IratePanda - you should see me on trivia about scifi shows. :)

No joke, I recently discovered that due to having this memory for detail, I have actual family members who think I'm probably autistic.

TLC should be paying you for having to keep all this trash in your head

This is from the latest episode topic, and this seemed the most appropriate place.

About Glenn's LinkedIn profile. I looked him up on LinkedIn - and I was signed in since I have a LinkedIn account. There are 3 "Glenn Thore" profiles that are very similar but only this one is in anything like complete: https://www.linkedin.com/in/glenn-thore-23902224 He probably signed in at different times, and wasn't sure what he was doing when he made the other two profiles. Then I assume that he - or someone helping him - created the complete one. The incomplete "Stan" one looks to me like he was writing a recommendation for someone named Stan who reported to him, but didn't do it in the right place.

Glad you cleared "Stan" up I was beginning to think everyone (Lenny, Tal) who knew Whitney felt the need to use fake names.

Has Whitney ever mentioned how Babs treated her (Whitney's) weight issues at the beginning?  Was she supportive, critical, neither?  At least at the beginning of when I started watching Glenn seemed to try and reign in Whitney, but has seemingly given up.    Babs seems to crack jokes, passive aggressively I suppose, but have they ever shown or told of Babs really laying into Whitney about her weight?  I guess when your "kid" is getting close to 40 there's not much you can do.  I guess Babs and Glenn can at least be happy TLC is paying at least some of Whitneys bills now.

Yeah... basically they found out Rocky had cancer and let him die of it. I'm actually trying to be pretty fair here, I know because it was reported on social media by Jacob Roloff that the dog was sick about six months before it died and in the episodes surrounding the death, there was really no talk of heroic measures (and to be honest, with a dog over 10 the size of Rocky, I'm not sure I'd aggressively pursue a cancer diagnosis) and basically they did nothing and let the dog die on it's own. It was of course prominently displayed as a family moment. But once the dog was diagnosised with cancer, they pretty much just left him to wander around the farm.

Well I hope he wasn't wandering around in pain...I don't know how you remember all this stuff ZoloftBlob...but I'm glad you do..for our sake...probably sucks for you lol.  BTW I still call you ZoloftBob in my head despite your avatar ;)

IratePanda - in short, yes, Jeremy was always this much of an asshole. It's just that he has not, until the last few years, been required to really participate with the show activities because of his status as Number One Son.

And Audrey and how long they dated etc is a prime example of how Jeremy was shielded.

Tori probably came first since I think she met Zach in 2010 or 11. Audrey and Jeremy dated (or rather, Jeremy pursued an unwilling Audrey who finally came to her senses) for about two years until she agreed to be his girlfriend. She was known to be his girlfriend when he went to Brooks for his first year in Aug of 2011. However, this was all kept rather quiet and only really appeared on social media. On the show, Audrey didn't appear until I think 2013 even though per Jer and Auj, they were in a committed long distance relationship when he went to Brooks in Aug 2011. During those two years, Jeremy was not depicted as having a girlfriend at all. Jeremy was not required, unlike Zach, to date girls on camera and to display his relationships, until the whole marriage made it avoidable. Once married on TLC's dime, these two then skipped off to Los Angeles for eight months, until it was clear that they weren't going to be scooped up as stars, and then returned to Oregon to settle in Bend because the skiing was better there, basically.

Auj in early episodes is just kinda there. It's after the marriage that you start to get the serious vibe that she can't stand Jeremy's family. It's also when you start to see Jeremy really start the "OMG I WANT THE FARM!" routine. Living in Bend, of course, makes actually working on the farm awkward and there's a number of examples of Jeremy being off and playing and Zach being asked to explain how he plans to support a wife/child. Which is another example of how Jeremy is protected - you never see Matt have these oh so serious discussion with Jeremy on how he needs to get a job.

The most recent idiocy was how Jer and Auj were clearly annoyed that Zach and Tory decided to get pregnant without considering Jeremy's role of first and best at everything, made, I suspect, 100 times worse in that Zach's child is a boy and Jeremy's second best is a girl. (I'm not even trying to be an ass, Matt Roloff was clearly and visibly disappointed at the gender reveal and literally turned to Zach and declared the male grandchild the king of the farm.)

