My biggest complaint is the lack of familiar minor characters. Like, I would've liked to see Cassie's mom and stepdad, more than a cameo of Agent Woo, maybe a nice Luis recap. I loved seeing William Jackson Harper as someone besides Chidi. I thought the performances were great. Not really familiar with Jonathan Majors' prior work, but I thought he was good here. I got so excited to see Ryan Bergara had a cameo paying for Scott and Woo's lunch.
"It's never too late to stop being a dick" is a good moral of the story and very fitting.

It took me far too long to realize the February 1 date wasn’t just the season premiere being theoretically pushed back a week, but was the day before Groundhog Day. I also spent too much time trying to remember if this was the first time we had seen Iris sleeping in a bonnet, which was not helped by the repeated waking up scenes. Thanks for all the shirtless Barry scenes. It was interesting seeing a pair trapped in a time loop instead of just one person. It helped mix things up a little. Iris had a point in just taking a day off to drink wine and not letting a scrapbook define her future. I’m glad they got to take a few hours off to sip drinks poolside, and I appreciated that they had to solve things by standing united. I like the new Captain Boomerang thus far. Was not expecting Blue Streaks Caitlin at all, but I was totally expecting Zombie Frost, so definitely better. Not happy to see Chilblaine in the opening credits. Nice to hear from Cat and Kara. I feel like a missing persons report should be filed for Jemma West.

I did not like the fact that they killed off Derek and brought back Allison. I'd have been lest bothered by killing Derek if they hadn't brought back Allison honestly, but either way it still could've been done better. I liked Eli, Derek's son, but I'm so curious who his mother is. Didn't like that they said "Eli would be the first Hale to not be able to transform" when they've stated before that some Hales remain human. I liked bringing Harris back as the main villain, after 3 times where they made us think he could be, but how did he come back to life? Colton Haynes was playing Colton Haynes, not Jackson. We should've gotten some interaction between Liam and Scott or even Liam and Mason. Christ Argent calling people "fucker" seemed absolutely correct, but some of the other cussing felt out of character for the moment. Like Malia saying "Fuck me, man" as response to getting her ass kicked by Allison. The Scott and Allison relationship felt most consistent. Tyler's dimples when he said "I'm still in love with you" still have power over me. Glad Mama McCall became a doctor. They have to pay well after all the murdered doctors in Beacon Hills. I thought Lydia's reasoning for breaking up with Stiles was realistic. The Nogitsune/Harris not dragging Stiles back into town for this felt unrealistic. I want confirmation Scott is a vet. Running an animal shelter feels like it could go either way.

Kevin not wanting to go back in time with her but still wanting to stay in the present to be there for her seemed completely fair. He's come too far to completely back out, but yeah I get that he's totally uncomfortable back there. Interesting that they established this traveling seems to be happening over three generations. I'd love to see the grandma too. Sad that her aunt is trying to have her committed. I mean, I know she has every reason to believe that Dana's insane, but I kinda think she wants Dana's money too.

Thanks for this info. When I saw the trailers, I assumed he was her husband. Him being her husband would make sense, but the whole "I just met this person and now I'm dragged into this insane adventure" is such a frequent trope in fiction that that also makes sense for an adaptation, even if it is an unnecessary change.

That opening was so weird and fast that it made sense it was all a month in the blink of an eye. Ryan's death was so sad. Two characters in 2022 breaking my heart with "I can't feel anything. I'm scared. I'm not ready to go." Nancy's "I see someone capable of taking a life" had me thinking this is something she should discuss with Nick instead.
When they started going through the prophecies I totally had forgotten one of them was "one of you will lose your heart." Good thing or I might've been more worried about Ace last ep.
This episode felt like kind of a let down. Like it all kind of built to nothing.

I can't believe that George didn't tell her sisters she broke up with Nick. I mean, I can, because it's messed up and so is George. I appreciated that she was keeping it from them because she and Nick are the first healthy relationship they've seen, but it's important for them to know a relationship can be healthy but still end. It was nice to see Ryan and George talking and encouraging her to tell the truth. He's improved so much since season 1. I like how Jesse took the breakup news well and understood.
Yes, Nancy, you really shouldn't have trusted the 200-year-old blood-thieving witch.
I was so worried for Darlene. I'm glad Park said she'd be okay. Poor Lev. I liked him. Well, I don't believe for a second they'd kill off Ace, so at least that won't stress me out.

I like the continuity of George finding the jury duty notice when Nick disappeared and speculating that was a something he was avoiding, then showing him with jury duty a few episodes later. Nick was super awkward looking for info at jury duty, but I was amused at the other juror being interested in his supposed pick-up lines. Nice use of the secret passageway in the hotel, especially Bess as Amanda informing the officer "you know this place is haunted, right?" presumably to prevent them from checking on mysterious noises they might hear.
I love Ryan kindly interrupting Nancy/Ace moments 2 eps in a row.
Aw, I like our new semi-possessed guy. Hope he doesn't die.

