This show has been the pain jr. olympics for a while.  I say jr. olympics because the problems and spats are mostly over nonsense.  Even this.  Aaron is not going to believe Brandi over his own wife, and most people won’t believe Brandi over Denise.  Their marriage will be fine.  

Still, I understand that I could have a different view because I have not been through anything like this.  I am sorry for what you went through.

Ah, that isn't what I meant. I wasn't thinking beyond this and the last seasons in that post.

Here's what I think of the situation

- one, Aaron is creepy and two, there's a chance Denise did have sex with Brandi. I think the women got pissed off at Denise's party because they had a plan to out her there. They were vollying the talk a lot. Rinna looked like a cat who ate the canary, Erica looked smug, Kyle nervous, Dorit conflicted, and Teddi bullheaded. I don't think the other women were in the conspiracy.

Denise realized they were fishing. She tried to cut it off. The other women wouldn't have it and ended up showing their asses. Then and in the confessionsls. I think they were embarrassed and angry that they were foiled and "made to look bad" and then they got mean. It became personal. And yeah, I think they wanted to really hurt her. And they are all coming off as bullies

Thank you, my childhood is mostly dealt with, but one thing I try to keep in the forefront is having empathy for others. I don't ever want to fall into a trap of self pity.

I'm unclear, where after you brought it up I said it was less cruel? I don't think I actually used those words at any time in reference to that. What I said was in my world trying to break up a marriage is cruel and that basically calling an underage child a whore because of her parents is not acceptable. The rumours are one thing - the malicious manner they went about it another. I don't think celebrities are a different species somehow and the idea of a divorce any easier. However Denise responded in the moment to try to defuse the situation doesn't negate those two things.

I also stated that I don't go into pain olympics. It's a thing with me, I had a traumatic, by anyone's standards, childhood. But pain is relative for each person and while I had a bad childhood, there's always worse. So my kid, whose biggest trauma was my divorce, her pain is the worse she's gone through. And we don't compete.

I agree that the women are all hypocrites about each other.  And that all of them have reacted in anger when things were said about them.

But that wasn't my point.  My point was more about the statement that what is being done to Denise is especially "cruel", but I think it is pretty tame compared to what these women have done to each other over the years. 

Did Garcelle continue to harp on her about it? Has she been scheming with the other women about it? I must have missed that. But I didn't miss her saying she spoke with Garcelle. Maybe it wasn't filmed or maybe it wasn't as interesting as going back to when Erica giggled about whether or not Denise's daughter had a threesome.

I'm guessing we have a diffetent idea of cruelty. In my world a concerted effort to end a new marriage is cruel. Not that I generally participate in pain olympics.

This is a show that outed the surrogate births of two ten year old boys before their parents had a chance to tell them.  They discussed marital abuse allegations on air that (probably) led a man to commit suicide and leave his 8 year old daughter without a father.  Women have been accused on camera of being alcoholics, abusing drugs, faking illnesses, defrauding business partners and stealing their sister's goddamn house.  Personally, these discussions seem a lot more damaging and hurtful than anything that is being said about Denise (or was ever said about LVP).  But that is the show.  If you sign on, every rumor about you is fair game.  If Denise wants to shut this down, she needs to sit down with Brandi on camera and tear her a new one until she looks like shit or admits to lying.  Don't shoot the messenger, or production lackey as the case may be. 

Didn't she say she'd talked Garcelle, like she said she had with the other women? She thought it had been put to bed, but they wouldn't drop it? Because they decided to take her response as mommy shaming at least for the cameras? They would not drop it. Garcelle did.

You mean like Kyle talked so calmly about Marcucio cheating, and Erica being cool with mentions of her abanding her son? Perhaps you are referring to Adrianne and her surrogate and how she skipped the reunion?  Maybe it was Rinna's calmness and clear headed conversation skills that impressed you when Kim brought up those rumors about Harry, that we now know were either about rape alligations or about him being bi. Or both. Not from her though. She shut that down fast on the show  Was it the shank she made of the wine glass that impressed you? Maybe it was Dorit's transparency about her many many lawsuits? 

Holding Denise to a different standard is hypocrisy for the women on the show.

I'm kind of unclear as to how a hand job relates to Brandi's accusations. I honestly don't know whether or not Denise had sex with Brandi. I don't think it's outside of the realm of reality that it happened because Denise seems to be comfortable in her sexuality and I don't think if she was attracted to women it would be shameful or anything. I also have friends who are bi, I'm not saying all bi people, but these friends don't consider being with another woman as cheating.

However, being open with her sexuality does not mean Denise would think it's cool for a bunch of menopausal broads to talk explicity about sex in front of teenagers -people too young to consent to sex. I'd cut a *itch. Just like being Charlie Sheen's daughter doesn't make it okay for a person to infer that an underage minor has progressed in her sexuality enough to have threesomes. It's pretty sick.

