Well the writers continue to come through....They managed to shock me with the J&M hook up. Was not expecting that but it was perfect. I know some don't feel Brianna (SS) has good enough acting skills but she KILLED it to me. She has been strong this entire season. The look on her face when she first saw her baby , her interaction with C&J and when she finally made it to Roger. She has come into her own as they say. The Mohawk village was yet again beautiful and I loved every minute of those scenes. Ian, well I cried big tears, he is a young man anyone would be proud of. It was great to see him mature the last 2 seasons. Roger, I have been a fan of his from the beginning and was OK with him waiting awhile to clear his head before coming to Brianna. That was a lot to take in. Claire and Jamie still have it. They are in perfect harmony with each other. So happy they did not have us wait for another to see that Roger and Brianna made it back together. Now everyone heads up to Fraser's Ridge. I loved this season. PEACE

Start to finish one of the best episodes of the series. Not a fan of all the 'cliffhangers' will we have to wait for in Season 5. I felt the scene in the prison with Brianna and SB was spot on. She did not have to scream at him, hit him etc to get her point across. Why let him think that the child would be a daily reminder of him and what he did. Why give him that power. LJG as always is great but he soon will have to pick a side. Like the Civil War brother against brother. F&M love them. The scenes at the Indian village were beautiful and haunting at the same time. We took their way of life away from them. But like everything 'time marches on' with or without you. ROGERl 'enough said'. PEACE

Have not read any comments so here it goes. S....L...O...W.....So the great misunderstanding took almost an hour to explain. I almost did not make it through this episode. It just was so boring. Good to see Lord John still loves Jamie. Claire finally admitted to some fault. Not much just enough to unburden herself in the part she played. She clearly saw Jamie tortured by the thoughts of his actions. Even Ian told Claire to go to him. But sadly no, Claire was not ready to explain herself and that Brianna is the reason why there will be secrets between them. The F&M episodes were good. Did Marsali want Murtagh to invite Fergus to join so it would make him feel whole, more like a man? And she expected Fergus to say no? I am not sure I understood all this. Acting was good but with the end so close this epsiode should have been done in about 15 minutres and moved along to something else. PEACE

Have not read any comments so here it goes: I thought the acting was spot on. I just did not like all the 'slapping' going on. No one wanted to take any responsibility in the 'The miscommunication" well except Lizzie. I really do like Lizzie. Brianna's comment 'you have no right to be madder/upset about this than I do when Jamie found out it was Bonnett was great. But I don't feel Claire had any right to tell Brianna about Jamie's rape by BJR. That was not her story to tell. I am ticked off at Claire for not defending Jamie when Brianna said she did not trust him and Ian to do the right thing when tring to find Roger. Claire you let me down. It felt like she was driving a wedge between father and daughter. I believe Claire feels Brianna is all her. She may have been happy that Frank raised Brianna as his own but she was quick to point out that she was HER daughter. Now that Jamie is a part of Brianna's life I feel Claire may have some mixed feeling about that. The big thing I must keep in mind the show was set in the 1700's. It is the 1700's. PEACE

Maybe her wedding to Roger?

You guys are so right about the 'rhythm/withdrawal' method it makes some of us parents. So yes the father could be RM or SB. Thanks for the responding.

LOVED IT. I did a 'power watch' at 1am and then just rewatched it again. If someone could clairfy a conversation between Claire and Brianna. When they were talking about the rape did Brianna tell Claire Roger used the 'withdrawal method'? So if this is what I heard and (read on my TV) then the baby would to SB baby. No question about it. I like Lizzie. Everyone seems to be getting caught up in the 'silly' miscommunication between everyone. Lizzie never knew the name of the man, just what Rogre looked like. She knew nothing of SB. Jamie has only heard Roger's name. Claire just recently found out it was SB who raped Brianna. So IMO I can see how everything came in to play. Side note 2 blue eye parents can have a brown eye child. Genetics is super crazy. PEACE

Have not read any comments "yet" so here it goes. I loved this episode. Sure there are some things I wish would have been done differently but all in all a strong showing by everyone. Marsali and Fergus look happy and their baby is a little chunk. I was a little disappointed with Murtagh seeing Fergus for the first time in over 20 years. I thought after the threat was over they would have at least hugged each other. I know that was not really the kind of relationship they had in the past but still.. Now I am sounding like the child Brianna and Roger act like. Oh my they both act like babies. I love you, no I love you more, well now I don't love you, I don't love you either. I think they were equal in the fact they both were pretty bratty. Their 'first' time and then the rape one will always wonder ' who is the father'? I am still pretty shocked that Roger would leave Brianna alone. Jamie and Claire, it was good to see them again. I think their chemistry is great. I know some of the posters do not like her take charge moments. But she has done this since Season 1. Great set up for the next episode.

