but skip the rest of the formalities.

However, when it came to her children, her attitude towards religion suddenly took a turn.  In her eyes, any child she and her husband had, would be Jewish because that is the jewish law.  A child is the religion of the mother.  Even if she married a christian, she would not want Christianity in her home, she didn't want to confuse them (they could celebrate easter with an egg hunt at her inlaws, no church), and her views towards Christianity really went from "spending christmas with friends or her boyfriend at the time and having no problem with it" to really feeling like Christianity was a threat to her religion, and a personal affront to her,  In other, words, she became Andrea.

Then she married her husband, a practicing Catholic.  Her initial approach was what I outlined above.  But once the kids came along, she was forced to ease up on her attitudes and opinions on the matter.  To her, her children are Jewish.  That's the law.  But it suddenly wasn't just about her.  To her husband, no such law exists, and religion becomes a choice that parents guide you through, to the confirmation process.  So now, they are kind of making it up as they go along.  They celebrate all major holidays.  And as for religious education, they are religious light - no sunday school or hebrew school or CCD.  The kids will learn about both until they can decide which they want to practice, themselves.  Which is what I think Jesse was getting at with "She's both."  But to Andrea, there was no such thing because being Both, I don't think is an option, because the Jewish law is clear.

To quote my parents, everything is wide open, until the baby comes along.

  9. Tre posted recent pics of her with Gia and Milania at the envy fashion show.  Milania posted one as well.

Milania looks different.  She's clearly lost weight, but her face looks different.  I can't figure out what.  Maybe it is her nose??  I'm hoping it is just weight loss and makeup and not anything else.

  10. As a naturally curly haired person - and I don't mean wavy, I mean CURLY, I'm really bothered by Kim's approach to North's hair.  Okay, I'm actually bothered by her approach to a lot of things regarding North, but I find this one especially upsetting because there really are psychological factors that girls have to face when they have curly hair that Kim clearly knows nothing about, or hasn't paid attention to, or she simply doesn't care about the message she is sending her daughter about her own looks.  At 5.

Kim's approach seems to be - my kid, I'll do with her hair what I want.  And it also seems to be - you can curl hair, you can straighten hair, who cares.  And she says that from the standpoint of a person who has this gorgeous straight hair.  I think we can all agree - the K's were blessed with stunning locks.

However - when you grow up as a curly haired kid in a straight hair world, it's just so different.  There's so much you can't really do on a day to day basis, with ease.  I mean, hell, you can't even brush your hair once it's dry lol.  And it becomes a "thing" really early on.  Dove did a whole campaign about it - did Kim miss that?    Young kids say they HATE their curly hair. They wish it was straight.  They don't like looking different.  Hair is tied so much to "beauty" and they think it makes them not beautiful.  It really can be this really big deal for girls on how they view themselves.

My daughter is about North's age.  She has gorgeous straight blonde hair with just a bit of wave.  The other day she asked me if my hair was always curly, and I explained to her how hair changes for women at different stages in life.  I said I started curly, then it straighted a bit, then really curled up as I hit 10/11/12 years old.  She asked if that would happen to her hair.  I told her I had no way of knowing that.  She paused and said "I hope it doesn't.  I like my hair being smooth, curly hair isn't smooth.  I don't think I want curly hair."  I have no idea where it that came from, but fuck, if that's not a perfect example of how so many kids feel about curly hair I don't know what is.  The conversation continued from there but I won't bore you with details the "all hair is beautiful and helps make each person unique" talk I then launched into.

Rant over.  But if you wonder what I'm talking about, go look up Dove's curly hair campaign.  It's kind of brilliant and heartbreaking all at once.  I bet if somebody asked North those questions, it might be an eye opener for Kim and what she's doing.

Okay, clearly this is a bigger deal to me than I realized....I'm going to go cool off and fluff my frizzy curls and continue on with my day.

  11. I think Kendall is gorgeous. That said, I could see where the eye lift happened in this interview.  Or maybe it is how her brows were shaped, but I thought that the minimal work that has been done came through.

But she looks significantly better than her sisters, that's for sure!
