  1. I dont think a dig which involves oral sex is homophobic.

that said, i would have used a cleaner version like "the only thing your mouth is good for is kissing putin's ass...." but who knows? people would have gotten upset about that too, i bet

That said, the president was a jerk to the journalist. i mean, he is a jerk to everyone that does not worship the ground he walks on. he has gotten away with bragging about sexual assault, but oh noooo, stephen basically calls him out for being in bed with Putin and everyone can't handle that.

we want our president to keep treating people like jerks and getting away with it? nobody should challenge him?

I dont get the outrage. it's baffling to me.

Mika said, “I have some reporting that the president actually knows he messed up and won't admit it”.  So maybe there's a scintilla of hope that sometimes Trump can admit he's made a mistake?

I have a feeling those around him (not bannon) are the ones who have to tell him he is going too far. sad thing is, it is done. that is the issue that freaks me out. as president, you cant just be like "did i say that? oops. my bad"

Friday Recap. Mika is off. Joe wasted 2 minutes talking about Glenn Thrush & his twitter feed. Joe is upset that a reporter makes sarcastic comments on his twitter feed. Posh Katty was on the set. The panel spent 10 minutes talking about a CNN investigation about the White House asking the FBI for help in making the Russian -Trump connection go away. The FBI said no. Joe started mentioning all the insiders he knows at the FBI.

Joe started bragging about his time in Congress. Joe fought against the National Debt at 4 trillion. It is now 20 trillion. Joe said everyone agreed with him that the debt was too high.

They talked about Stephen Bannon. He has an economic nationalist message.

Joe said he didn't like bailing out Golodman Sachs investment in Mexico.

Bannon wants to blow up the bureaucracy.

Joe said there are checks & balances on the executive

    your recaps crack me up.

wow, joe has so many freaking connections. within the WH, the FBI, congress.......

    hollywood is next ;-)

Mika put her hands on Joe to calm him down. Joe said he wanted to shout at Donny to make a point. Donnie told him to stop shouting at him.

Mika is trying to calm down Donnie. Joe told Donnie that he doesn't need to come on the show again!

Joe attacked Donnie and told him to stop playing TV & then agreeing with him after the show.

LMAO wtf. this is so bizarre.

  7. watched Joe on Colbert. he made me roll my eyes when he was like "oh, i was rooting for him. we should all be cheering on our president, yadda yadda"

to which Stephen was like "even after all the horrible stuff he has said and the lies, etc? come on Joe..."

Just kidding. I wish Stephen had called him out on the hypocrisy, but he is a better host than I am.  ;-)

  8. I'm kind of laughing at this whole situation. I wonder what things are like behind the scenes on this show

joe: Why won't he come on our show?!!

Producer: he said we are fake news, Joe.

Joe: Dammit!! I defended him 7 ways to sunday and this is the thanks i get?

Mika: Well, maybe we should teach him a lesson

    Joe: How?

    Mika: Let's ban Kellyanne.

    Joe: ok. that's a start...

Before you laud Joe and Mika for acting sane for one morning, please imagine the neck-vein, blood-from-the-eyes outrage directed towards Obama himself if his lieutenants stepped out of line.  In that scenario, it wouldn't be the lieutenants who are rogue, it'd be Obama's fault that he cannot lead and is not in control.  Not so with Trump, eh?
Huma Abedin used her fucking computer to write emails, and THAT was proof enough that Hillary Clinton is disqualified for being President, and it  also fueled a week's worth of sanctimonious, screaming outrage from Joe.

They'll need to cobble together about 5 years' worth of consistent sanity before they get the benefit of the doubt from me.

were joe and Mika upset over rich civilians taking selfies and photos of the North Korea chaos that happened while Trump was at Mar-a-lago?

but wait. those weren't emails. just national security. duh

Mika & Joe's outrage at KAC would be a lot more credible if they were tough on Trump from Day 1. I believe that they are still on good terms with Jared & Ivanka. If you watch the show closely, they are always saying that he is the grown up in the White House.