Frank knew that Claire went back. It seems he has been 'time-traveling' stalking. It seems that Frank never stopped trying to find Jamie. Ironic that he made Claire promise to leave the past behind and never look for him but he could not. I know Claire never truly let Jamie go, she was pretty cold to Frank during their marriage, but she did not look for him while they were married. I can see Brianna's angiush when she remembers the paperwork on his desk and then him telling her about the divorce. She did a great job So Brianna did not get a stick to walk with, not sure that is such a big deal or shows someone that is dumbass. Could be she was still shocked she actually went back in time. Maybe Balriggan just happened to be on the road before you came to Lollybroch. Her time there with Laoghaire and Joan was great. Can anyone blame Laoghaire for freaking out? She truly hates Claire and Jamie has not been paying as promised and her life sucks. I would be pissed to. Especially after I fed and gave warm clothes to the daughter of the 'bitch' I hated. Great to see scenes with Frank. Gave us some closure to his storyline. I am thinking Roger made it before Brianna did. Throwing people off the ship is cruel but I see why they had to do it. No port would let them in with a boatful of smallpox. Bonnet did not disappoint. I may be wrong but did I hear the woman call her baby Jemmy? Great episode for the Brianna, Roger, and Bonnet characters. They all did a great job of acting. Can't wait until next week. Props to Ziggy for the catch of the week. PEACE

The beef with Joh Grey is he used Jamie's son to get close to him again. He came to North Carolina to see Jamie and let Claire know ' I will always have this bond with Jamie that you will never have'. So I can see Claire's dilemma. Thank goodnes Claire is progressive or there would have been a throw down at FR. You are right BitterApple Jamie and Claire are solid in their relationship but what person does not have doubts.

Very intersting episode. I liked t;he actor they cast as Willie. Good to know they kept him in character, bratty, I am better than you and an English nobleman and all that goes with it. Murtagh's storyline is great. I did not want to get on the bad wig bandwagon but I AM. Jamie's bangs must go or at least wash the wig. I love Murtagh and Claire's relationship. I am sure they will 'butt heads' it is just a matter of time. Lord John is a very selfish and brought Willie to shove in Claire's face. I know he finally admitted it but it was great to watch their cat and mouse game. It seems they each have a part of Jamie the other can't have. Did they come away friends, not even close, but I do believe they have a better understanding of each other. It was sad to watch Jamie with Willie. To know that is your child but can not acknowledge him I just can't imagine how difficult that was for Jamie. It was very moving to watch Jamie during this episode. This was an hour well spent.

Sean Connery ANYONE? Murtagh is HOT. Ian is getting stronger each episode. So just a couple of issues.....Does 1768 seem like the never ending year? I thought Claire went back in 1768 and when the episode started the cabin was built, was furnished pretty nicely but before that they started in Edinburgh went to Lallybroch, then sailed to the West Indies, then shipwrecked in the colonies, found their way to River Run and now settled in North Carolina. It just seems like more time should have passed. In past seasons Outlander did not have these weekly 'cliffhangers'. I agree with Petunia846 that their story should have moved along in this episode. So Jamie does have 'special powers' he saw Brianna. I do remember in the first season Jamie asking Claire 'how do the stones work' and she said something along the lines of she really did not know but it was if something or maybe someone was pulling you to the other side. I remember Jamie standing outside her hotel in the storm and the next day Claire went through the stones. This was a verey emotional episode, Murtagh, the birth of a baby, the death of the family and the murder of a Healer.

When Jenny asked about children with her husband Claire said something along the lines of 'I never had children with him'. She never said I have never had a child.

I am going back to watch that part again because I believe there is a lot of information in that dream about Claire. Especially when she something along the lines of 'all her hair is white' and how wise she is as a healer. When she talked about 'the death' not being her fault just have to wonder if it is Claire trying to keep the peace between the settlers and Indians. At some point you have to pick a side. I do like the speculation on Ms. Graham and the Rev. It seems to me that Ms. Graham could have been given this information by the Rev well after Claire made the decision to let go of the past as Ms. Graham wanted her to do. Would not be surprised at all that Frank had a lot of information he held onto.

We can't call him Young Ian anymore. Watching Ian grow from Season 3 to this season has been a joy to watch. He still has that boyish grin and maybe a little impulsive streak but growing up. I was very moved by the interaction between Marsali and Claire. As selfish as Claire can be at times she understood that Marsali needed comfort and reassurance. They have a bond not that they won't 'butt' heads but they will always have this shared experience of going to a new land. Jamie was very strong in this episode. Not talking about his acting (he is a great actor) but he has found his destiny. When Claire was talking about Brianna and the things they would miss ie. marriage and grandchildren I did find it interesting that Jamie never doubted that Claire would stay with him. It was very moving to me that as much as she loved and missed her daughter she knew when she left that there was no going back. I know people are going to 'dig' because Claire took charge when JQ got hurt but I will say I have been a nurse for 33 years and that is what you do. You take charge. Still love Fiona. She is insightful and beautiful. Now to Roger and Brianna. Brianna keeps getting better and better and I think Roger is great. Their storyline is going to be very emotional. Overall great episode. Petunia864 I did the same thing as you. I am brushing up on my history. Guys not sure why my post is so 'mushy' may have to blame it on the flu. PEACE
