Can anyone give me the condensed version of whatever Meri is up to now with her dramatic "Worthy Up" IG posts?  I saw one post that looked like she was announcing a podcast, or a world speaking tour or something, complete with a blurry fade-in and mysterious words like "To Be Continued."  I wasn't paying close enough attention but yet, I am curious. And lazy. :)

I think she is trying to set herself up as some sort of Life Coach.

    I will not be enlisting.

  2. Something went awry once Kody married Janelle, long before the catfish put the final nail in the coffin.

Could be that Meri defensively lorded it over Janelle and then Christine to maintain her position of power. This was not the harmonious blending of happy homemakers that Kody had envisioned.

Wasn't it Robyn who commented in an episode that the younger kids don't even know their siblings?  No sense in taking them to a gathering which will be full of emotional people they don't know.

And I agree - if they were there, at least one of them would be front and center.  As she seems to be whenever there's a camera at their house.

They could have left "the tenders" with the nanny. No reason for the older 3 not to be there ...if they were not.

  4. It was resin. Surely if thay was her taste, it would not have been too hard to find a pair of well worn cowboy boots in a thrift shop. At least that would have been authentic.

She could have had some bonding time with Meri and they could have made the conversion to lamps quite easily.

The MLMs were never addressed in the show. Don't know when they first started with that. I suppose TLC didn't want them to use the show for cheap and easy marketing, which makes sense.

They sold LIV products (another MLM) marketing gig) before the show started. They never addressed it directly but there were times the product was prominently displayed on a kitchen counter.

When Aspyn expressed concern about Truley being dehydrated, Kody casually told her to give Truley some LIV water.

It sure looks like Truely in the black t-shirt behind Gabe(?). I could be wrong, but to me it looks like it could her...  That's why I said "It looks like Truely went too..."

I thought it was Truely too.

It seems the angle of her face looking up makes her face appear slimmer than a straight on photo.

She has GOT to be kidding with this.  Are there honestly people who would rent a place to see hacked up magazines pasted to the walls?  Is this some sort of prank?

    Tacky, tacky, tacky.

Would rather wake up to Janelle's flaming ass stallions.

Some baggy floral rags that haven't sold on Earth might find a home on K&R's planet.

I had always envisioned them floating around the celestial planet in diaphanous white robes.  But Meri has always thought of herself as "edgy" so...

Yes, the worst thing to have hanging over your head would be worrying about being forced to spend eternity on Kody & Robyn's planet. Hopefully now Meri can enjoy the rest of her life.

The only way she would be welcome on their planet is if there was a market for LLRags among the celestial entities.

Re. the AirBnB: Am I the only one who had to frown a little and think about Meri when reading about Christine's new business venture?

Sure it's a free country and Christine doesn't owe anything to Meri. She can do whatever she wants but Meri was the one who started an inn/airbnb and used the show as a means to lure people in.

I'm not pro-Meri, she could take a leaf or two out of Christine's book when it comes to the interiors of the rooms (the rooms in Lizzie's look terrible!)  but if someone who used to be close to me so blindly copied my business model and started a similar venture not that far away from me (it's only about 270 miles, yes I looked it up!) I'd definitely be mad to say the least!

My first thought too but on reflection realized they are aiming for a different clientele.

At an AirBnb, you have the place to yourselves and the facilities to prepare your own meals. You can stay up as late as you want and arise at your leisure.

At Meri's BnB, you are welcome to sit in the parlour on stiff little chairs making aimless chitchat with the host. I would think by 10pm, you would get the message it's time to retire for the evening.

Having stayed in both types of facilities, I much prefer the autonomy of an AirBnB.

I loved hearing stories of people's lives.  I wish I had gotten more info before they all died.

Thankfully, some my kids and grandkids are interested in keeping genealogy records for future generations.

There are still gaps that I regret not asking about. For instance, how did my maternal grandparents navigate the trip from Scotland to Alaska in 1909 with 3 toddlers?

The Panama canal had not yet been cut and the North Sea route would not be possible. They must have sailed to the east coast of North America and taken trains from that point on.

Why would Meri know personal details about other branches of the family, especially since the inn/that branch of the family is located in Utah and Meri grew up in California? I grew up in Indiana, then Minnesota -- I was in High School before I learned that 3 of my dad's siblings (2 in California; 1 in Ohio) were Jehovah's Witnesses.

I was born in the 1930's before the days of television. Evenings were spent actually talking with one another.

Over time, stories would come up about my parent's childhoods as well as my grandparents and great grandparents. When I was old enough to travel on my own, I made it a point to visit the overseas towns they grew up in and absorb as much family history and lore as possible.

    Must be a generational thing.

My memory says that the owner of the Inn said that to Meri when she was giving a tour.

It would not surprise me at all to find that Meri was not aware of the existence of the home.  I have a fiillin that the owner found out about the connection and approached Meri.

She dressed up the story the same way she dressed up the walls of the Inn, scrambling thru the discontinued bins at the wallpaper store.

Gullible Meri bought the story hook, line and sinker.  Her first catfish experience.

I don't believe a word ANY of them say.  It's all about the PR. Sometimes they can't remember one lie before telling a conflicting one.  Wasn't she the one who came up with the "multiple doors for multiple wives" BS about the inn?

She didn't even know that branch of the family did not live the polygamous lifestyle.

So much for the inn having a special meaning for her when she didn't know something as basic as that.

Looks like a bunch of cartoon characters. Can't relate that to Valentine's Day.

Are we sure this really is Aspyn's Mitch?? I just cannot envision that guy entering the world of cage fighting, so I did a quick search.

There is a Mitch Thompson, going by the name of Twizzler Bones, and he seems to be from Salt Lake City  but is originally from Idaho. I checked him out but he doesn't look like Aspyn's Mitch at all. Could it be that people are confusing the MMA fighter for him?

I went back to the Reddit site looking for the clip I saw. Could not find it and I agree, the Twizzler Mitch Thompson looks nothing like Aspyn's husband.

The clip I saw (dreamed?) was definitely Aspyn's Mitch and as I recall, the camera panned to Aspyn in the audience.

If anyone else saw what I did, please chime in. Hate to think I could have dreamed such a wild scene.

Cruised over to Reddit during break. Discovered that Mitch (Aspyn's husband) has taken up cage fighting.

A clip of his match showed him winning a match. I know nothing about the sport but he seemed to win it fair and square.

It "wowed" me too Joan of Argh, last thing I would have expected from him.

He seemed to go about the match with determination rather than hostility.
