  1. I am way late posting this week, so just a couple of thoughts.

    Overall, I enjoyed the show.

I really wish we could have at least one week without a theme.

Laughed out loud at Wayne's "contractually obligated".  He killed it tonight.

Charli does not need to be behind Heidi during the after-dance interview every time.

Gabby sounded like a full-of-herself airhead tonight.

Shangela stared off slow, but picked it up toward the end. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Vinny, Daniel, Jessie, and Trevor are at least trying, and not just "phoning it in", but they should be the next to go. Vinny's Jersey Shore fanbase may keep him around for a while, though.

Gabby and Jordin are just meh and forgettable to me.

I can't stand Charli. Her mom doesn't bother me that much, to me she seems more real and somewhat relatable.

Between the bottom two, based on the amount of improvement, I feel like the judges made the right pick.

I have fixed my hate laser on that irritating troupe guy who's constantly mugging and trying to grab the camera lens with his over dancing and winking. I hope he doesn't become one of the regular pros.

I mentioned this in a previous post, saying that he gives me Jenna vibes 🤣

  3. So, I was finally able to watch a show on the night it aired...

Bummed that there wasn't an opening number

Trevor-I love Emma's dress. Imo, this was his best dance so far

Shangela-Very pretty dance. I liked seeing a softer side of her

Jessie-The dance wasn't bad, she  just doesn't do anything for me

Gabby-I liked the dance, but same as Jessie

Joseph-What am I missing? I felt like he did more standing/posing than he did dancing. Also, what is Carrie Ann talking about? Poor Derek

    Daniel-Good recovery from last week

What is Emma on? She's super hyper tonight🤣

    Jordin-That was a fun dance

Tyra is so incredibly awkward it's embarrasing

They need to bolt those chairs to the floor

You have to give it to Mark, he really goes all in, and lol that they're still yellow

Charli-Of course she gets the first 10s, my eyes are rolling so hard right now I have a headache.

Side note-I still don't like contemporary dances for this show, it's extremely subjective.

Vinnie-He's improving every week, but still has a ways to go.

Ugh to the costume changes coming back

Heidi-I'm liking her more and more each week. I thought this dance was really good. Did someone drop the camera?

Wayne-No words, just wow. Thank you Bruno!

Selma-I'm sorry she had to go out like that, but I'm glad she's taking care of herself and doing what she needs to do to stay as healthy as she can

  4. I really like that they are showing the troupe/dancing to fill time again :)

How many times are they going to say "Disney Plus"? If it was a drinking game we'd be in trouble, lol

I really like not having commercials.

It wish they would have picked Sam instead of Trevor, but once you're in the bottom two twice...

I hope Wayne gets the first 10 of the season, but that honor will probably go to Charli 🙄

Speaking of, did Charli and Mark kind of blend in with the backdrop at the beginning of their routine, or was it just me?

Heidi is growing on me, and improves every week. I won't be upset if she goes farther than I originally thought she would. Charli mugging behind her in the Skybox is annoying and childish.

Gabby still flies under my radar, but that dance was really good.

Jessie is so whiny and obnoxious, I just can't with her.

I mostly liked Jordin's dance this week, but the floor spin and last lift were awkward.

Have I mentioned before how much I love Wayne? 🤣

There was talk prior to the start of the season about older people not wanting to move to streaming. Hopefully these folks have family members who can encourage them as well as set the requirements up for them.
Others have said they don't want to pay for the show.

I happened to have Disney+ already because it was bundled with my Hulu <shrug>

I'm late to the game this week. I mostly agree with what everyone else has already said.

I didn't notice the whole Sasha/Emma thing other than seeing Sasha standing behind Trevor and Emma.

I hate it when they use so much fog that you can't see the dancers' lower legs/feet. Yes, I know that's the oblective, but still...

I don't think anyone should have gotten a 9 this week, it's still too early, plus I don't think that any of the routines deserved a 9.

How much product do they use in Val's hair? 🤣

Top 4 are probably going to be Wayne, Charli, Gabby, and Shangela.

Selma and Daniel continue to amaze me, although I do think that Daniel was over-scored this week.