I loved how Ace was staring at Nancy trying to have a moment, but got interrupted because Ryan was practically tackle-hugging him from behind. I admit, I thought what would let them on to Ace not being around would be Ryan's chores not being completed.
Temperance hexed Nick's kids?! That's just mean.

The nostalgia that hit when Scott Wolf put on the letterman jacket and Riley Smith started talking about dirt bikes...thanks for that, show.
I loved seeing the girls hug at the end. Felt more like a book version of the characters for once.
Nick, if you chose to go on a walkabout without telling your fiancée and coworkers/partners in crime-fighting when you know supernatural entities are all over the damn place, I am going to be pissed, so you better be in mortal peril.

Ooh, I like how they tied in her daddy issues to her relationship with Ryan. I really thought that Osric Chau was going to be another long lost brother. Yes, he's old enough to be George's teenage father, but that sounds so wrong when he's a year older than Alex Saxon. Nick, she told you immediately after meeting her father. It's not exactly keeping a secret.
Ryan passing off his chores to Ace - hee hee. Yeah, him being responsible with that seemed a little weird. But he's getting his chores done, so who cares?
Damn, Ace's dad! Kicking him out for not keeping your love child a secret!?! That was so cold. And yet, he's still the number 3 best dad in Horseshoe Bay. But he's behind Ryan and that should fill him with shame.

I think last episode she referred to someone as being "a year behind me and George." And someone else graduating with Ace. So, they graduated together and Ace is probably a year or two older?

It really is amazing how they've made that happen. Like he went from spoiled rich guy dating teenagers who seems like a murderer to dependable dad with good rapport with kids. I've been watching Riley Smith in stuff for 20 years and this is the best character he's ever had.

This was a good one. I like how each Fan girl is getting focus in these episodes. I loved the Fan fans plot. I had no idea who it was but the reveal made perfect sense, minus the fact that it seems the Nancy Drew fan groups would get into some kind of fan war with her portrayal as a plucky sidekick. I liked how excited Nick was by this whole concept. I love Bess's protectiveness of Ace. I think it's going to go horribly wrong, but I appreciate it. And I'd like ghosts to stop possessing Ace. I know George has had it worse in this regard, but the actor got way better material out of it, so it feels like a better trade. The reveal about Joe Kesler made sense. I feel like the coffee girl is going to turn out to be evil, and I thought it was ridiculous for Bess to just tell her all about the supernatural stuff she did today.

Ok, Nancy you don't have to flirt with every new detective who comes to town. But when he pulled that trick using the table to protect them, I was kind of like "Okay, go for it."
Nancy saying "Goodnight, Dads" was adorable. I really do like the dynamic between the three of them. Really Ryan has rolled with the punches on this whole young adult daughter/coparenting scenario so much better than most would have and certainly better than I expected of him during season 1. And I'm happy for Riley Smith getting the chance to play a more nuanced character.

I love Nick's reply to George's proposal. It was very in-character, the right amount of sentimental, and I liked how they even got Victoria involved.
Nancy's Two Dads is the heartwarming family sitcom of the year. I really enjoyed how they were on either side with a baseball bat to answer the door. And I'm glad she's not hiding the witchy shenanigans from them.
The townspeople just turning and asking "What does Nancy have to say?" was kind of weirdly funny, but it was nice to see her get that police liaison job. I did like her "I'll grow where I've been planted" line.
Poor kitty cat.

Quinta looked fantastic in that dress and the straight hair. Her hair always looks great, but the change was fun. When Gregory and Janine were dancing after they'd stopped doing middle school dance moves and were dancing like 2 adults in a club, I was struck by how unawkward it seemed.
I loved Janine's present to Mr. Johnson, especially because he appreciated it. I was glad when Ava invited Janine to keep partying with her and her boyfriend. It was nice, but also had that edge of Ava evaluating people and deciding they're good enough to be seen with her, plus her desire for people to not waste an outfit.

I didn't know until a few days ago the second season was out. Joe's still my favorite. I missed his scenes with Biff this year. I felt like we didn't get as many Frank and Joe scenes, which sucks because I never like Frank more than when he's in protective brother mode. Wouldn't have noticed the Dad and Jessie switch if I hadn't read it. I liked the way they did the Eye giving clues without direct answers. It didn't feel too contrived. Belinda and Lucy meshed well with the team. Saving Frank from great-grandpa will be a good season mystery once they catch on, which better happen soon or they'll all look like idiots.

I saw the episode writer was Ava Coleman. I liked Janet the counselor and her refusal of the carrot cookies because it's late morning and the container's still full. My favorite part of the Melissa crazy over firefighting was her initial denial when the accusations flew because it was such a contrast to her usual "it fell off a truck" type of joke, which then matched up with her one uncle the firefighter and the other setting fires.
