I noticed that too. Minus Elevator Gate, I think this might be the second time Erika quasi-defended Sutton. The other moment was at the Dinner Party from Hell.

I'll have to take your word for it!  If Erika was being decent towards Sutton I must have blinked and missed it, lol.   Maybe she's trying something new: being nice to get Sutton to buy her something although after the elevator thing (and everything else) I doubt that will happen.

Who the hell is she to come out and talk to Sutton like that?

    Like she’s known her.

Well, I'm sure she's seen this show before; it's not exactly known for women behaving well.

She was just trying to be a good sport, and was most certainly caught way off guard when hauled up to that stage and encouraged to do something I doubt she would EVER participate in doing.

I didn't see Crystal doing anything remotely similar to what Erika did, lying on the floor with her legs spread - a move which I think was completely choreographed pre-show by Erica.  I thought Crystal stayed seated on stage and seemed to be having fun!

Full disclosure, I've been to the Magic Mike show in Vegas and no one onstage acted like Erika.  She was disgusting before, and she's still disgusting.  Her show doesn't sound fun at all.

I hope House of Blues loses big on this EJ residency.  She has shown herself to be unkind, nasty, selfish and self-involved.  They decided to hire her when there are many more deserving and talented artists out there.  Good luck with that.

Do you guys think there might really be another old wallet bankrolling this “residency”?  Didn’t he hear what happened to the last one?

    Always will be.

I can barely watch this shit show anymore. Get Erika and Kyle off the show AND the planet.

And for me, Rinna’s absence has made even the worst stuff not as bad in comparison.  She was the one BHRH I truly needed to be gone.  So now that she is I don’t mind any of the others especially when they provide snarkable material (like Erika employing an Executive Assistant in her rented pool house) but I wish they were happier.

This episode was filmed in September of this year. Did Kyle make it clear that her best friend died in May of 2022? I thought she implied that it was just a few months ago, but I may have misheard. Is this the first time we as viewers are hearing about this? Not that it is necessarily any of our business, and the family may not have wanted it discussed on the show, but it does seem like Kyle has kept a lot of her actual life off the show, from her friend's death, to her relationship with Morgan and her crumbling marriage.

I didn't know when this scene was filmed, but Kyle told the "therapist/life coach" her best friend took her own life on May 1st.  I think the grief is real.

I  wonder who is putting up the money for this show - is House of Blues losing money on it....or is Erika Jayne Productions?  I can't imagine that she's raking in the bucks at the price of $7.00/per ticket, and I also can't imagine that she's selling out the venue, no matter how small or large.

    This is a good question.

Erika's show was always a money pit; that's why it stopped when Tom finally got busted and probably (just my theory) a motivator in Tom's criminal activities.

When I saw her green bag sitting so prominently placed in that scene, I burst out laughing. She has a fixation on these expensive bags and is very frequently seen out in public with them. So materialistic.

So Beverly Hills.  Or at least the RH version of Beverly Hills.

I thought the shade Sutton was throwing was aimed at people like Kyle,  Dorrit and Melissa Gorga who put their names out in front on other people's businesses and pretend to be entrepreneurs.  What I heard Sutton imply was, I did this with my money without investors.

That makes more sense.  The producers question still cracked me up though; he and I were on the same wavelength.

I also didn’t care for the way she bulldozed her way to Sutton who was seemingly in the middle of a conversation with another lady. She’s out of practice on her social skills. Staying alone during the pandemic can do that to a person.

Well Sutton was where the camera was and those Richard girls (and Hilton) are hard wired to get in front of a camera.

Gee, thanks so much, Erika. Good to know that that’s a requirement.

I believe it was for Erika, whose major accomplishment was bagging a man twice her age and bleeding him dry of his ill gotten gains.

When Sutton and Christian married, they had nothing. She worked but he asked her to stop to raise the children--which is indeed a serious occupation. In addition, she likely had to do a hell of a lot of entertaining to help boost his career and in 2014 made the list of the nation's top 100 party planners/hosts. She played such an important role as a corporate wife that the court awarded her massive alimony. If she hadn't heeded her husband's request, she would have had a very good job and/or business and made money. She's also extremely well connected.

Oh I completely understand all of this and the opportunity costs involved in when one spouse leaves the workforce. I’ve always believed big corporate jobs take two people to be successful.  I’ve never diminished Sutton’s role or had a problem with her spousal support.

But when you live off alimony I don’t think that counts as “financially independent.”  I mean it’s not like they built a business together .  Her ex made a lot of money and hid a lot of investments that Sutton only found out about at the divorce.

She has. I think she’s finally decided not to give a damn anymore. Don’t let the bullies win.

Sutton certainly does not let it bother her and frankly gives as good as she gets when it comes to verbal strikes.  She's stopped overreacting to minor offenses (not being in on a joke, or on a birthday present) and just seems more comfortable being on camera.  Personally, I would have been out the day Erika went berserk on me.

I still don't like how she speaks to her assistant (or whatever Ari's title is) but he seems to take it in stride so I guess he doesn't let her bother him either.

Garcelle's grace towards Sutton impresses me.  I would have thought she would be repelled by Sutton's snobbishness but she is a professional in every way and I applaud her confidence.

Agree. My job pays me money that I use to pay my mortgage. That doesn't mean that my employer helped me to buy my house. When that money was paid to Sutton, for whatever reason, it became her money. So, she used her money to create her business.