Thank you for the rundown...sadly or not I've blocked out most things Roloff.  The only things I truly recall are Jacob's accident, Matt mouthing off about shooting a Rocky (I wanted to kick his crutch when he said that because it's one thing to end your pet's suffering and have a vet come and euthanize him,  but you know the Roloffs are such fuckups they would have probably just maimed the poor animal...I'm hoping when Rocky died it was painless, I'm assuming they actually had a professional put him down or died of natural causes), Amy jumping on the County/State inspector's lap to prevent him from entering or leaving the farm, Matt passed out face first on the floor and his family seemingly not giving one damn, the trials and tribulations of Matts DUIs...ALWAYS MORE!

  5. I had stop watching LPBW sometime when the twins were in high school then caught them on and off over the years.  Couldn't stand most of the fools in the family but was Jeremy this pretentious before Audrey? I always found him to be an idiot and at times an asshole but now he's insufferable.  When did Audrey come into the picture? Also, to be fair was she this horrible when she first came on the show or did Prince Roloff just bring out her asshole tendencies? One last thing who met whom first...J&A or Z&T?

Actually, they were introduced by name & organization. If I remember correctly, the guy in the tie is from a community college, the woman owns her own dance studio, aaaaaand ... I can't remember what group the other guy represented. I'm wondering if that's the reason all the judges looked so uncomfortable. They didn't realize they'd be outed on national TV when they accepted the TLC check. Maybe they thought they'd just be sitting anonymously in the background instead of front & center.

I know this is a old comment but I burst out laughing so loud my dog ran in the room barking, the male judge looked like he wanted to disappear into the floor.

  7. I'm pleading with you guys who quote posts in the future, please leave the words but delete Audrey's pic LOL.  God these two are maddening.  I'm glad Amber(typo stays) is healthy.  How long do you think before the dynamic duo is begging Jeremy's "former" family to babysit and how long before they come out with a parenting book/website? #parentingdidntlooklikethisonpintrest #alwaysmorebutisettledforless #myhashtagsareworsethanamys

I think Whoopi would quit the show first before she did that.  She can be so horrible at times.  The nerve and hypocrisy of her statement is mind blowing.  And to think she wrote a book called, Whoopi's Big Book of Manners.

I totally thought you were joking about this book, so a woman that farts constantly in front of strangers, talks about not bathing, screams at her coworkers, is giving advice on how to be a part of polite society?

On a side note, neither liked nor disliked Jedidiah, but find the lopsidedness perspective of the view annoying when they try and present themselves as a well-rounded show.  I don't really really care if they have point-counterpoints to show all sides, just don't purport yourself to be that type of show.  Maybe Michelle Collins can help Jedi get a job hosting the bonus clips from the Little Women reality shows.  I know a gig is a gig, but really??

Curvycon did  a very puffed-up video bio to introduce Whitney, which she posted on her Facebook timeline. It included a brief shot of the picture of her showing off her bruised leg in Hawaii. And Will Powell (who is recovering fast, is back to running and will be allowed to start weight lifting again in a few weeks) commented:

What happened to Will?  I don't understand how anyone could honestly believe Whitney is losing weight.  In this picture, Whitney easily looks 400 pounds, I don't follow her FB but how can't her "fans" not see this?  If she just said, "Hey, Im fat and will continue eating what I want, and not exercise properly.  These things are why I'm morbidly obese"  then I'd get it.  The problem is this fool claims to actually be working on her weight issues, and blame everything and everyone but herself.

Horrifying thought that just occurred to me: maybe Whitney cannot physically reach far enough to masturbate. That is...a disgusting image. And why on EARTH would ANYONE just keep gaining weight if they got to that point?!

That's kinda my point. I think Twit uses BooBoo or a long-handled vibrator. Again, from personal experience, it is very hard to reach your privates when you weigh 380+ pounds.

I thought you said RELIVE Twit's horniness (i.e. hearing her made up stories of men/women/drunken elves/whoever else might happen by wanting her and thought Good Lord! Nothing worse than that!  Then I saw it said relieve and realized I was wrong there is something worse than that :( Sorry, Dot, I might have to summons you over to the Judge Judy thread and sue for damages for putting that thought out into the universe lol.  Honestly, it's not Whitney's size that makes it awful it's because she's such an over dramatic attention hog I can only imagine the hammy theatrics, it be a bad community theater version of the When Harry Met Sally restaurant scene.