I thought Ivanka/Jared were suppose to be the rational voices or something within the administration. So far, have we seen any rationality? Bizarre

Anyway, you are right in terms of Joe/Mika being more credible about the outrage if they were tougher on Trump from day 1. As I said in another post, it's a weird bipolar effect within the media. CNN is the same way. they get upset with certain guests (kellyanne being an example) but then later will kiss her butt and have her back on. Where she will then lie again. it's a cycle that never seems to end. bah

  11. uhhhhhh. Once again, the outrage.

Mika and Joe seem to be fed up with Kellyanne's lies and her spouting whatever bull comes to her head on TV shows

    NOW they're upset??

I gotta defend Kellyanne (UGH) but at the end of the day, her boss is Donald Trump. He must be okay with what she is doing, otherwise she would probably be gone by now. I don't like her either, but if Joe and Mika want to get upset, get upset with Trump. He hired her and it's truly his call that is behind everything that is happening.

Same thing with Stephen Miller. Someone has to be saying "sure, go ahead and say this..." and then they have to be okay with it afterwards.

who is that person? Donald Trump. So if they want to be upset, they need to direct that towards their buddy, our President....

Now, excuse me while I go curse really loudly for having to defend these jokers....

My wife watched a clip of MJ at some point this morning and told me about Joe going crazy against the Trump White House and Miller... and I told her that it's only because it's personal to him.  Miller is probably preventing Joe from having access, and preventing Joe's opinion from being considered, and so Joe's outraged.
Otherwise, I can't see why he's put out by Miller's rhetoric, because he supports Trump saying the exact same things.  The outrage rings false because it is.

I dont know how anyone can prevent access to Trump. we see if you have the money, you're in. If you speak highly of him, you're in.

Trump is bringing out this weird bipolar effect out in everyone. kind of fascinating to see. wow

  13. I gotta give Mika some credit. Just watched the stephen miller bit.....she kept repeating "people love this. people wanted this..." about the new administration coming in and not caring about the rules.

I don't understand Joe's freaking out. he didn't see this coming? I think many of us saw this weird 'It's my way or the highway' mentality from day 1.

The outrage rings false to me. I don't get some of these media personalities. one minute, they're outraged and shocked and the next, they seem to be ok with certain policies

    just....whatever. *sigh*

  14. I honestly don't understand why the thing with Mika is something that would scare Joe and Mika

    they had an affair. fine

it's 2017. Are affairs even that scandalous anymore? they make the news, but I don't think they can end careers like they use to.

So now Hannity is having a little twitter war with Scarborough.  It's so odd that Scarborough and Mika are calling for Miller's job.

Hannity wrote something like, "should I tell people who you really are?" to Scarborough.

    ok sean. spill.

if it's about his thing with Mika, I think everyone knows that. It's an open secret, yes??

Way to make me feel old, Lana X.  But seriously, you're better off that you don't know.  A vile rumor that has no business being referenced anywhere but especially not a part of such an intelligent, vital, NECESSARY show.

haha i just assumed it was sexual in which case i thought "ok, we all have our sexual secrets. unless......it involves animals/children in some way in which case...BLECH..."

i still think overall, it was a well done segment. :-)

  17. If President Trump is looking for a celebrity to host the White House Correspondents Dinner, Stephen Colbert is available......

HMMMMM. No. If Trump had a good sense of humor and wasn't racist, sexist, etc....then I would be down for this.

Stephen or not, I dont think this event should even be held this year. Trump would probably threaten to ruin the host's career, then tweet about the fake news, blah blah. He's just everything that previous presidents are not. not sure why anyone would want to be a part of this.

I take it back. you could invite Sean Hannity as a host and have fox news there. ;-)

Well, if you saw the piece, the problem is, "fake news" is a very sloppy label. There is complete fabrication (Bowling Green massacre) and there is misreporting (error in reporting the removal the bust of Martin Luther King). These are all being lumped into "fake news." Willie the voice of reason pointed out the importance for journalists to be careful in this day in age because Trump will lump any reporting error as "fake news." And Halperin correctly pointed out out that the Clintons would seize upon an innoceng reporting error to whine about unfair coverage. Trump just takes this to an extreme degree.

I watched the segment and I feel like joe and crew were missing the bigger point. no matter what the news says about donald, he is going to say it's fake. to me, the conversation is pointless. everything negative is fake in DT's view. period.
