Thanks for that link Patty. NOBODY should have allowed this documentary to be made. What did it show us in positivity? NOTHING. Just keep Wendy out of the spotlight until she heals. Even if that takes years. Or sadly, maybe never.

Are there more episodes to this docuseries or have we just been seeing reruns every weekend?

That’s it for original episodes, unless they decide to do a follow up

It was driving me nuts where I knew Judy the barista from. Of course, Heather Morris from Glee. Looks so different than Brittany (her character on Glee). Heh, Todd is supposed to be a detective but was so blind to how obviously she was into him. I assume we'll be seeing more of her.

Don't know what Alex is up to. Also, I hate to say it but I'm not sure I buy Lyle as straight. He just doesn't read that way to me.

They had trouble working Allison into this one I'm afraid.

    Pretty solid episode though.

It certainly seemed in early episodes that Lyle was gay or the show was suggesting he was. Then last season I think he fell for the lady he’s currently with

I wasn't always the hugest Brittany fan, but I thought she was really delightful here. I hope we see more of her.

    She’s recurring https://deadline.com/2024/02/so-help-me-todd-heather-morris-season-2-1235817300/

I liked the first episode even though I was kind of sleepy so I didn't pay as close attention as I normally would.

I was a bit disappointed that it came down to a double space after the period but it's the first episode.

I am curious about whether or not the Kings will build out this show into more of an ensemble the way they did with the previous shows I've seen. They're certainly setting up more of an arc with the phone call at the end.  I also found it curious they mentioned Cary Argos twice.  Cary never appeared on The Good Fight but it makes me wonder if they're setting it up for us to possibly see him in this.

Did the preview at the end say the next episode is April 4th?  I know next week is the State of the Union so no show but there's a week in between before March Madness begins.  I think it's strange to debut the show with no intent to follow with another for over a month.

Yeah, April 4, which seems like major bait and switch. But it’s possible like with other shows, the strikes disrupted production and they weren’t ready with anything but the pilot and CBS wanted to show it now.I just wish CBS had indicated this was an early premiere like the broadcast networks have done with some other shows the last few years, including the premiere of the first season of Abbott Elementary

Darn! I missed it, and next week is the SotU address. Ugh.

They’ll probably repeat the episode so watch out for it

  10. This has been bothering me for awhile, but the occasional closeups of stuff in this episode, the basement kitchen looks unsanitary and unsafe. I don’t understand why they want to make it that bad. They could have just made it very basic and lacking supplies compared to the other kitchens. At least they didn’t stick bugs in there, as far as I know

It's not clear if this upcoming FX doc is under "The New York Times Presents" banner, but it is co-produced by The New York Times, so for now, I'll put it here.

"Spermworld" will be shown on FX on Friday March 29 at 10pm ET and stream on Hulu the next day.

    Synopsis:

FX's SPERMWORLD, a documentary feature directed by Lance Oppenheim, produced by The New York Times and Edgeline Films, and inspired by the Times' article "The Sperm Kings Have a Problem: Too Much Demand" by Nellie Bowles, will premiere on Friday, March 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX and stream the next day on Hulu.

SPERMWORLD is a road movie set inside the new wild west of baby making - online forums where sperm donors connect with hopeful parents. Against the landscape of roadside motels, abandoned shopping malls and suburban bathrooms across the country, the film follows intimate encounters between donors and recipients as they exchange more than just genetic material. SPERMWORLD examines how our fantasies about partnership and parenthood shape our deepest desires. What emerges in this new feature-length documentary directed by Lance Oppenheim is an incisive portrait of the search for human connection in an increasingly alienating world.

It looks like this will not fall under the New York Times Presents banner. It will get its own topic

I'm confused--why are they doing a Halloween episode at the end of February?

I'm guessing because of the writer/actor strikes, they couldn't do it in October.

Probably at least that and I think the producer said that they love Halloween, plus a good way to bring Flower back.

I'm glad they had a character who just happened to be non-binary, but I admit I was distracted by it. I kept expecting one of the teachers to make a faux pas related to it, and I was waiting to cringe.

I didn't even realize the sub was non-binary until I saw the Mx. Geoffreys on the board and even then I'm not sure I became fully aware of it

The way he was looking at Stella holding the baby (who I spent most of the episode trying to identify)…wonder if Stella wants kids?

Just who did the various babies belong to? I guess the baby that went in the car with Sylvie and Casey was her adopted baby Amelia(?). Was that the baby Stella was holding earlier? I think there was another one I couldn't identify who it belonged to
