[S02.E12: Grey Areas]

I kind of liked this one.  It was a good premise, and the actor playing the twisted psychiatrist was suitably affable at first, but his descent into malicious manipulation and narcissistic obsession was delicious.  Michael Weatherly's quiet desperation as he observed what was happening was also awesome.  The actress playing the grieving widow and subject of obsession also knocked it out of the park.  Kudos to all.

ITA, and well-worded.  Probably the most engrossing episode I've seen, with enjoyable plot twists the whole way through.  Also liked Chunk and Dani's quick thinking at the restaurant.

But it does bring into question Bull's perceptive abilities by having been fooled by his colleague for all these years... 

[S06.E02: Weddings]

Yes!  If you remember, after all the vetting was done and the "experts" had whittled the candidates down to 25 or however many, and they were sitting in front of that couples-matching screen, I believe that Dr. Pepper proposed matching a black woman (Shawniece maybe) with another black man.  But Pastor Cal said that was not a good match, because the guy had said he only dated Hispanics (or something like that), so this would not be fair to the woman to be matched with someone whose preference is going to be not like her.  How effing dumb/clueless would Dr. Pepper be to suggest that match?  It shows she was not paying any attention at all to what the candidate said, and to all that "scientific" stuff they brag about, and only saw it as a generic combination of black girl/black guy who had made it this far.

As stupid as this sounds, it was at that point that I really lost faith in the show.  I came to understand that the extensive questionnaire they fill out, is really just to weed out undesirables and winnow down the contestant pool.  And then the important part of the "experts matching" actually just comes down to having a handful of remaining contestants that they basically slice-and-dice in random combinations on an expert's whim.

I don't think that people in the audience were reacting to the reference to a seasons-ago same-named couple on this franchise.  I think they were reacting to what we here had noticed but were confused about from episode 1, which was some reference before the wedding to the name "Ryan".    I had thought that either Jaclyn or someone at her bachelorette party said something like they had a feeling about the name Ryan.

I could have sworn that a few episodes back, we were all talking about how the Don King look-alike lawyer, had looked completely different at that big meeting with AllSourcer about Sara, and looked so much better...(IIRC he was bald?).  Anyway, now he's back to having his Don King hair...what gives?

Quite a few of the posters here have a dislike of Monica Potter, who plays Tanner's ex-wife.  I had never seen her in anything before.  But boy do I have a serious negative impression of her after having watched her in the most recent episode of The Profit on CNBC, http://www.cnbc.com/live-tv/the-profit/full-episode/monica-potter-home/1115218499947?trknav=videodetail:3_fullepisodes:0:100788798.  It is the actual person Monica Potter, not her in an acting role, as she deals with the business that she apparently runs with her family, called Monica Potter Home.  Dumpster fire, is all I can say.

I don't think the church bells were supposed to symbolize something...they were just a plot device so that Cable could mention Christmas out loud, and it could jar Marissa to think of Christmas as an occasion that Kyle would be coming back to his home in the U.S. for, so she could arrange for him to be arrested.

At some point, Theresa said she was just a country bumpkin and no one told her much, so I took that to mean that she had sex at age 12 but had no idea that that's what led to getting pregnant.

Now this is causing me to wonder if maybe there really wasn't anything in the contract requiring all contact to stop at age 5.  Given that the adoptive mother was so open about communication, you'd think that if that clause really had been in the contract, she would have had no problem telling Dakota.

It's not just the Vanilla Bean flavor that has 10 grams of sugar per serving...it's all of them, and it shows on the nutritional label.  I'm guessing that there are other products on the market whose sugar also comes from something(s) in the ingredients and therefore could also claim to be "zero added sugar".  But these ladies sure seemed to be implying that there wasn't any sugar.

I sooo hated that this is what constituted a business update.  They've aired a few others like that, and all it makes me think is that the product isn't doing well and that's why all they could show for themselves was a lame community charity event that certainly didn't need a shark's thousands behind it.

Yeah, very inconsistent in terms of who these characters would actually be, for them to think that the workers would be surprised to find out about the relationship,  But actually, on the other hand, I could also see them being so egotistical that they think, ooh, we're so good at being secretive.

I actually liked the flashbacks, in terms of seeing the incremental stages that Sophe went through before becoming the fully-formed product/endeavor that we see now.  And while I didn't care so much for the specifics of the case of the week (the character and acting for Jamie seemed a bit overboard), I liked the final clue that it all resulted in, with the picture of the supposed lawyer visiting at the jail.

And speaking of lawyers, was the man representing Sarah at the deposition, the same Don King look-alike that we've been seeing for weeks?  If so, wow, does he look better!  But also, what a big change...surprised that there was no mention plot-wise, since the viewers are bound to notice. 

