  1. I don't care that Brian Williams got caught telling a war story about his time being shelled. I'm sorry, I just don't. I hated Sailor Moon Crystal, but part of me feels that if Toei had simply done a sequel series, Crystal wouldn't have been as maligned and more importantly around and relevant. There's more than enough time between Sailor Moon/Stars and coming on Neo Tokyo/Neo Queen Serenity for such stories to exist. I hate how writers in Japan tend to gloss over young adult characters in favor of character being strictly teens or adults.
  2. This season was stupid, not on the level of The Walking Dead, Season 1-4, but pretty stupid. I can't believe that after everything Jane went through, they killed her off in the penultimate episode. Joe's arc as vengeful white guy was dumb (though as others mentioned funny when the sirens went off) and wasted. The "rich" couple, we all knew Jenna wasn't going to die. Miguel and Penelope, meh. And I can not get over the Carnival of Flesh bothering to track Miguel down. How did they even know who he was? They already had Henry(?)'s money, dump his ass with the rest of the bodies and no one knows the difference! This is shaggy dog story at it's worst. Jane and David are dead, so everything relating to their story doesn't matter. The Stantins and Rick are dead, so Jenna's story doesn't matter (for emphasis, Jenna ended up in France, which is considering the purge) and the rebels story didn't matter. Miguel and Penelope live and are heading out into the purge to save people, so yay? I honestly didn't care for these two and actively hoped Penelope would die. And Joe's dead and his whole purpose was ultimately kill Rick and Jane. I feel like the series would be better served with Jane surviving, the Purge ending on the second to last episode, and then an episode dedicated to the after (what happened to the rebels when the Stantins are found dead, what happened to Alison, how has the company changed after losing David, so on and so forth. As far as I'm concerned this was far better than The Mist (I dropped after the first three episodes) but must see TV it ain't. Maybe the second season will improve since the writers have some feedback available.
  3. Lordy, Hajime Tabata left Square-Enix (resigned Oct. 31st and announced yesterday). I have a lot of respect for the guy because he's directed Crisis Core, Type-0, and XV (all are spin-offs or main entries in the Final Fantasy series and mostly well reviewed). Thing is, Tabata was heading Business Division 2 and then moved on to Luminous Productions within SE. And his reason for leaving was he wanted to direct his own passion project, so he started his own company. This also resulted in the cancellation of all the FFXV DLC besides a crossover with XIV, the multiplayer expansion, and Episode Ardyn. I know opinion is mixed on XV, but I've been replaying it (and Comrades (it's multiplayer) recently and it's really one of the most fun and unique titles I've ever played and a lot of that has to do with Tabata's influence as director. I recently went back to school for Graphic Design and Square-Enix (honestly Nomura and Tabata) had a lot to do with that. I'm just sad, especially since I keep thinking about how Kojima left Konami.
  4. I keep seeing pretty in regard to Penelope, Lila, and the "rich" couple and... No. They're all too stupid to qualify as attractive in anyway. I can somewhat buy that people are being targeted and tagged for NFFA live, it's alluded to on a lesser level in the film series (from the second on).
