I would normally be happy with Abishola hanging out more with Christina, it seems like Christina needs more people in her life, but it seems really out of character for Abishola to suddenly start day drinking the second she starts adjusting to married life. I can see her wanting to finally take some time for herself and letting a bit loose, but I thought she would have one day when things got out of hand and then dial back.

Douglas's ridiculously sinister line delivery when he revealed that he was working with Kofo was hilarious.

Don’t forget the luxury shopping spree! The same woman who wouldn’t let her son accept a used video game console that was in a junk box in Bob’s garage now owns something from every designer store in the greater Detroit area. Not to mention she’s buying paper towels for two households!

I'm thinking maybe Bunny went to talk to Mabel for some reason, and the murderer was in there (possibly for the green ring?) lying in wait for Mabel to return and got surprised when Bunny came in instead and stabbed Bunny with the knitting needle because it was close at hand? I just cannot fathom why Bunny was wearing the Podcast sweatshirt.......

I am wondering if we will hear the podcast "Only Murderers in the Building" from Cinda's perspective next season? Either way, I hope our group gets cleared quickly and is out of jail early.

Got a good laugh at Siri playing"Fields of Gold" by Sting when Charles couldn't talk. Of course it was Sting. Love everything Steve Martin did this episode. The elevator stuff was hilarious. The speech about their friendship he gave only he understood. Even him simply deleting his name from the text made me laugh. So good.

I kept thinking it was too simple for Jan to be the murderer, but I wasn't disappointed in the way it played out. Mabel got to use her fighting skills for good this time! I hope they can keep up the quality next season. It can't come soon enough!

It might be a continuity error or it might be a clue, but Mabel was wearing a longish, camel-colored coat when they were toasting on the roof. She wasn’t wearing the coat when the guys found her with Bunny.

  3. Even I can temper eggs, so hearing all the comments about the bakers having scrambled them in the toffee topping confuses me.

Also confusing is when Paul said there were 9 fantastic bakers left in the tent. The show is still eliminating bakers who don't meet the threshold for competitive fitness. I think there are 4 decent bakers this season: Giuseppe, Juergen, Chigs, and Crystelle.

I always felt Maggie was showing the "tears of a clown" and I appreciated Noel talking to her about her work as a midwife -- where she'd been successful at something important in the circle of life.

Juergen's Insta account is JuergenTheBread? I don't get the play on words? And, ironically, he didn't do well in the bread competition.

Lizzie is going to be a pebble in my shoe. There is at least 1 baker every season who can't bake for crap but has "amazing flavors" and slides through by never being the worst contestant that week. Those "bakers" frustrate me to no end!

MeeMaw was suspicious because she ran into Brenda at the store and was all innocently talking about how Brenda was there and their big event (being the heart attack not that they were there together).  Brenda got all squirrely about it saying they weren't even together there. But she was clearly lying.

Missy started questioning God because they were at the Moses part of the Bible where God kills the baby boys and she was troubled about that. Especially because Sheldon was explaining HOW God had the baby boys killed (drowning in the river). I did like that the pastor was encouraging her to question things because I think it is important if a person is going to believe that they believe because they choose to not because "this is what we do."

Thank you — that was very helpful!

I laughed at Charles and Oliver running out of the building, Oliver getting his car, Charles being shocked that Oliver has a car and then Oliver making Charles drive because his license expired 25 years ago.

I also had to laugh at the randomness of them getting a ride from horticulture podcasters.

I loved how Oliver climbed into the backseat, like he was being chauffeured, and Charles didn’t blink an eye.

  6. I’ve never cared for Jan, so I’m hoping it’s not her. I could see how/why she’d not mention she was being moved down a chair, so maybe that’s a misdirect.

Sazz was great, but I’ll watch Jane Lynch read a phone book.

This was my least favorite episode. Too much arguing that seemed like filler. Charles is quitting, but we know he won’t. The tenants would rather let a murderer get away than have some bad publicity for the building, which is already too late anyway. Teddy and Theo go out with just a front page, and we spent all those weeks focusing on the jewelry thefts and The Cutter and Tim’s search that had nothing to do with his death?

I was able to sign up for the Peacock Network (free) and am able to access Season 1 (I missed their first seasons).  I'm hoping to catch up with all of them, but with the free version, I might be limited as to how many episodes I can get.  I will see if I get the newer ones as soon as I have a little more time.

Yay to seeing the castle in it's early stages of renovation!!  That's what I've been wanting to see.

Yay! Glad you’ve gotten to see it.

It’s pretty insane what they’ve accomplished. I wonder if they ever sit down.

  8. So Maggie’s show stopper was too basic but the guy’s bread basket was simple but effective. Did Maggie kick Paul’s dog or something? He really didn’t need to be an asshole and ask her if it should’ve taken her that long. Saying she needs to be more creative is helpful. Telling her she wasted time isn’t.

