Ari’s dress was awful as was her hair.  Both looked like they were from the 80’s.  Her hair was a mess.   Not sure how her parents can be happy about this but I guess they just want to pass her off to someone by now.

Her parents probably would love to pass her off to someone but in this case instead of her parents just supporting Ari, they are also supporting Bini and Avi at least for now. If Ari was marrying a traditionally successful person who made a decent, steady salary, maybe her parents could start to untangle themselves from her.

But Ari can't pull that kind of partner -- she doesn't have the brains, personality, or looks. Plus, can't you just imagine how, if Ari was married to someone who had a FT job, that she would just bitch about him not being around enough, not paying enough attention to her or helping with Avi? She's way too jealous of everything. If such a dude was her husband and he was on Zoom calls, Ari would be poking her face onto the camera trying to check out who he was talking to.

On an adjacent topic, I've never understood how so many of the 90 D'ers (Ari, Jibri, etc.) will not work because they are "trying to focus on work on their relationship." I'm sorry, but most people recognize that in order to have a roof over their heads and eat, they need a job. Working on the relationship can come after 5 pm. Drives me bananas.

Maybe so? I know I hate the little prick! He was on WWHL last week and it didn't change my opinion.

I saw him on WWHL last week too, and he was a jerk, IMHO. So cocky.

Did you see WWHL last night with Tumi & Mzi? Tumi confirms what we think about Ryan.

  3. I don't even watch this show but come here to occasionally read the Whitney hate. I've been watching my other TLC show (90D Fiance) and Whit's previews are driving me crazy! I feel bad that her mom had a stroke, but the dramatics when she's in the car saying "I just want my mom to know I love her" (something like that) is so OTT and I don't know, I don't see any tears. I think Whitney is a terrible person all around. I'm surprised I haven't hate watched her for years but I can't seem to bring myself to do it.

Not one of these weddings look like they were given more than 20 minutes thought, thrown together, low attendance, etc...more depressing than just going to the courthouse and a nice restaurant for dinner.

^^^ This. These 2 weddings looked pathetic. And why waste money on a "castle" when there's a few people there. If I ever get married, I can see myself wearing a nice outfit (think, maybe retro style dress) with a small bouquet at the courthouse, followed by a gathering of like 20 people MAX at a restaurant to celebrate.

Listening to Yve, who, granted is a few years younger than me, babble on about her dream wedding just screams immaturity and fantasy.

Theran looked nice in prior to the wedding with his suit on but I noticed he opted for a tee and suit pants. I did like how he was a prominent part of the ceremony. PS: Yve's friends are scary looking.

  5. I just watched Ari and Bini get married. Holy hell, it’s been quite some time since I’ve seen such an unfortunate looking bride. The 80’s is my fav decade but Ari seemed to have picked the tackiest 80’s throwback dress, with that ridiculous headband thing. She may as well have worn that spastastic headgear that Laura wore when she married Luke in General Hospital.
And Ari’s sneakers (or whatever those things were she was wearing)-just awful.
She looks like a grimacing rat. Ari’s makeup was tacky too. I guess she doesn’t have any friends who could help her out? Nope, had to be meddling Janice to help her.  What a shocker.
Yes, I’m hate watching this show now.

Axe to investors: Isn't it great they brought Cats back?

(right before Ben Kim gets into the elevator)

As if Axe gives a shit about Cats on Broadway

  7. If I have to hear Benny talk about his dead parents (it can't be an excuse for your poor behavior forever, dude) or Jamie talking about how he used to be a police officer (go back to it, would you?) I am going to drink boatloads (🤣) of alcohol. Also infuriating is Ryan's piss poor attitude and is insistence on doing the minimal amount of work to get by (because, of course, his dad worked hard and died, so Ryan thinks that he shouldn't work hard ever?)

Aesha is also starting to bother me -- she's good at her job and peppy/nappy, but the way she elongates her words slowly makes my ears bleed. "Ooooh my gaaaaawd, that's amaaaaaaaaaazing!"