I agree, she needs counseling.  I guess I am the kind of person that can only take the humming and hawing so long before I say "Screw it."

I wish Andrea would just come out and, in no uncertain terms, tell Amanda she is not going back.  Heck, she never should've left Dallas in the first place.  And I wish Amanda would realize it is over and move on.

I wonder if the LWD franchise is going to make room for Andrea or if she is done indefinitely?

Supposedly Andrea was trying to get. On the Dallas show but it would be a pay cut for her do she balked at that.  We'll see how it goes

  12. I always figured people questioned Chris' motives as opposed to Karen's because  I figured it was a given she was with Matt for the money/show...not because he's a little person but because he's an asshole.  I don't really find Amy attractive but Christ isn't any prize either.  Both are average to me.  I didn't really question Chris  in regards to scamming, but because, at least to me, he and Amy seemingly had no chemistry.  I have more of a spark with the guy who bags my groceries...I'm not saying they need to hump on screen....nobody needs that...but they seem like just friends.  Maybe they are just private.  Btw I think Amy can be a jerk too, but glad if she's found somebody decent to be with.

Eta: Some of the more rabid Roloff fans are always going to blame Amy for the divorce and therefore think she's  undesirable.  FWIW I think she and Matt are both equally a couple of bums and wouldn't want to be  married to either of them.

  13. Lifetime needs to hire Kevin Frazier for all their reunions, glad he knocked Joes drunken lil ass back into the audience and glad Elena went in hard on Terra and did Matt basically admit AGAIN he was asking for sex from other people. Trifling.

  14. I think Elenas assessment of Terra's DWTS obsession was fair since Terra basically harped on Joe to have a second child then basically drop the kid and ran off to do DWTS.  Joe basically agreed with Elena Terra was in it for the fame. Joe looks like he can barely take care of himself much less two kids under two. I assume they have a nanny or something but Joe like Brianna doesn't physically seem capable of taking care of both these kids at the same time....maybe I'm wrong.   I don't think there's anything wrong with Terra doing these projects but back-to-back (DWTS, LW Show, the book, etc) seemed crazy.  I guess she's getting the money while she can somebody's got to pay the bills.  I did think she looked in great shape after DWTS.

IMO, Caryn was never Amy's friend. She was always Matts'  ally. I remember scenes of her during pumpkin season for two or three years in a row.  She brushed aside any ideas from Amy and the kids, and always carried out Matts wishes/ good or bad. I felt she and Matt had a closer relationship than appropriate back then.

I thought the same thing years ago.  I went a few years without seeing this show but I remember seeing her and Matt on an episode and thinking  they seemed a bit too close.   Now years later they're "dating"

Eta: Actually now thinking back it was my boyfriend, who was irritated I'd make him watch the show that pointed out Matt and Caryn were more than just friends.  Of course, he never did like Matt.  This would have been years ago but does anyone remember an episode where Matt fell in his office and his family (at least Jeremy and Amy, I can't remember if the other kids were there) barely seemed concerned Matt was face down on the ground and not moving?  This was before I knew Matt was a complete jerk, but I remember telling my boyfriend," I get this is probably a reenactment, but shouldn't his family be running over to him?  Shouldn't they be frantic since he looked dead/collapsed? ".   My boyfriend stated, "Matt Roloff is an tyrannical ass.  I'd leave him on the floor too.  He's only two feet tall, how far could've he had fallen?"   After that, I did start noticing how trifling Matt was although I never cared for Amy either.

One of the things @Ketzel wrote particularly resonated with me, viz., that at the beginning she felt for Whitney cuz she was trying to improve her health. Some of you may recall I said essentially the same thing a while back: I came for the premise but stayed for the snark. When the show was first announced, I looked forward to a young woman's journey to good health while refusing to let her wgt & appearance get her down. Instead, I got a show about a narcissist who espouses an unsound & unsafe philosophy. And, as @momofsquid wrote, she can eat herself to death, if she wants, but has no right to take "vulnerable and gullible followers" with her. In summary I agree with @Snarklepuss in her comment to Twit: "We are all over you because you are deluding yourself."

