  1. It was really nice to see Theresa/Anne today. They're always so refreshing. Am I the only one who kind of enjoys the "Aiden as DA" twist? At least it shakes things up a little bit and puts Hope/Rafe (who are fast forward material) on edge. Daniel Cosgrove, who I think is a genuinely good actor, also seems to be enjoying himself some.
  2. The Hope/Aiden/Rafe storyline is a mess, and I really feel bad for Daniel Cosgrove. They brought him back for this? Still, I'm sort of glad to still see him on my screen. He's a genuinely good actor.
  3. I agree with sentiments expressed above. The show really has gotten more boring lately. Right now, I'm more interested in watching 16 year old Passions episodes than this show.
  4. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't mind the Nicole/Deimos/Kate situation as much as some. It's not very well thought out, but the three actors involved are all terrific. This commune story, on the other hand.... can't end soon enough.
  5. Other thoughts: -- I also used to fastforward during the Hernandez scenes, but will not do so in the future. Mama Hernandez is terrific. If only they'd bring back Arianna Hernandez (played by Lindsay Hartley, who I adore...) -- I also enjoy VI. I understand some earlier criticisms of how he's playing Deimos, but in my opinion, his style reflects someone who was in jail for thirty years and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. -- We haven't heard about/from or seen Anne for a while, so I was getting nervous MSL had been let go or something. So I was very relieved to see her back today, and was I impressed or what: not even five minutes and she had Summer all figured out. Nice going, Anne! -- I'm happy Aiden is back, since I always enjoyed Cosgrove's acting, but I'm unsure about how the writers will write both him and Chase out of the corner they've written the characters in. I guess we'll see.
  6. Yes! That is exactly what I thought of. I remember the Lopez-Fitzgeralds had a very memorable breakfast followed by a foodfight once, which immediately came to mind when I saw the scene with the Hernandez family.
  7. He's always been overrated. The tone of his voice kind of wears on me, because it always sounds like "duh" (if that makes sense). I am not a fan of this storyline with Summer, and I'm not sure exactly what we're supposed to take away from it. The only redeemable thing -- for me at least -- is the re-emergence of feisty Theresa.
  8. Random: But where the heck is Anne?!?! Shouldn't she have been there for Theresa's engagement announcement?
  9. I've said this before here, but I feel like part of that is some of the acting choices EM makes. I watched him for nearly six years on Passions. After he took over as the recast for Ethan Winthrop, I sensed somewhat of a personality change. His character was supposed to be a smart, sophisticated HLS graduate, but after Eric took over, the character was known for being incredibly vapid and dumb. Even he and his co-stars would joke about how his character was "too stupid to live" (which I think was used to describe him at the old TWoP forum?).
  10. Few thoughts: -- I didn't expect the Theresa/Brady proposal scene, but I thought it was fairly well done. JL's acting throughout this episode was pretty good. -- Was that.... the actor who played Rory? -- If they're going to focus on the Hernandez family, which it seems they are, then I concur with earlier posters: I'd love for them to bring back Arianna (Lindsay Hartley). Loved her. -- I actually kind of like Kate and Deimos, as I think the pairing has potential.
  11. Checking in after a while. Quite honestly, I am unhappy with the direction this show is headed. I am beyond tired of hearing about Daniel, and I abhor the Chase/Ciara storyline. Watching Hope and Rafe is not really engaging either, nor is Philip/Belle, and I need not say anything about Chad/Abigail. Basically, the only thing keeping me around right now is Deimos. This is the first time I've seen VI's acting, but he's terrific. The storyline is kind of intriguing too.
  12. Belle is definitely getting to be annoying, and I'm not enjoying this Shawn/Belle/Philip triangle (or anything with their characters, tbh). That said, I don't think I'll ever dislike Belle as much as Abigail, since I sort of enjoy Martha Madison's acting. I can't really say that for Kate Mansi.
  13. Count me in as being unhappy with this "Daniel lives in through Brady" storyline. He just won't go away! Even in real life -- this weekend, the east coast is getting pummeled by Winter Storm "Jonas."
  14. THIS! When I was watching, I was waiting for Stefano to mention this. I am going to be very frustrated if Hope never finds out about this.
  15. The music from the Basic Black Fashion Show has been stuck in my head all day today.
