  1. I'm actually happy that 'Bughead' didn't completely makeup with a kiss in this episode. What Betty did was kind of shitty, even though she was being manipulated by the Black Hood - Jughead doesn't need to accept her back and seal it with a kiss right away!! Also, was it said/featured in last season that she knows how to work on cars? Was I supposed to just assume that normal, pastel-sweater-wearing Betty cooper could also fix and maneuver a normal car into a street racer?? While it sucks completely for Cheryl, I liked that they put in the storyline of her mom not believing her and taking the hush money. I feel like it portrays how we don't believe (or at least used to not believe) so many rape victims and their own testimonies. I mean think of all the Hollywood stuff that's coming out currently! Nice to see a family sort of 'break down' to solve these problems. I also was so happy when Betty told Veronica everything, and then they joined together to find the Sugar Man - thank god we can have a strong, female friendship on this show again!! I loved that line too! Maybe, just maybe, the black hood expected her to find the Sugar Man because he knew who he was already, but he wanted Betty to find out herself? Considering the Sugar Man was the director/teacher leading the other high school newspaper... seems like quite the coincidence to me! But then again, that wouldn't explain why he would be upset when she didn't just tell him and instead posted it in the Blue and Gold. Maybe something to think about though!
  2. It totally gives off an eery vibe... happy songs used in scary/creepy moments have always been the worst for me. Besides that, I'm kind of surprised Betty has actually gone along with the Black Hood. Before that last phone call (where he said he was watching her), she could've easily lied and said that she did that actions but actually didn't. But I guess that doesn't make good TV. Plus, she did not have to go as far as she did with Veronica. It almost makes it seem like she agrees with/feels the same way as the Black Hood sometimes. Also, now that she gave up Nick's name, what does that mean again? Is he just going to be exposed, or will he be killed? Why can't they just bring him/the situation to the police station? Why does everything have to be so dramatic? I've heard that people think the Black Hood is Betty's long lost brother but could he still be if he's threatening to kill their sister? I don't know, but it's not like I have any better guesses. I'm actually surprised they did the break up AND the kiss in one episode... you would think they would draw that anti-Bughead drama out! I also don't really get was Jughead is doing on his own... yeah, I get the whole 'stop the serpents' thing, but what does he do once it's stopped? Just stay a peaceful serpent? Seems dumb. Also thank god this show didn't let Veronica (or Cheryl) get raped - that would be A BIT much even for them. I did like how it played out the Cheryl/Veronica/Pussy Cats friendship though, plus it gave them all a few extra lines!
  3. Right? Bad move on her part... but also the birth of possibly one of my favorite lines so far? This episode had A LOT - it's hard to believe that this isn't taking place somewhere later in the season, and that we still have so much more to go. Makes me wonder what kind of cheesy twists and turns they'll take to play it out. Nevertheless, I thought this episode was really good. I really enjoyed the whole Nancy Drew book element and decoding part, even though Toni had to get all involved in it (I think she's officially starting to annoy me now). Also, during the ponytail scene, was Jughead laughing at Kevin's remark, or laughing with Toni? It was subtle, but I hope he wasn't laughing with Toni, that would be a real dick move. But, Toni and Jughead's discussion of true crime made me think of the same thing! I'm so excited I'm not the only listener here! I enjoyed the fighting scene, and thought it was really well played out - yes, the serpents (presumably) said they wouldn't bring weapons, but I guess we can't really trust them. So... does the football team kind of deserve it, for getting involved in a useless battle? I mean, they don't know who the killer is, and he could be a serpent, but I just feel like the serpents are involved enough in their own violence that they don't have to put a hood on and go parading around town as a 'secret criminal'. They're already considered 'real criminals' by everyone else, anyways (at least everyone on the north side). Did they have to shoot it in the rain though? I realize the rain played out it's part in the rest of the episode, but it just seemed a bit much. Once again, I can't figure out (and it creeps me out) what Hiram and Hermoine are up to! Why wouldn't they want the two halves more so united (or at least not against each other)? What do they have planned? Also why??? Also - regarding Hiram's little plan with Archie - didn't he know Archie would tell Veronica that her dad told him, or at least advised him, to do this? If he's smart enough to have this secret plot, he should be smart enough to know how innocent and honest Archie is - that's why he targeted him in the first place! I don't know... I guess I'll see how it plays out with the next episodes.
  4. Yes!! I think this would be so good. Like a gossip-girl style type of narration, just filled with Cheryl's cheesy lines. Especially because she's gotten little to no airtime yet, just those scenes where she's watching... and waiting. Hiram was loving it though!
  5. I find it so uncomfortable! Especially that one at dinner talking about the rum room. I can't get a read on what Hermione's agenda is - who's side is she on? I feel like she can't be on her own side and have her own agenda because she's not really a major character, but the whole 'trying to protect Veronica' scene vs the 'taunting' scenes leave me wondering if she has some big plot twist lying ahead.
