Hi all. Just checking in to say hello and a quick update on my life. I know I don't post much, but felt inclined (instead of packing) Packing, you say? Yup, I'm leaving Stroudsburg for Bethlehem, 35 miles south of my current location. It puts me equidistant between New York and Philadelphia, where I do most of my acting/modeling work (more on that later). Many of my friends have relocated, and Bethlehem has much more to do. My new place is a 100 year old row house, walking distance to the downtown area. I move in 10 days, and boy do I have lots of packing to do. 21 years in a home is a lot of crap. The acting modeling thing? I've been doing it since I retired from librarianship almost 5 years ago. I started with doing background work on tv/movies, but now I do mostly commercials for as seen on tv projects and a the occasional national or regional ad. It's great fun, and supplements my pension. I've graced a billboard or two, and I almost ran off the road the first time I drove past one. Currently I'm in an ad for the Zola.com site, portraying the mother of the bride, and there's and ad for AZO products that is on the web. And speaking of mother of the bride, Miss mpstar is now a Mrs! She got married two weeks ago to a delightful man who she had dated for 11 years. They broke up once or twice, but both realized how well suited they are to each other quite some time ago. She and her husband live in Denver. OK, must go back to packing. Let me add a photo here, first, though.

so glad to hear you are fine - I have friends in Florida, and they live on the 16th floor of their beachfront building. Their car is going to the fifth floor of a parking garage as the storm gets closer. They just arrived down there 2 days ago, and feel perfectly safe. I'm hoping they are right. Still waiting to hear from other friends, who may actually be on the move right now. I hope your neices are safe - many gas stations are out of gas and the airports are begging folks to only show up at the airport if they have a confirmed seat. Miami and Ft Lauderdale airports are saying they will bus people to shelters if the storm hits and there are still people there. Scary times for so many folks. I saw pictures of St Martin, and the hotel I stayed at several years ago doesn't look like it made it through. I will keep everyone up to date on MissStar's plans. She lives in Denver now, but the wedding will be here in the Poconos of Pennsylvania, on the grounds of the sleep away camp where they met as mere babies. Her fiance is a sweetie. They have chosen wisely. His family treats me as part of the family, which reminds me that I need to see if his Grandmother is ok. She lives outside Miami, on the top level of a high rise.

@Netfoot are you safe from Irma? I've been thinking about you all day, particularly when I saw pictures of some of the nearby islands. I totally spaced on this site, and then all of the sudden it popped into my head. BTW, the wonderful MissStar is engaged! Same young man she's been dating for a decade. the wedding is next year

Hi all. Long time since I've posted. I see buddy is as winsome as ever! I continue to enjoy retirement, still doing commercials, a bit of modeling and the occasional commercial. I'm pining for a new season of TAR, along with the rest of you. I'm going on my next bucket list trip in mid April; Machu Pichu and the Galapagos Islands, with a few days in Santiago Chile, visiting my friends there. I can't wait. MissStar is enjoying the high life. in every sense of the word, out in Chile. The gentleman below is my new/old sweetie. It had been 50 years since we last dated, as he was my boyfriend back in 3rd grade. He's just as nice now as he was then. I saw him every decade or so at reunions, but since I last saw him he became single. Much to the amusement of those who knew us back then, we have been quite the talk of our graduating class. Only drawback is we don't live near each other, so we don't see each other as often as we'd like. No idea if this will go anywhere, but for right now, we are pretty happy that we still get along....

Hello everyone - long time since I've posted, but I'm procrastinating, as usual. Netfoot, glad to see you are still posting regularly and that Buddy is still a spitfire. I can't even recall when I posted last. In any event, I retired from my years of librarianship in December of 2013. I've taken quite a few trips, including my decade in the planning cross country sojourn of 6 weeks. MissStar is now 26! She lives in Denver, working as an office manager and wellness coordinator for a residential realty company. I'm heading out next weekend to visit with her. I spend most of my time finally pursuing my bliss of acting. It's mostly background work on network shows, but I have had a few larger jobs as well. It gets me out of the house and into NYC pretty regularly. This week I'm a guest on a podcast dealing with money management, and they will use me in their print ads, too. Still loving TAR, of course. I long for the days of "regular" teams, though.

