Am I the only person who thought that the "Alex" scenes were imagined? The way that they transitioned from Olivia reading Sue's book directly over to "Alex" at the bar, I thought for sure that this was Olivia fantasizing. But then by the end of the "second meeting," I thought that maybe I was wrong. Also: "...you and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. You're all we've got!"

Margot actually seems like a good mix of Dr. du Maurier, Abigail Hobbs, and Wednesday Addams, no? Apparently the average mare weighs around 1,100 pounds and a foal weighs around 10% of that. The placenta is around 10% of the foal's weight. So you have 121 pounds there. That's the size of an adult female actress, right? Wouldn't take too much more stretching to shove a creepy social worker in there.

I'm not book spoiled, so I had no idea who this "Margot" was or what was going on. Both of those references went right over my head. I just thought, "oh, Hannibal is doing blatant psychic driving to get this girl to kill her brother." He practically gave her permission. Margot seemed like a non-camp version of Wednesday Addams.