I think these women needed fresh meat for their storylines. Teddi is always a bore and Kyle doesn't want the possibility of her cheating husband brought up, or the many lawsuits against them, and Erika and Dorit don't want their lawsuits to be brought up. Rinna is simply a rwunt who likes to stir the pot. Denise had her year, and they want to use her as a whipping post for year two. Hey, it happens to all the women.

Except, just like with LVP this is cruel. They are trying to destroy her marriage. They are being bullies and no one likes a bully. On top of that, to do this based on a story from Brandi is BS. Everyone knows Brandi is a liar who'd sell out her own mother for $.

I am now going into a book site I subscribe to and finding books to read but organizing them by genre and sub genre. Meanwhile my house is a pit.

LVPs brand doesn't really do it for me so I'm not excited for myself about her new endeavors, but I am happy for those who like her, the fact that Rinna and Kyle both will be eaten up with jealousy is a big cherry on top.

So Cedric did an interview about LVP and Ken which basically stated his last straw was being asked to eat the staff meals at one of their restaurants. Okay, I totally believe (not) that he gave up a free house in Beverly Hills because of that and Ken and Lisa didn't kick him out. Lol. On the other hand, I can't remember the reasons they gave for kicking him out, but I'm sure they were shady. Everything about that relationship/friendship was off. Too much of a power differencial.

He claimed that Ken was a huge cheater and liked to visit prostitutes, which I can see. He also claimed Lisa had a big makeout session with the Captain of their yacht, which I can also see.

What I don't understand is why these people think it would matter. I don't watch the Real Housewives for their morality and their actions didn't hurt anyone else. They didn't fake cancer and run a scam. They didn't try to destroy someone elses marriage, they didnt accuse someone of wanting to slip another person a mickey to rape them. I really don't care, as long as no one else is damaged what people do in their private lives. High stakes stuff, not a supposed planted article about dog placement. Last year and this year the coven failed to understand this. I will turn on liking someone on a dime if I perceive them as being a bully. See Slurinda and the last two years.

I do not want to see the same behavior from that *itch on the reunion. It's really solidified my dislike and disdain for Dorinda. Added her dislike, when looked at comes down to the fact that Dorinda just does not like Tinsley. Probably stuffed with a lot of class envy.

You can almost smell the smugness. I don't need Bethenny back, while it would help to have her on this season, she couldn't have saved the season. What I would like is a total reboot. No one left on anyone of the long standing shows. That could save the franchise.

I don't care about Jason and his family or their side. Her childhood did not involve them. And as normal as they appear, they seem to have their own brand of viscious passive aggressivness going on, from what I remember from the show and after. No one is perfect.

The thing with these women is for two years in a row they've forced an issue that shouldn't be forced.

With LVP I thought ot was time to go, she seemed done with it, and it became boring for me, to watch her run circles around the other women and not really give much of herself. But then they created a drama around a non issue. LVP planting stories about Dorit. Which no one cared about and attacked her when she was in deep mourning. What kind of jackels do that?

This year it's Denise, they started while she was revovering from a major unexpected surgery. I wasn't really liking her much this year, and despite my defense of her I still don't and Aaron does come across as creepy. But then they did the pile on, and manufactured a big to do anout someone saying don't talk kinky sex in front of my kids, and beat it to death. And now Brandi. No.

These women are so isolated and stupid the don't understand they are creating an underdog. No one likes the bully in the movie, they are in LA, they should know. They are making themselves, cinematically, the villains.

Other then being disgusted at the thought of Denise being with Brandi of all people, I'm unsure about why I'm supposed to be so upset about this.

Cheating is bad yes, but I don't have any particular feeling of loyalty to Aaron, so I don't care. I don't watch these shows for moral life lessons, though I do expect women NOT to infer 14 year old children are whores. I expect people not to sexualize children.

Fourteen, even 14 going on 15 is still really young. The only people I'm still side eyeing about all of this are Erica and the people in the group who cosignned that nasty comment. Dorit, who I've despised since her first season at least tried to shut it down, and Tedi too, but Lisa and Kyle leaned in.

I personally think the women knew about this the night of Denise's party. I think they started talking about threesomes and lesbian encounters to trap Denise. Denise knew and tried to deflect. The other women were frustrated and went too hard. Then they were embarrassed at being called out about doing that in front of the teens, which turned to anger and into the witch hunt we see today.

I agree with what you wrote. Nothing much to add, but I wanted to say that I love this statement and in many ways it encompasses all the interaction of Vyle, Ericunt, and Lipsa for the last two years.