  9. This episode really irritated me. Everyone was shrill, and I wanted them to just shut up. Stop whining, stop crying, stop being stupid.

Everyone was orange, and the set was weirdly lit. Sheldon’s too big to be given the same kind of lines he had as a 7 year old. Georgie’s skeevy. Brenda and George dancing around a mutual attraction is gross.

  10. New season on Peacock! 6 episodes. I’m watching the first episode, and they’re going through all the work they did while events were prohibited due to the pandemic.

ETA: Binged the series while I couldn’t sleep. Some great changes and Dick got a new toy — a wood working machine in a new shop! I didn’t care for the pool house. It’s probably the one major project of theirs I thought wasn’t great. The steam from the pool on the windows, the open toilet, the view of the dirt road. I think it should’ve been a sauna and cold water dipping pool.

The chandelier and library looked great, but the library was a bit small with all the shelves. I guess it’s not intended to be a family reading room, though.

Loved seeing them and their lovely property again!

    This actually is plausible.

    • First, from the episode transcript (with emphasis added): "...one of the neighbors on 2 has a Ring camera pointed at the courtyard..."
My daughter and her husband have cameras pointing at their porch to catch "porch pirates" and also to catch hit-n-runs when they had street parking.
I bet there are a lot of them in the building.

    • Secondly, we know that initially the detective didn't think the case required much detecting, so she probably didn't canvas the entire building for personal security cameras.

Oh! I don’t doubt the footage is real, I’m saying it’s reveal is convenient. I don’t want the killer or the motive to be a surprise reveal 5 minutes before the show ends, and this sudden emergence of video footage makes me think that’s where we’re headed.

My memory is terrible.  Did Tim also get a "I'm watching you" note on his door before he was killed?  I know someone did but I can't recall who.

The only other note on the door I remember was on Oscars, “End the podcast or I’ll end you” or something like that. I remember the “E”’s were distinctive.

Jan's apartment is an A.  And they get each other's mail all the time.  Does Jan have the emerald ring?  Or did she before she was murdered?

That’s a solid idea. So whomever killed Jan now has the green ring.

  13. Nice one! Loved the Super Fans and that all the residents and staff were listening to the show now. I couldn't believe The Team went full-in on Teddy and Theo as Tim's murderers, though. (It might've been that I was expecting a twist rather than believing their theory was incorrect. The Detective supported it after all.)

No way was Jan simply an innocent victim, so why was she so adamant they look at the Cat Guy, and was that why she was targeted? ETA: Who knew she was pushing the Cat suspect? Remember when Mabel could hear Bunny through the heating vent in her bathroom -- something similar here or was her proximity to Charles enough and this was to warn them off?

I didn't like that suddenly there's video footage. Where else are there cameras? And all that build-up to The Cutter and the meeting at Tavo's shop and it resolves with Oscar interjecting that he'd met The Cutter and Tim had gotten the green ring. Was Oscar going to share that if the conversation hadn't circled around to the ring? That update deserved a special meeting as it answered "Why Now?" The phone contents did, too.

RIP Jan. We'll always remember the Scrabble Sexting.

Damm, I missed it. Not even sure which couple to look for.

It was the “When Harry Met Sally” couple who described how they met when he snuck into the match and sat in her family’s section. They’re suing the people who wrote “Titanic” for stealing their story.

  15. I'm curious how Jurgen and Giuseppe will handle the savory bakes.

ETA: I think Amanda, Lizzie, and Maggie will be the next off barring disaster(s).

Amanda and Lizzie are hot messes, and I wonder how they even qualified to get on the show. Frankly, they annoy me because I feel they're wasting time and prolonging the final 2 weeks.

I'd bet Maggie's an excellent home baker, but I don't think she has the creativity or experience with unusual flavors to compete at this level.

  16. I would’ve thought Trent was informed enough to not write a tabloid hit piece about the panic attacks but turn it into a discussion about mental health that supported Ted and others who suffer from panic disorders. I understand why he felt he had to pursue the story, but way to shame, Trent Crimm, The Independent.

I’m not a fan of what the writers have done to Nate this season. Are they trying to force Ted to drop the façade, put on his big boy Underoos, and fire Nate?

Oi. I think Roy and Keely realized their relationship is in trouble, and it’s not because of Nate, the teacher, or Jamie.

I really love when Riggle brings out his Marine-isms like NAFOD (no appropriate fear of death). He has layers! But buffoon Riggle always makes me laugh.

I looked that up when he said it. I’d never thought something like that would ever happen, but it rang true. Turns out, it is! I guess it’s dangerous for the other troops if someone isn’t worried about getting killed. Makes sense, but man.
