  1. Interesting article/interview with the girl playing Trubel.  She was literally plucked out of a college acting class in Michigan.  Regarding those who are tired of the Royals storyline, I feel the same.  However, it is GRIMM, based on fairy tales about princesses and castles, etc., so it would be hard to discontinue that arc.  They just need to make it more appealing to viewers.

  2. JNYMPH, I think that Torstein was in on the plan with the magic mushrooms, but not Rollo until Floki actually put them in his mouth.  He didn't try to resist, so at that moment he knew what was going on.  I am still confused, however, on whether they both injested the same type of mushrooms.  They had different reactions, unless alcohol did play a part in Torstein's.

  3. OHWELL, my husband says that he moves like Gollum, but I think he slithers like a snake or a panther.  Either way, I LOVE him.  And...I guess he could keep a secret after all.

  4. I'm so excited!  Floki the Trickster is up to GOOD, I think.  FB has a video of him giving Rollo magic mushrooms after sending Siggy off to get some sleep.  Hope it's for pain relief and Siggy is about to be offed.  It wouldn't load off of FB, so go see.

  5. The American TV audience will not accept the lack of explanation for the returned, as in the book. From what I understand in reading various posts, the author focuses on how the living deal with their loved ones returning.   In order to satisfy our viewers in this society, there will have to be an alien, cloning, or zombie explanation.  What are some other possibilities?

  6. Green, excellent post.  I think that it is wishful thinking on the part of his fans that Floki will not turn out to be a traitor.  He was such an endearing character in Epsode 1 of Season 1, which I rewatched last night.  You present a good argument, especially the fact that he admittedly cannot keep a secret.

  7. Agreed concerning Bria.  During the first section of the song her nerves caused her to have goat vibrato and the high notes later in the song were screechy.   Josh reminds me of Nicholas David from a couple of seasons ago -  doesn't look the part, but can SING!  I love those soulful guys.

  8. If you can believe anything in the tabloids, it seems that Jimmy is succumbing to the pitfalls of fame.  In the past week I've read about bar fights and a twenty-something girlfriend that seems to appear with him at the bars he frequents nightly after taping the show.  Not looking good with a wife and baby at home.  I have noticed that the show's make-up people are having trouble covering the dark circles under his eyes.  I haven't missed an episode of Late Night or Tonight with him and hope he gets his act together IF the rumors are true.

  9. First-time poster here.  Just read something interesting in TV Guide magazine.   Gustaf Skarsgard (Floki) is dating Maud Hirst (Helga) in real life.  It was interesting to find out that she is the daughter of Vikings creator, Michael Hirst.  Gustaf has moved  from Stockholm to LA, where his brother Alexander is based.  To me, Floki and Athelstan are the most compelling characters.