Her rabid fans called me out for not revealing who am I am, not that I know anything about any of them either. But I am happy to explain why I have a right to express my opinion of Twit's drivel, esp. as it relates to the potential harm she can cause to susceptible women who believe every word she says. I am going to post an abbreviated version of this on Twit's FB page if I am still not yet blocked.

Here is who I am: a nearly 79-year-old woman with a multiplicity of health problems, all of which can be traced back to a lifetime of obesity interlaced with yo-yo dieting. (Are you reading this, Twit? It's primarily a warning to you.) Both knees are shot; I use a cane or walker or electric scooter. I have hypertension, high cholesterol & diabetes 2. My doc is currently pissed at me because one of my heart's arteries is believed clogged with plaque & I thus far have refused to have an angiagram.

I have been fat since I was 5 years old -- sometimes really, really fat & sometimes just chubby. I finally really let myself go & reached an estimated 380 #s -- could have been 390+; at the time my doc didn't didn't have a scale to weigh me. One morning -- it was 04/05/04, I still remember -- I awoke & acknowledged I was gonna die soon if I kept eating the way I was. That day I started a routine of exercise (I use this little foot peddle thing & rubber bands now), healthy eating & keeping a diet diary. I was 65 when I started. I never have been able to get below 260#s, much as I'd love to lose another 100#s. (I kinda subscribe to the set point theory in bariatrics.) But I can now fit in a chair with arms. My car's steering wheel doesn't rub across my belly. For all my health problems, I feel pretty good most of the time. And I have lived about 14 years longer than I would have as a near-400#er.

I have managed to maintain those 260#s all these years tho I realized recently that I had gained about 20#  gradually, without noticing, over a couple of years. I have lost most of that gain & plan to be more attentive in the future. I WILL NEVER WEIGH 380#s AGAIN.

So, that's who I am, Whitney: your future if you don't quit lying to yourself & your rabid fans. I wish I had learned my lesson at 33, not 65.

This post is why I have no problem with people snarking  on Whitney.  Dot, whether you meant for it to be, your story is an inspiration, exactly what Whitney claims to be.   You worked hard and got healthier.  You admitted you backslid a little and made appropriate choices to change it.  Great job on keeping up with your lifestyle changes.   It is hard, but like you said your life basically depends on it.

On a side note, my problem with Whitney isn't her weight except for maybe the horse episode...I still don't think that horse should be carrying her weight.  My problem with Whitney is her attitude and how she treats the people in her life.  Normally this wouldn't be my business but she made it the public's business with her stupid show. She's delusional.  I'm just trying to figure out if it's real delusion or part delusion part tlc paycheck.

  17. The only way I believe Briana thinks all these men are hitting on her besides being delusional or straight up lying is she's one of the people who think ANY sort of positive/neutral interaction with a man is his flirting/wanting her (see Whitney Weighs More on My Big FatFabulous Life).

What were Briana and Joe arguing about? Must have been on the losing end if she busted out the "hitting on me" reply. Of course she said it so it must true cause she is just so beautiful he couldn't help himself. Smh

I'm not sure what he said as his tweets were deleted by the time I saw her responses.  I do know Briana said something about Joe saying she was a punching bag but I didnt see that as an insult since he was basically calling Terra a bully.  No idea if he said it again in a rude way to her.  Either there's no way I believe Joe was hitting on Brianna and I don't even like Joe.

  19. Briana's latest rant on Twitter....wasn't sure if it belongs here for Briana or in media for Twitter.  Joe seems to have deleted his tweets.  Brianna posted more but this one was just ridiculous.  Joe hitting on Elena...sure.  Joe hitting on

Brianna! He's not getting his ass beat by Terra for Brianna's funky self unless Terra wrote it into the script.  Couldn't grab a screen shot on my phone.

You're a tough guy behind a keyboard! How come you never said this to my face? Oh wait you were too busy hitting on me. BTW you're welcome

Now she got Joe hitting on her.  First Todd, then Trevore, now Joe? Girl, please!  I don't even like Joe and I ain't buying this.  So basically everyone but her own husband hits on her.  She needs to worry about a bar of soap hitting on her funky ass.
