  1. One house for the family in Flagstaff would make sense in a way. Dayton seems like a Brown household lifer, but six of the other nine kids that are moving there will be in HS by the time they get there. They said that Gabe, Gwendlyn and Aurora will be juniors, so Ysabel will be a sophomore while Breanna and Savannah will be freshmen. And they said they'd be living in rentals for that school year anyway while the house was being built. So by the time they get settled in this thing, that batch of kids will be on their way out the door. They will be down to just four kids, Dayton, Truely, Solomon and Ariella. Even if Robin pops out one more, there would be a 1:1 adult to kid ratio. They can design the house however they want, where each wife has her own wing with a locking door. Four houses would be tremendous overkill with only four or five kids going forward.
  2. Weird plan. Southern Utah is about the most Polygamous friendly place imaginable. They are all over the St George/Cedar City area. The B&B is nearby. It's so obvious. In fact if they didn't want to live "in Utah" the FLDS has mostly abandoned Colorado City, AZ which is just over the state line. There are tons of abandoned houses that were built specifically for plural families that they are selling at fire sale prices. Why would they want to go to Flagstaff, clear on the other side of the Grand Canyon? You'd have to drive through Vegas in order to get to the B&B.
  3. I am glad that there are so many goth gals contributing. One of these polygamy shows should feature a set of sister wives that doubles as a coven of witches. That would put all of these square mormon plural families out of business.
  4. The Atlantic had an article several years back about the Enoch Foster family, and their cave houses. Amazing pictures. https://www.theatlantic.com/photo/2012/11/polygamists-in-the-rock/100406/
  5. Some plyg women swing both ways, obviously. I'm sorta surprised that none of them ever take advantage of lgbt marriage, with wife #2 marrying wife #3. Even if it's just for tax purposes.
  6. It's funny they are always badmouthing the FLDS on this show. I get why they want to separate themselves from that, but in SW UT it is just not that big of a deal. They have lived side by side for generations, standing in the same lines and what not. They are like that area's Mennonites.
  7. Why is he talking to Nate Carlisle? Man. If I were a plyg I wouldn't give the Salt Lake Tribune the time of day.
  8. I can't believe that I am about to watch a TV show about a gal giving birth. What is wrong with me?
  9. Heh. There are dozens of his sermons on you tube. They make a terrific sleep aid.
  10. There are a lot more wealthy white gay men than wealthy white polygamists. In fact the stereotype for gay men is a well to do white couple living in a fancy home that is lavishly decorated. The stereotype for polygamists is a bunch of hillbillies living in some dusty old shabby compound consisting of shacks and trailers. Besides, what difference does it make? If we are going to dismiss the grievances of any group just because you can come up with a single example of a family that was able to succeed in spite of their situation, then no one would have a legit gripe. Hell the 0bamas spent eight years in the White House. Doesn't mean that all black people have it that great.
  11. All you get is the other side of the argument everywhere else you look. It is a treat to get the polygamists' side for a change.
  12. Mariah dragged Meri and Janelle across three time zones to support her lesbian-feminist cause, and she had reservations about driving across town to return the favor? That's just downright selfish right there. Glad she finally came around.
  13. Aspyn probably will. She's with that guy from their Church. Mariah was all about it until she decided that she'd rather have just the sister wife, and no hubby.
  14. I'm looking forward to this one. The law is unnecesary and outdated. The LDS Church and their puppets in the Utah legislature won't let it go because they want to create the perception that they fiercely object to polygamy.
  15. HB99 76-7-101. Bigamy -- Penalty -- Defense. 25 (1) A person is guilty of bigamy when, knowing [he] the person has a husband or wife 26 or knowing the other person has a husband or wife, the person purports to marry [another 27 person or cohabits with another] and cohabitates with the other person. 28 (2) Bigamy is a third degree felony [of the third degree]. 29 (3) Bigamy is a second degree felony if the accused is also convicted during the same
