Rachel obviously has zero self esteem and she's made enough derogatory comments about her weight and appearance that you know that's where its coming from. I think she's quite attractive (and I'd kill to have that beautiful hair), but she doesn't feel good about herself and it shows. I'm sure it would come out loud and clear if she went for a job interview, especially for a professional, well paying job. So yeah, she would be more successful in life if she changed her appearance, but it would be due to increased self confidence, not what she physically looked like to the rest of world. She should take some self confidence lessons from Angela, who has plenty to spare.