Either Charli or Gabby(more likely Gabby) might be a surprise early exit.

If I recall correctly, Mark's freestyles can be hit or miss, so that could affect the outcome.

Does anyone else get "Jenna" vibes from D'Angelo?

I keep forgetting about  Jordin. Brandon needs to do something to make her stand out more. She seems to have the capability to do tougher choreography than he is giving her.

IMO, the next four people that should get voted off purely based on their dancing ability are Vinnie, Sam, Trevor, and Heidi.

I want Wayne to win, with Shangela taking second place :)

Daniel-seems nice enough, but have they forgotten about Nyle? They're acting like he's the first deaf contestant the show has ever had.

I am not meaning to take anything away from him by saying this, he's doing great.

  7. I'm going to start by saying that I feel that some of the scores were too generous tonight. On the one hand, while there was improvement, it wasn't 2 points worth of improvement, and going the other way, some of the scores should have been lower than the scores they got last week.

The following is in no particular order, just as it is coming to mind...

I like Sam, he really seems to like being there and is really trying. I applaud his efforts.

I don't really care for Vinny, but, like Sam, at least he's giving it his all.

Charli stumbled in a few places, definitely did't deserve the score she got.

Theresa-quit grabbing the mic! I'm glad she's gone, but I feel kind of bad for Pasha.

Cheryl needs to step up her game, both for her sake and I would hate to see Louie exit so early.

I hope Wayne makes it through the season, he's my favorite.

    Joseph, meh.

Daniel-seems nice enough, but have they forgotten about Nyle? They're acting like he's the first deaf contestant the show has ever had.

Selma-I give her props for what she's doing

Shangela is doing Shangela, and it's awesome.

Anybody else I missed is probably because the are forgetable to me .

I hope there isn't a theme night every week.

Did Alfonso really just that about Travor and Emma's chemistry?!

Bruno absolutely cracks me up, I love him.

Someone needs to tell Jordan that $1,000 is still a lot of money to some people, regardless of age. Her comment made her seem insensitive and out of touch.

  8. Thoughts about this episode...

I am glad they brought back lower scores-starting with all 7s and 8s as has happened in previous seasons doesn't really give them a lot of room to improve score-wise throughout the season.

I am happy that they brought back some of the "before Tyra" aspects to the show.

    I like Alfonso.

I don't like that you can start voting before you even see anyone dance.

I also don't like that they eliminate someone on the first show.  I mean come on, give them a chance.

    Wayne is my favorite 🙂

I remember a rapper doing a duet with a country singer, but I didn’t realize that was Nelly and Tim McGraw!

You might be thinking of the one that was Billy Ray Cyrus and LilNasX(sp?)called Old Town Road.

  10. My eyes!  My eyes!  For the love of all that's holy, what was up with the costumes this episode? Some of them were ok, but for the most part they were down right atrocious.

I wouldn't have been sad to see Johnny go.

Again, though, how is Chrishell still not in the bottom two?

Skai had a deer caught in the headlights look on her face throughout her dance.  The stumbles didn't help.

I feel like Nelly is warming up, and I like that he's obviously having fun now.

    Poor Vernon, he tried.

Monica is still meh to me, but I will admit she danced better tonight.

I can see AJ being a surprise elimination.

Justina, Jeannie, and Nev will probably be the ones in the top three, with Kaitlyn nipping at their heels(unless the Bachelorette Nation does it's thing again)

Why was Sasha standing so far away from Justina when they were shown in the balcony?

Sharna and Emma were there. Have no clue why.

Say what you will about Derek, he's a fantastic dancer and I love watching him dance.

  11. Well, I guess this shows how (not) excited I have been to watch this season-I finally caught up with this episode.<shrug>

The wigs were horrendous, especially Alan's-were they trying to make him look like Doc Brown from Back to the Future? If so, they failed.

Nev's maniacal look throughout most of his dance creeped me out.

To those saying that Tyra didn't mess up this week, she flubbed quite a few of her lines, plus her saying the. number. to. text. is. 7. 2. 9 (whatever it is) is really getting on my nerves.  I know I should just start FF'ing her...

