  1. Thanks neutron.  All of that sounds interesting.

The Amy/Kyle story was good.  No daughter of Paul can be easy to supervise, lol.

Good story about the closeted gay guy, who does not want to admit it to himself.  Good on the diggers for caring only about being a soldier and not caring if people were gay, if that's true in non-soap land.

Paige sure is going to try to reunite her parents.

  2. lol yeah Tyler and Paige are just bad-asses!

Jimmy is cute.  A good find.

It was a bit sad how Amy reacted that Paul was so upset at losing his niece.  It showed Paul was a lot closer to a niece than this daughter.  And nephew Daniel for that matter.  I think this is Paul's first actual child to show up?  No, there was Andrew - was that his son or his nephew?

  3. Maddie is a foster of Roo.  Oscar and Evie are nephew and niece of Zach and Hannah.  Their parents have both died (Hannah's sister and Zach's brother) so they live with Hannah.  Zach lived there before but got out.

Can't recall why Denny was against Andy - may have been his criminality, which he has backed off on a great bit.  Then he was so helpful when Hannah will injured that he wormed his way into Denny's good graces.

Marilyn and John adopted Jett.  In fact, John's previous wife was going to adopt him, but then she died.  Jett started as a foster of John and Gina (his first wife).

Couples on this show break up and get back together, break up and get back together, over and over.   I think Andy and Hannah may have done so at least 5 times lol.  Denny likes to break up with her men frequently.  So we will see how soon it happens again.

The Leah drama got to be too much.  Very successful operation with two crisis afterward.  And it looked like a third but that turned out happily.  Good for the happy ending.

  4. And they so clearly are leaving him a way back in.  At which time Rikki will be married to someone else, of course.  Soap operas!  Naturally Ash will be in the dog house for not telling.   Or "lying" as soap characters call not telling what you know.

  5. Do they think they are entertaining with Ash and Denny breaking up for the 56th time?  It is really getting boring.

So the end says it does not end as we think.  Well I would think Brax and the cop would both drown.  Maybe the cop could get out, but Brax has handcuffs on.  Or is he just so tough he will swim out?  I even had to laugh at the preview with Ash in that water yelling for Brax.

  6. I agree what was it with Roo spying on the therapy sessions?  And Maria makes house calls, so that's how it made that possible.

Josh really was a jerk to make that move, though he made up for it by the end.

The way they start couple with so many breakups - what a jerk move by Ash.  What is it about Brax that he inspires such devotion?

Thanks for the thoughts about my SIL - she really did do all she could to help herself and had physical challenges too.  Leah did come round but of course only after making her loved ones put up with all sorts of stuff.  The pull the plug stuff was not necessary to put Zach and VJ through.

So I guess Andy will get jealous of Dr. Sean.  The writing on the wall is there for that!

  7. Welcome to the board ncbelle.

Leah is a very stubborn person who will not accept any help and has the biggest pride ever.   My sister in law had an un-ruptured aneurysm that they tried to remove when they should not have.  She has a stroke and has had some permanent effects. But then she sought treatment, which Lean refused to do.

  8. So I guess Amy will be onscreen soon.

Lauren and Therese the grandmothers.  Amber is still such a drip.

Daniel will end up with Imogen.  I predict that.  As Imogen said to Amber, this would not have happened to Daniel had he been with her.

  9. Evie did not learn anything.  Again she is poking her nose into Maddie's love life.

Good for coming up with the Gina references.  Poor Gina died.  I'm sure Leah won't.  She'll just keep yelling at people and making stupid decisions.

Funny there is an app where you can locate your family - they obviously haven't downloaded that to their iPhones.  Or they could see where Leah was.  My family does it and it's mostly fun - you can see where everyone is.  It's the kind of thing Leah would have wanted VJ to sign onto.  Though one of my nephews would not sign onto it, saying it would mean he was "being stalked."

Good that Maddie's treatment is working.  They give too many young people cancer in this soap.  It's a Summer Bay staple.  Romeo, Belle, and who knows who else.

  10. Yeah I wonder at Leah jumping to conclusions like that.  I think they are trying to say the aneurysm is making her brain not work.  That money did not necessarily come from the ATM.  As for Matt admitting it, those shows were too long ago and I don't really remember that night, but maybe he's afraid of the other guys.

I did like Maddie not melting down at Roo when Alf told her not to.  Those dunderheads Josh and Evie would never have been able to straighten things out themselves.  It was a nice happy ending with them studying in the chemo room with her.

How long that poor baby has gone without a name!  I like the idea of using the name Casey.

Nat is pretty dumb for asking Kat to do that, I agree.  He is a doctor so doesn't he get professionalism?  Though he does spend a lot of his professional time tending to friends.

  11. If Anna is going to be tormented by anything related to the Carlos shooting, it should be that Carlos's death was wasted. Julian's freedom should be gnawing at her but WdV's casting makes it difficult to buy that there's a personal history there. I really wish this role had been cast with someone like Vincent Irizarry

I like this Julian, but that would have been cool.  Or better yet, Dr. David Hayward.  Anna was on AMC so that's an acceptable crossover.