Kinda hate watching both Down Under and Med at this point. Maybe we should put Ryan, Benny, Jamie, and Raygan onto a yacht with Captain Lee. Let's see how that goes.

She's unethical, inept and ineffective, I'll be looking forward to her inevitable demise.

Maybe J could take the shady cold case cop out for a boat ride...

Well it wasn’t an AirBnB this week lol.  Maybe there aren’t many in Alton.

Similar to the figurines of animals on the shelves inside the house, there seemed to be a bunch of animal lawn ornaments on the front lawn, but they only showed from behind and it was really quick. I hoped to get a good look but we didn't get to see one.

    Very cute dog!

Gotta love how Bilal is looking at an impending marriage solely as a business transaction: "Well, if I put in some seed money to start your Yoga business and we get divorced, my amortized return isn't going to be what I'd like." I guess he doesn't subscribe to the notion that you'd help you spouse out because you love them and want them to succeed?

Bilal likes conversating about the prenup he brung to the relationship.

Meanwhile Ari looks a HOT MESS and I could not believe how wrecked she looked during the NYC visit. You have a nanny and are on GLOBAL television! There is no excuse!

The nanny did her hair before the flight so I'm sure Ari is holding onto that hot braided mess (meaning she flew for hours, slept in the braids at least overnight, etc.) for as long as she can because Ari is a useless baby and can't do anything for herself. Or her family for that matter. Ari can't do her hair, can't pay her bills, can't hold or care for her son, can't use birth control. The list goes on and on.

  12. I wasn't blown away by this episode. I liked the prior one a lot more. I'm probably not saying anything that already hasn't been said, but there were too many flashbacks for my liking in the series finale. I wanted to learn more about their future selves (except Randall being president, of course), more like Six Feet Under where there was a montage of how everyone's life panned out. But, different shows so....

I didn't like how the very last scene was Randall and Jack. The screen went black and I was like "that was the last shot?"

I guffawed out loud at Nicky & Kevin's conversation. Nothing like Uncle Nicky jokingly calling Kev a dick at his mom's funeral. Humor has gotten me through A LOT so I appreciated that scene, along with Beth's "worst case scenario" speech. Going to PR to swim with Miguel's grandmother in the ocean also made me LOL.

While my mom is still alive, my brother (my only sibling) passed away 6 months ago. I remember saying out loud to my friends that I was now an only child. Even though I'm in my 50's, that was a gut punch.

Goodbye show, you had your ups and downs, I enjoyed the ride.

Please forgive me for prying and if you think I am being too personal, tell me and I will stop immediately. But I would like to know if a young lady feels pressured or intimidated by an older man or would a lesser word be "influenced"? I am trying to figure out what Benson's description is for "rape". Over the last 10 years her minimum definition of rape or sexual assault seems to be if a guy stares a little too long at a girl, he's in a lot of trouble. I just wonder what a young girl's thoughts are concerning (Aiden Quinn) Burton 's actions? Is he as guilty as Benson thinks he is or what? Please be reminded you don't have to tell us a thing and you can tell me to "Take a Flying Leap".

I’m in my 50’s now, so it was a very long time ago! At that time, I didn’t feel any pressure. When he “tried” some things and I said “not yet” and moved his hand away (sometimes more than once) I myself didn’t feel pressured or violated. I can see St. Olivia viewing that as sexual assault, and I would not agree with that assessment (either at that time or looking back on it now).

  14. I agree with everyone here: COTW was really good and having Carisi front and center really drew me in. When Fin and Velasco were talking to the prior rape victim and she said “but he’s a priest” I groaned and said “he’s a human being.” I have little tolerance for this thinking, we all know that people in religion, law enforcement, government are all human beings.

St. Olivia’s storyline took away from the case and slowed the show. I love Aiden Quinn but not in this character. And, I went on a few dates as a 17 year old with a 24 year old guy. Different times back then.