    Johnny was overscored

Jesse was probably the right one to leave, but I'm kind of sad about it because I like Sharna

How was Chrishell not in the bottom two?

I just realized I'm typing this after the next episode has already aired. Maybe I'll catch up with last night's episode before next week😂

He's the biggest ringer of the whole cast. I didn't have a clue until his first dance, after which I googled him because I was taken aback at how good he was in Week One.

Didn't realize that-I had never heard of him before this show...

  13. Did anyone else feel like this show was interminable? I kept thinking it had to be almost over, but nope-let's announce a few more dancers coming up next...

My comments on the dances, in no particular order:

Skai's dance did not deserve a 10, I feel like she got pity scores.  She looked very stiff, even robotic, at the beginning.

Nelly seems kind of disconnected to the whole thing, and doesn't appear to care for Daniella hanging all over/hugging him.

Still like Nev, although wondering if he's a ringer.

Kaitlyn doesn't do anything for me

Did not need to see Chrishell injecting herself with whatever-tell your story, but I don't need the visuals. Her dancing is improving somewhat, though.

Vernon is solidly in the middle of the pack for me. He seems like a really nice guy, and his dances so far have been good, but not stand-out.

I keep forgetting about Jesse, so I guess that says it all for me.

    Monica, meh

For some reason, all the J's annoy me.

The Backstreet Boys being in AJ's routine the way they were was just distracting, and his going back up to the stage to do the solo part didn't gel with the rest of the dance. Like Bruno said-where was the Cha-Cha?

If Tyra would just shut up for parts of the show, or take less time to announce who is safe, it wouldn't be so rushed at the end.  Also, quit with the costume changes(as an aside, she really needs to fire whoever puts her in those get-ups).

Speaking of announcing who was safe, what in the name of all that's holy happened?!  Could she not see that there were 3 couples left when she started saying who the bottom two were(not to mention that one of the couples in the bottom two had already been announced as safe)?

  14. A few thoughts on this episode...

I didn't know anything about Nev before this, but I'm somewhat impressed by him so far. His mannerisms as Jack Sparrow were spot on, and his dancing ability surprises me for some reason.

Poor Pasha-what was up with that costume?  I was embarrased for him.  Did anyone else catch Bruno's face during their dance? It was priceless.  Glad Carole is gone.

Tyra sucks, and her outfits are horrible-BRING TOM BACK!!!

I see Nev and Kaitlyn battling it out for first place-the rest of them are kind of middle of the pack or worse to me, altough I do like AJ, Justine, and Jeannie's enthusiasm(although Jeannie's taking the 8 paddle was a little much).

Any one of Nelly, Anne, Chrishell, or Jesse should be the next to go, but Monica and Skai aren't too far behind them.

I like having Derek as a judge-he gives good constructive criticism in a nice way. While Bruno does as well, he's a lot more elaborate about it. CAI is relatively useless as far as that goes.

  15. I'm really trying this season, but man, they're making it difficult.  Tyra is just not good, and WTH was she wearing?!

I have liked the addition of Derek-when he was given time to speak, he actually gave good constructive criticism/advice.

Already tired of the cat theme for Carole.

Don't really care too much about any of the contestants this year, so don't have anyone I'm particularly rooting for <shrug>

  16. Finally was able to watch, but it's late, so just a couple of quick comments right now...

Tyra wasn't as completely unsufferable as I thought she would be(which was extremely), but she was still pretty bad and uncomfortable to watch.  Bring back Tom!

Have there always been that many crotch shots with the Tango dresses?

Poor Pasha, I really enjoyed him last season, and seeing his reaction to his partner(and who could blame him?  Also, they were the only ones that didn't hug<shrug>)made me kind of sad. I was hoping he would get a good partner this season.

I am glad that they are bringing out the lower numbered paddles again, it gives them somewhere to go.

Anne said her breakout role was Six days, Seven Nights, but I remember her mostly from Another World(yes, I'm that old 😂)

P.S: Pasha's shell-shocked look of disbelief and inability to know what to do when Carole Baskin showed up in his rehearsal room was the best part of the entire night.

I felt so bad for him when I saw that 😞