Oooh, Anna and David. Some of that relationship was stellar soap.

    And Alexis/David would happen too.

  12. Unfortunately this Michelle plot takes another turn.  I wish she would just end up in jail.  Glad that they moved on when it came to Ezra.  In fact it seems like maybe they decided that was not working and wrapped it up, since Ezra and Clem are both gone now.  Or maybe they were short term airing.

Naomi belongs with Paul and Paige with Brennan is what I got out of the car repair class.  Sheila is way too much of a busybody, though that's usually so in soap land as somebody has to be saying something to somebody.

  13.

Points to Shawn for not letting TJ slag his mother. But zzzz that TJ is Shawn's son. I didn't see that coming. /sarcasm

What did Maura West do to Ron to get saddled with that awful wig and accent?

Especially why reveal this when he is leaving.  Maybe it will be awhile?

Did Ava die?  I thought Silas gave her a cocktail to "end her life."  Or was there a miracle cure?  Is this a twin like Rebecca or Ava dressed up?  I watched the show.  It's that it has been so illogical and underwhelming that I don't remember.

  14.

That made me laugh, and yeah, I can feel sorry for Julian.  He's one of those characters that drives me nuts, but WD sells it when he's hurting.  Alexis is the one that drives me nuts.  So HOW many times has she changed her mind now about gangsters and their "choices" and how terrible they are for doing bad things, but she has to stay with them and sleep with them and have their kids because REASONS.

Alexis needs a storyline where she admits to herself she prefers bad boys.  Ned is the only non-criminal I can think of that she's been involved with.  I wasn't watching when she was with Ric, but he's not good either.  Jerry, Sonny, Julian.  Sean.  Just deal with the fact  she likes them that way.  She must realize that she keeps going back to them - or picking another one.

And the scene where she leaves Julian due to his mobness is getting boring played over and over again.  Just let him "protect" you and your family.  Living in that town you practically need it.  Not romancing him doesn't make you and yours any safer.  And he even tried to leave for her and at her request.  I forget how he got back in, but she could deal with it taking awhile and not being so simple to get out of.  Come to think of it, with Fluke gone, he can get out easier.

  15. Why doesn't Snarly help Joss cope with her meltdown over corn futures? Mother of the year, not.

I noticed that random Joss mention too and usually that means she will show up soon. They really like to milk the "in jokes" for all it's worth.

Ned's name is on the birth certificate. Julian has no legal standing.

In the real world, I think a putative father can sue to establish paternity.  One cannot get around that simply by naming the desired man on the birth certificate.  They will use DNA.  If Ned and Olivia were married but the DNA test said Julian was the father, in my state, there would be two presumptions of paternity (there is one that a baby born in a marriage is the child of the husband) and the court would decide in the child's best interest.

Soap opera law is another matter, and in Port Charles the mother can apparently "list" a father.  I'm sure there will be some court battle in which we find out what GH law provides.  Ned and Olivia might get married in an effort to make the child theirs (in real world, that would not help that much, as they weren't married when the baby was born).

Has Olivia named the baby yet? Haven't been watching, but really don't understand how she possibly thinks lying about the baby dying is a legitimate long term solution. Then again, Olivia has never been the brightest.

I wish Ron would leave real life pregnancies alone. I thought it was really sick to make a truly pregnant Teresa Castillo play out a story where her baby died. This is slightly better but still icky. If he's not going to have the babies off screen being raised by a nanny, then he needs to stop writing pregnancies into the show. At least that would give them a future generation for the show...though odds are this show won't last long enough to see these babies aged to teens anyway.

True.  And once they are born and the paternity plots over, he then does have them raised offscreen.  Liz hardly mentions Aidan or Cameron.

The monotony, I swear. It's the same thing over and over and over again.

So, did Liz just up and leave work? Her not doing her job is starting to be the new "Shawn can't shoot straight" meme. And speaking of Liz, it kind of threw me yesterday when Nik called her that. Doesn't he always call her Elizabeth? Or was that Jason?

I noticed that too - when she was back at Windermere talking to Nik again, it felt like she could not have done a whole shift at the hospital.  She went in to work just for the scenes with Jake and Sam.

  16. Monday was especially badly written.

In two situations, people are discussing stopping someone already on their way to do something - the natural thing is to run after Hayden/Jake rather than sitting there having a discussion.  How lucky Liz is Hayden didn't just spit it out.  And why do they tease with scenes like that?  It's annoying, not intriguing.  Hayden spending an hour talking about how she knows rather than spitting it out - couldn't they have spend the airtime doing something else?  These will they or won't they scenes are getting as boring as the constant holding at gunpoint and there was some of that too.

And what the heck is the Franco/Nina/Ric stuff?  I think they meant it to be comic relief.  I admit I did laugh when the knock at the door was the Justice of the Peace.

Now Nik is ordering hits.  Oh great, maybe he will join the mob.

  17. Wow my niece is a week past her due date and was beaten out by Ricki.  Which I didi not expect.

Marilyn is rather selfish I think; what of Jett's dreams?  Not that they set this up so well and he suddenly wants to be in the army.