Seeing the news of the S26 teams made me miss all my Meet Market buds, so happy new year and glad to see so many familiar names. Netfoot, I had hoped to hear that young master Bud had settled down a bit, but obviously not. I was chilled reading about his being attacked by a gang of canine thugs - so glad your attire scared them off. Well, it's been a bit over a year since I retired from the world of academia, and what a great year it was. I took two cruises - the first being the one last January where many were felled by the norovirus, causing it to be cut short. I did not get sick, which I attributed to never taking the elevator. The second was to Bermuda, which was mostly courtesy of Royal Caribbean making up to those who were on the ship of gastriointestinal fright. I flew to California to visit friends; a few days in LA, followed by a drive up the coast to a bit north of San Fran. I flew to Chicago for a few days of merriment with several college friends. AND I DID MY 10 YEARS IN THE PLANNING CROSS COUNTRY TRIP! 8,964 miles in my trusty forester with my dear friend Nancy. As we had determined in February of 2004, we left the day after Labor day in the first year that we were both retired. It was amazing. We saw snow, we saw Bison, we saw friends, we saw shopping malls - it was magic. Nancy and I got along so well in the 7 weeks of travel that we agreed we will do other driving trips - we have a system of working out the finances that we used before; when we added it all up to settle up the differences in what we spent? I spent $6.00 more, so she took me out for coffee. I also fulfilled my long standing desire to work as an extra on TV shows - my friends have been playing their own version of Where's Waldo trying to spot me. While most of the time it is a blink and you'll miss me, the episode of "Forever", an ABC show, allowed me to be seen chatting and looking concerned in the episode "the man in the killer suit". It's the scene about 40 minutes in at the cemetary, where Blair Brown is mourning her dead husband. My last role of the year was as the principal in an episode of Mind of a Murderer on the ID channel. It's a new show airing sometime in March. I scream, I cry, and eventually get strangled at the hands of my son. It was great fun, particularly since they moved the shoot from 3 hours away to a quick 20 minute drive from my house. This was awesome, as it was 3 days. I have maintained the 100 pound weight loss I achieved since I had weight loss surgery 2 1/2 years ago. I am currently gracing several billboards showing off my before and after. I almost went off the road the first time I saw it. It is terrifying to see yourself on something quite that large. Here's the write up on their web site MissStar is living in Philadelphia, working for an advertising agency. We see each other every few weeks, and she is still dating the wonderful boy she met at camp when she was in Junior High. No, she hasn't been dating him since then, but it has been since she was 18 (she's 25!). They plan to marry at some point, but they are in no rush. That's fine by me because it's fine with them. And, I started working again. 15 hours per week at the local Jewish Resource Center. I do a little of this and a little of that, and it all goes towards my travel fund. Next trip? Miss Star and I are doing a 12 day Alaska cruise in mid May. I wanted to do the Galapagos Islands, but it was too much money for me to swing both of us. So, I will try and stay in touch with all of you with more consistency this year, particularly once TAR goes back on the air. I do think about all of you often, and I do keep up with some of you on Facebook (hint, hint, Netfoot)

I'll be there! Picking up a friend who really wants to be there. Sleep? Hah!

I'm here, too. Netfoot, I always love reading your posts. Buddy sounds like hell on wheels - hopefully time will settle him down. Many the wild child, be they two or four legged, achieve sanity while still maintaining a glint in their eyes, as the years pass. I'm hoping the TARCon will occur this May, perhaps as a salute and celebration of TWOP. I've been a member since April 2002 - I didn't realize it had been that long. I believe my first TAR post had to do with my ruminating that any visit to Sydney would include the Bridge Climb, which it did. I was excited because I had done it myself, and many of my travels have included pictures at the site of various TAR tasks. Sometimes these occurred in a stealth manner, such as being in Germany, thinking a building looked familiar, then realizing it was Mozart's home (or something like that). Anyway, I'm glad to see so many familiar names and faces here.
