This is not directed to VK per se, but I would hate to have it in the back of my mind that the only reason I was named to something was because my relative had an in with one of TPTB. On the other hand, one would have to be self aware to even reach that thought.
I would also hate to think that I would lose a friendship because I didn't hand the daughter of one of my friends, something that she hadn't earned and but expected it while demonstrating a crappy attitude and air of entitlement. Of course, if that friend hadn't aged well and was living vicariously through her daughter it may cause her to stop speaking to me because things didn't go the way she expected or thought they should.
and yes, people will probably still have it out for VK -- for the same reason, Cassie took so much crap when she was on the team.

That would call for a lot of film and editing showing that Brennan has embraced VK. If that is the case, I think people are going to be rolling their eyes and saying, "Oh no VK MTT, season 2?" It is a sword that could cut both ways.
It also occurs that if the reason VK was matched with Brennan was for all the reasons mentioned by Scorp, TPTB could have just as easily placed her with Christina.

Yes, she's definitely one of the oldest veterans, but I personally think it's odd to pair a rookie with someone they were in training camp with last year. There are so many other girls they could have paired Victoria up with: A no-nonsense mature group leader like Heather, Amy, Maddie, Tess, or one of the sweeter 3rd year candidates like Miranda, Lexie, Savannah... but BRENNAN?! Seems suspicious.
So there has got to be some rationale for pairing them together. Kelli and Judy paired Kashara and Yuko together for swim calendar because they thought it would bring Yuko out of her shell. What could be the thought behind this?
Maybe they are trying to pair Victoria with someone who has tried out 4 times before making the team... a bit of foreshadowing 😉
I am not a big fan of Brennan but I feel bad for her and for anybody who would be paired with someone (be it VK or anyone else) who had thrown them under the bus. That has to be all kinds of awkward.

Agreed. Hopefully, people, won't have very long memories, but I shudder to think what her friends and co-workers thought when they saw the show.
I mean, look at our reaction and we don't even know her.

I have no idea why she is leaving other than maybe getting on with real life. But I can totally see someone not wanting to come back because they were witnessing the blatant favoritism shown someone who was perceived to be toxic to the environment. (See, e.g. Lacey's exit speech and read between the lines.)
As for Amy, if she leaves it will probably be because she is getting married.
As for which vets are leaving, I am thinking: Lacey, Kashara, Amy Lauren and maybe Tess and Hannah. Kelli's bench won't be very deep.

She should never have made it to camp. It was a Kelli/CMT storyline. I am sure that they probably thought that they could waive the DCC magic wand and solve her memory problems. Unrealistic and in the long run - plain stupid. They took a spot from someone else (the Keyra being late excuse comes to mind). (Regardless of your feelings about Keyra -- she was a vet)

I think it is important to remember that it was Megan's third time in camp and was rooming with Brooke Sorenson and Stephanie -- pretty awkward situation.
On the other hand, she was pretty disrepectful to Kelli --
I always wondered what, if anything, Kelli and Judy felt when they found out she got sick.

I think "hate" of Kelli maybe a mischaracterization. I think what people are frustrated with is the idea that this heretofore strong-willed woman who is all about the "world-class mantra" became a gutless wonder and showed an incredible lack of judgment in picking TCC candidates (I am sorry folks Melana should never have made into camp), keeping VK when she had long since worn out her welcome and cutting Tara and keeping Christine.

Good point -- I could see them hiring away the director from the Flight Crew -- she has a DCC background and is far enough removed that she would be a "new set of eyes."
I would go with Jinelle over Jenn K. Something about Jenn just rubs me wrong. I can't tell you what it is but there you have it.

I would vote Judy if only because she would put dance over everything else (not that everything else isn't important, but I think she is more attuned with the "world class" ideal.)

I think we've heard from more than a few people who actually know and interact with Kashara regularly that this is who she is. When the rubber hits the road, she's very intelligent. She stepped up into a role that was left when the whole Holly/Erica/Jenna thing blew up and that was not an accident. You can't be ignorant and do what she did. Doesn't make her a superhero or saint but she's certainly smart.
She may act silly a lot but that's her personality. It may certainly rub some people the wrong way that she's "country", I do get that and that's fine. We all have our opinions. But I don't think she's putting on an act to appear cute.
Man, I need a milkshake...
No offense to Kashara -- but it didn't take intelligence -- it took dance ability and Judy's goodwill and Jenna f**king up.
Personally, I find the cutesy country play up to be a bit much and a little phony -- having said that, she plays the stereotypical DCC, so she does have a niche.

2019 Auditions, Finals, and Training Camp Spoilers

Kelli may be a "producer" of the show but she doesn't have final edit approval -- that's up to CMT (and probably Charlotte as President of the Cheerleaders and executive with the Dallas Cowboys organization) so it is not an issue of Kelli allowing a bad edit.
As far as "favoring" VK, did you watch last season? Have you read the board from last year? VK fell in her audition, gained 11 pounds during camp, lied about going to a doctor and was known to throw other candidates and staff under the bus.
As far as Cassie getting an under the radar edit -- did you see the scene where Jay questioned whether or not anyone else would be allowed preferential treatment? Also, Cassie did get an under the radar edit, it was because of she was a four-year vet, who walked into auditions with a brace on her knee. VK hadn't even made the team but had the audacity to express disappointment when she didn't make show group.
Finally, if VK got a bad edit but was favored by TPTB -- it can't be both and you can't edit in what isn't there.