I'm not sure that's the same thing. If you separated from your job they would stop paying you, even if you had been there 16 years.  Sutton is no longer a partner in her marriage, contributing to the success of the her husband's career.

The reason is a great divorce attorney, or at least a better one than her ex-husband had and a ex-husband with a big big job.

I mean good for Sutton and the store but she does know she didn’t do it on her own tho right lol.

Sutton cheering herself for having a store that she did on her own, "without taking anyone's money" and then the producer asks, "Did you use your spousal support on the store? and Sutton says, "Of course!!"  hahaha.

I would bet anything that store is a loss write off  and a great way to travel and shop.  Of course there isn't anything wrong with that (there are several of those in the beach community we frequent) but Sutton saying, thinking? she did it all on her own is the kind of hilarious.

ETA: Well, that and the thing on Dorito's head in her interview scenes, lol.

I'd be more concerned for her drug/alcohol use/abuse than I would be concerned about her sleeping with Brandi at this point.

If she came in with the mission of truth bombing everyone at the table slurring and what not then making her exit it would have been epic but I felt like I shouldn't be seeing her stumble physically and verbally.

Which tells us how much of these "friendships" are real or even just how much the RH support one another.  Someone (Camille since she came with Denise?) should have suggested Denise skip this particular event since she clearly was impaired beyond tipsy or even a little stoned.  Instead, both the show and the other women kept her there and on camera.

This wasn't The Countess stumbling into the shrubs (which was hilarious) this was someone not having fun and not in control of herself and the show had no problem showcasing that fact.

I totally understand why Erika and Dorit were confused. I wasn't totally clear what she meant regarding the convo with Erika.

I've found Erika so nasty horrible the last couple years so I just figured Denise could be talking about anything, probably more an overall thing than just one example.  But then she told Garcelle that it was the thing with Erika's nasty comments around her kids,  at her party.

Dorit “homeschools” 2 kids with two teachers? Why is SHE not doing it? I thought they were broke.

That's Erika telling us how broke she is... so broke her Executive Assistant had to make the lemonade from the lemons on the tree in her nonexistent yard in her rented pool house.

I don't think Beverly Hills broke is the same as normal broke.  I do wonder how PK makes money though.

And thank goodness dumb dumb Dorito isn't doing it!  But she also doesn't cook or clean and probably has a personal assistant like the rest of them.   Who knows how long it takes her to put together her look of the day/night and then have someone photograph it?!  She's tired, lol.

  16. I honestly don't care if Shannon quits drinking or not.  Maybe she has an alcohol problem (ya think?) and maybe she doesn't BUT she must stop getting behind the wheel after having any drop of alcohol.  Hire a private driver, take an uber, call a friend (or daughter) but Shannon needs a ignition lock (required in my state after conviction) on any car she has access to drive.

My first m-i-l was an alcoholic.  She never quit drinking for more than a few days but her kids put an ignition lock on her car and solved that problem.  Until one day she had a loaner because her car was in the shop and she put that car in the ditch within a day.

My first car as a teenager would not start until seat belt was on;  I think ALL cars should come with ignition locks, standard, like airbags.

I am confident that Kyle and Erika had the same “She’s only trying to ingratiate herself, so that Kathy will continue sending her coveted invites” reaction when they learned that

    My reaction as well,

    Spoiler

although more like the hope of an invite since I'm not sure Rinna is on the Kathy Hilton guest list.

I LOVED seeing Sutton pulling out a joint.

I know it was for effect but do people smoke indoors?  At the dinner table?  Ohhh, maybe it was a throwback to Allison Dubois and her ridiculous vaping at the real original dinner from hell.  In that case it makes perfect sense.

But I'll wait until she pulls a big ol bong out of her bag to be impressed, lol.

They are already stunted having PK and Dorit for parents, lol.  I think it is because they cannot afford the fancy private school all the other kids go to and so they home school.

Speaking of Dorit home schooling the kids, I really thought she meant she was home schooling as in doing the teaching, I might have known they would have out sourced that job.

I hadn't thought of the price of private school... maybe this is preferable to the horrors of public school to Dorito?

Dorito doesn't do much around the house but in this case, thank goodness Dorito isn't attempting to home school her children!  😆

This is what the Richard sisters do.. Kyle admitted this back in season 1 or 2 none of them get along all at the same time ..

Yep.  Which is why is double dangerous to try an insert yourself in one of their sister fights; eventually they make up and you are on the outs.

And because of her "society" connections Kathy is the one that cuts everyone out.  I remember when one of her girls was getting married (Nikki?) and everyone in the fam was invited except Mo, putting Kyle in an awkward position.  If you are on the outs with Kathy then she makes sure that means you are on the outs with her kids too.

  20. Why does Erika have an "Executive Assistant", lol.

She lives in a rented poolhouse, talks about how "poor" she is and besides this show, doesn't have a career/job to be busy doing.  I guess she needs someone to talk to and film with so there is that but seriously I don't think we've ever seen Erika with anyone that isn't either on her payroll or Bravo's.

So Erika’s a big game hunter. Who knew that House of Blues was the sought-after elephant of Las Vegas?

LOL.  Well she did bag Tom, the guy so desperate to give Erika her "Stage"  he stole money from his clients, many of whom were victims of horrific actions just to keep her show going.

I do not believe for one minute any of those shows made a dime.  Didn't she say once that she spent $30K a month on the glam squad, including Mikey.