[S15.E09: Ready or Not]

I cannot recall hating an episode of NCIS more than this one.  It was so full of mind-numbingly un-believable (as in, not believable) plot elements:

• Ducky not showing the sensitivity to Jack's situation, regarding the question to Jimmy of starting the autopsy on both bodies.
• Jack not restraining herself from making all those snide looks and comments while working on the bad guy's leg, potentially endangering the lives of everyone involved.
• No doctors at all, in the entire hospital's other wings or outside after evacuation, being available when they needed one.
• McGee sharing the bad guy identification info with Morgan.
• Morgan taking it upon himself to empty out the waiting room when McGee only said to keep an eye on the bad guy.
• McGee not stopping Morgan from emptying out the waiting room once he started doing it.
• Having all the agents in the waiting room at the same time so they can all be stripped of their guns, instead of one of them waiting just outside it for an opportunity to take action, like when the "hostage" searched them and the bad guy was left vulnerable.
• Not having Ellie quickly pull her gun to shoot the bad guy while his eye was on Gibbs being frisked (or vice-versa, since I can't remember who was frisked first).
• The bad guy magically deciding to let McGee leave with the security guard.
• No monitors on Delilah and no personnel around her more, given the high risk due to the prematurity, the twins, and her paralysis. 
• And as has been said before, NAMING THEIR CHILD AFTER THE INCOMPETENT SECURITY GUARD WHO ALMOST GOT ALL OF THEM KILLED!!! 

I'm sure there was more (I'm just ignoring the whole bomb plot itself)...these are just the ones that stand out!

[S02.E09: Thanksgiving]

Help, I'm super confused about Chunk and the kid and the woman/mother.  I would have though that  the 'big news' that would encourage the girl to confide more in Chunk if she goes to NYC, is that he is her father...but because I was unable to figure out any relationship between Chunk and the woman/mother, I figured she was his sister.  But there's no way that the show would go there!  So is the woman/mother an ex, who he has stayed remarkably close with, and for whatever reason, the woman/mother has lied to her daughter about who her father is?

[S02.E07: No Good Deed]

So much about this episode made no sense (beyond the usual for this show, with all the illegal snooping that the team does), in that actions taken were not in line with the character:

• We saw Marissa get indignant and immediately throw the boyfriend out, which actually her character would not have done without asking for an explanation first.  But further, once her "spidey sense" was up because of his middle-of-the-night shenanigans, she would have actually been MORE skeptical of whatever words came out of his mouth, so she would absolutely have caught that he was promising her a return of her money of almost 500% (invest $75K and net $350K is what I think he said). 
• When Marissa was taking such a big drink in Bull's office, and she mentioned that she threatened to call the police because of something nice her boyfriend tried to do (even if it was in her sort of self-deprecating manner about having over-reacted), he absolutely would have asked about the details. 
• Since the teacher's actions were so overwhelmingly motivated by her desire for the student to get into college, there is no way that she would have turned down that deal, and put the welfare of the blatant grade-fixers (who also knowingly threw her under the bus falsely, I think) ahead of achieving the goal of getting him into the prestigious school, while leaving her a clear record so that she could continue doing the thing she said on the witness stand was what she would most want to do in the world.  

Also, given that the teacher was able to convince that college to admit him, which she said took some personal intervention anyway, then she could presumably have explained to them that he got there late the day of the test and got a bad grade, and he could then take the test again the next time it was offered.

Disappointed that there's not more chatter about this show...I really like it.  They've managed to branch out in the subplots and flesh out the main characters, and go further into the related issues surrounding the existence of Sophe. 

[S02.E05: Play the Hand You're Dealt]

I really like this show, in spite of the unrealistic-ness.  I always enjoy the way that Bull asks prospective juror questions that seem bizarre and off-the-wall, yet that get at some underlying trait or characteristic.  I started watching because of the psychology angle, and how things develop and change during the course of the investigation.

For similar reasons, I started watching another new show, Wisdom of the Crowd.  If you haven't watched it, check it out.  I don't think the numbers are great on it, so it may not be around long!

[S01.E04: Day 4: Below the Line]

The other place you may have seen Emily Kinney before, is the one season of Hayley Atwell's recent show "Conviction".

My interest in the show decreased greatly once the mystery portion was solved.  That was why I started watching the show.  I don't care for the manhunt aspect that will probably ensue.  Although I guess they'll keep it interesting by dropping mini-bombshells throughout, like whatever is going on about who is actually Lake's father.  

I didn't find it very realistic that based on Jane's hunch of "I know who it is" regarding Casey (which, remember, she had just been saying "I know who it is" last episode, referring to Pete), they would get a SWAT team and all that.
