  1. Erratic, I have a friend who went through a foster to adopt program, and he and his wife took in two boys. He said when they got them, they were the wildest children he had ever seen--keep in mind he is a teacher and a minister (and thus knows wild). Once they had stability, the kids began to really thrive. They added a girl a couple of years later. I am not sure what my point is there, but your call made me think of that story. Adding three kids all at once sounds overwhelming to me, but you are going to find the right fit. You are going to be an amazing mama. KPC, Dana can foot that bill. I had a dream that I was at work wearing only a tank top and underpants. I kept pulling the tank top down so no one would see I was almost naked--clever of me, yes? Today I ripped the back of my skirt open, so this dream was almost prophetic.
  2. I will be in San Francisco in late July, and I am thinking about a long weekend in Chicago this summer. Potential meet ups on the horizon!
  3. I am currently sitting in the Madison airport on a delay, but I had the pleasure of meeting buffyjunkie and JHeaton last night. Both are lovely individuals, and I really appreciate them making last-minute adjustments to their schedules so we could hang. It was delightful, but all meet ups have been for me
  4. The vibes really helped the work situation today. Thank you all! Pain-free vibes for AnnieF. Fuck MS! KPC, my car song is "Come Sail Away" by Styx. Not one but of it is on key when I sing.
  5. Thank you all for the vibes. I am off this week, but we shall see what develops next week. I am going to think positively. Much love to cko. My dating adventures are more misadventures, but I am happy to share any ideas.
  6. I haven't been up to much exciting. One guy I just started seeing has a brother who was just found dead in a drug house yesterday, so that was the sad news of the weekend. This is a person I never met, but I feel for the family. If anyone has spare vibes, I could use them for a work situation. I know, I show up after being quiet asking for vibes, but I need them, so I will be nervy. I also have the flu so this weekend has been top notch. I am vibing for everyone to have a better week.
  7. I raise my glass to you and your awesomeness, Erratic!
  8. Much love and wishes for a great year KPC!
  9. No, but it sounds like a treasure Erratic.
  10. Eddie Rabbit is a win. My conception song is "Bad Blood" by Neil Sedaka and Elton John. Given my family history, it really fits. I smiled at that one.
  11. Mine is "Kiss and Say Goodbye" by the Manhattans. I've never heard it before, and after a quick listen, I see why.
  12. Boulder is pretty expensive and rather famous for a lack of diversity. In Denver, 85% of our English learners speak Spanish, but we have 173 languages represented in our schools.
  13. Buffiejunkie, I work with students whose first language is not English. Here in Denver, that is 45% of our kids, so it is a big issue here and in many areas throughout the country. Yeah for less itching! Boo for ball scratching!
  14. My book is an educational text about English learners. I know you will all want a copy. Vibes to AnnieF.
  15. I will add a grin of glee! KPC, healing vibes to you. I had to deal with unrelenting itching once (a hornet stung me and hit a nerve) and it took over my life for a week. Nothing stopped the fucking itching (except steroids eventually) and I can't imagine how tired of it you must be. Vibes my friend. LandB, if Satan exists, he runs an insurance company. Fuck them, and vibes to you since you have to wade through the nonsense. As for me, I am working and trying to write a book, so my time has been pretty occupied. I do read here every day even if I have been a neglectful commentator.
  16. I am excited too! Would you rather have some time to exchange messages with people and get advice or would you rather announce it when you know more like when the chil(ren) will arrive, gender, etc.? I think both options are good, but it depends on what would serve your needs. I hope your FIL does not have Facebook. Erratic, you are going to be an excellent mom. Some kid or kids will be so lucky to have a home full of love, great food, and quality Star Wars toys.
  17. Many loving and healing vibes for cko and her dad. We are definitely here for you. Vibes to LandB and his mom. You really are the best son. Healing vibes to KPC. I had a friend who had great success with Corn Husker's Lotion, but I have never tried it. Many safety vibes to those buried in snow. We have had 70 degree weather this week, so global warming is truly an odd bitch.
  18. I've been thinking about scheduling a summer vacation. A meet-up could fit in nicely. I might also be going to San Francisco for a conference this summer, so that is almost a built-in mini con.
  19. KPC, the flash freeze in the northeast made the news here, so it looks like you were in the middle of a transportation nightmare. Glad you were able to find a hotel. I was Boliver's secret Santa. Hoho ho.
  20. Mine included AnnieF's return address, so the jig is up. I wore my "Kick this day in its sunshiny ass" socks today, and I have another pair with a drill on them that say "Delightfully screwy." I also received yummy lotion and soap, and this gift shows Annie's thoughtfulness and reflects that she knows me well. Many thanks! I have been super busy at work (loving the new job still btw) so I have dropped the ball with pictures and posting, but Santa made my year a little brighter.
  21. I was pretty conservative with the edibles. I just tried a little bit, but I felt super relaxed and my sleep was amazing. This could also be due to the crazy week, but I will try again.
  22. I am going to catch Agent Carter On Demand. You all inspired me to buy edible marijuana. I will let you know how it turns out.
