  1. Both of those girls came across as extremely sheltered and privileged. Due to her looks and dance background, as well as her promiseeee to put DCC first this time around, I wouldn't be surprised if the one who came back thought she'd be welcomed in essentially where she left off without too much question. Edit to add - I think this is the reason I love Brennan and other "comeback" girls so much. I like the ones who are prepared to work hard and don't expect anything.
  2. Meh. I grew up in the countryish and I don't see the scenario as a big deal at all honestly. Living in an area that rural, I bet she's done far wilder and more reckless. This doesn't make me like her any less. Posting it on social media however? Yeahhh gonna say that one doesn't quite fit Kelli's idea of the DCC image.
  3. This girl is beautiful and is a good dancer, but after watching some of her videos on Instagram she doesn't seem to have a lot of flexibility. I bet TPTB would also want to soften out her look. But she definitely seems to have energy and power and if she can kick, I hope they consider her. They have a lot of spots to fill.
  4. I'm rewatching the latest season in preparation for audition gossip, and I just want to give a shoutout to Tasha. I feel like she gets mixed reviews around here but I love her personality and how she carries herself - extra, but mature. I like how she carried herself throughout auditions last year even though she flunked her interview and I think she's a great addition to the team. I wish her the best this coming season; I hope she's kept in shape both weight-wise and current-events-wise!
  5. I'm so torn on the idea of Brennan trying out again. I rooted for her hard these last two seasons and I think she was absolutely robbed this last training camp. I think Kelli and Judy would be relieved to have someone who was hard-working, a little older and more mature, and who would leave drama at the door (this is an assumption, naturally, but I got a very relaxed and genuine vibe from her). She put in serious time to make the team and to see Christina of all people "rewarded" for her years of work rubbed me the wrong way as I think Brennan simply deserved it more and got the shaft based on nothing but her face. Knowing the quality of rookies we got this year, I wonder if K & J ever found themselves rethinking or regretting her cut. I can see her thinking that she still has a shot if she comes back. On the other hand, I don't want her to give K & J the chance to break her heart again. I think they've made it clear they don't think she has the look. I'd worry they'd cut her at finals so they don't have to cut her at training camp again. It seems like she's doing well for herself and has a career; all things considered, she has more going for her than DCC. Bottom line is that I am TEAM BRENNAN and if she does come back then dammit I hope she blows everyone away and gets her shot.
  6. Those silver one piece suits are pretty horrible. But as a Detroit fan and also a technical editor that's a fan of the Lions color scheme, I have to appreciate most of the Lions cheerleaders uniforms they've showed up with. I'm particular to the ones in the attached photo; I like the balance of the long sleeves. I found a little catalog of Lions cheerleaders outfits at http://blog.thelineup.com/detroit-lions-cheer-uniforms, and most are pretty inoffensive if not kind of cool!
  7. I liked Chelsea a lot and could definitely picture her on a MTV-type show when she was the age she was when she was a DCC. She's probably past all that now. But she would have been great. Is it weird that I could definitely see Jenna on an MTV show?
  8. Jasmine has been confirmed as a cast member of MTV's Ex on the Beach, which is rumored to be a new Challenge feeder show. So @mmm you may have your wish soon!
  9. Hi all - just wanted to introduce myself because it seems right to do so here; it seems like a name-basis group! I've been following this forum for awhile now - I've recently become really interested in the DCC and their legacy and current standards, and I love how in-depth people on this board get about little niche perceptions of the team. I'm active on Reddit forums for Survivor and MTV's The Challenge, and I never thought I'd be discussing cheerleaders but here we are. The show is engaging and I love rooting for people to achieve their dreams. It makes the show addictive. I don't have a dance background of any kind, for the record, but I love watching a well-choreographed dance - the DCC is awesome in this regard. With those things mentioned, my opinions of this current squad are as following: Kashara is a good point. I love Tasha. She seems genuinely sweet. I grew up in metro Detroit and have mad Michigan pride so I am a HUGE Lauren fan. Jinelle seems like a suck-up and her personality annoys me but she dances effortlessly. Rachel and Molly are both beautiful and Miranda gets included in their genre but I think her boob job is distracting. I've watched a lot of the past seasons and some of my favorite past cheerleaders are Danielle (favorite by far), Alyssa Sarasani, Jordan Chanley (she surpised me), Mia, Megan C, and Kat (she was so cute). I really loved Ann Lux too because she seemed real. Hot take - my favorite ever TCC was Karissa from season 6. I thought she was friendly, funny, and kind of blunt - she seemed like someone I could be friends with in real life. I can see why she didn't make the team though. I also think Brennan should have absolutely made the team this year. Brennan, if you read this, you were robbed. Lastly, I really like the Savannah-Tara duo and I don't care if Savannah squeaked through because of that. She's a good performer and they both seem so happy to be doing this together.
