  1. I do like how Scott and Kira are slowly developing, and how Scott seemed to forget they weren't dating when he gave her the chaste kiss. They're really cute together. I also think they did some good stuff with the Scott/Allison relationship in seasons one and two, but I feel the shows real power comes from those friendships and familial relationships. Scott and Stiles' brotherly dynamic is one of the best friendships on television right now. It's also refreshing to see parents on a supernatural show who actually know what's happening and are still trying to shield their kids from whatever violence they can.

I also like how even minor, comedic, or evil characters get to show how much they care for others. Lydia's mom has had only a few scenes on the show, but they have a great moment getting ready for school after Lydia was almost strangled. She was clearly proud of her daughter's strength. Kate is a crazy, murderous bitch, but she genuinely loved Allison and spent the last moment before her "death" trying make sure Allison would live. Coach is 98% comic relief, but he was visibly upset after Stiles went missing and Jackson was "dead," and went on to say he cared about his players. With one scene, they've established a good relationship with Liam and his stepfather.

  2. I like how the drama separated into the original families for the duration of the episode. I'm always happy to see Lucas Grabeel on Switched at Birth. I figured it would be Angelo at the end, and figured the gun was probably a fakeout since that would require legal ramifications, although I did briefly wonder if he would heroically push Daphne out of the way of the gun. I do like when Angelo gets protective of Daphne. I do think it's interesting that we only see that physical protectiveness in his relationship with Daphne, even though he's much closer to Bay. I think he still sees that three year old girl he left when Daphne is in danger, especially given that those are the only times I can remember him calling her his daughter.

My favorite line of the night was after Kathryn sold the lie about them being deaf artists from Iceland. "Twins?" "Deaf?" I think I'd watch a whole show based on Kennish family hijinks.

  3. That was good. I like the reason Scott had to bite someone, not only would he have fallen otherwise, but the bite meant he'd live even if he had fallen. I remember hearing he would be getting a beta this season, but I'd completely forgotten that until the kid was injured and about to get eaten. I was expecting the orphaned kid to be an ally instead of a villain, so nice surprise there. Overall the episode had a nice season 1 vibe. A lot of humor, Coach Finstock, Malia knowing how to bet, Scott and Kira's "chaste kiss." Plus actual playing of lacrosse!

I am convinced they will try to pair Lydia with Deputy Parrish. I don't know how I'll feel about that. I also think Derek and Braeden is going to happen.

  4. From 2x04:

Felicity: Do you have any happy stories?

    2x08:

Felicity: Why couldn't you have been marooned on Aruba?

    From 2x19:

Felicity (on Isabel): For the record, I hated her before we found out she was a supervillain.

  5. Ditto. When it happened, I said "oh my God, did they kill Feeney???"  I'll hate it if he's dead.

I think the final scene was intentionally left ambiguous. William Daniels is 87 years old, so there's a very good chance his health may decline before he has another chance to appear. By doing it that way, they can have either Cory imagining Mr. Feeny because he was his mentor and it helps Cory (à la Eric when he went to college) if he's able to appear again or they choose to reference him as alive, or he was a ghost visiting (à la Chet visiting Shawn) if he doesn't.

  6. Ooh, I like this.

    1. "Pilot", obviously. It's awesome.

    2. "Weapons of Class Destruction." I'm a sucker for the kiss and protective Logan, love the main plot, love the Duncan/Veronica fight, and it has Jonathan Taylor Thomas, which my inner child demands. "Momentary Thing" is just beautiful, which I never would have known if not for this episode. Oh, and Norris!

    3. "Leave It To Beaver." I like the conclusions to the mysteries. The goodbye to Lilly is a beautiful scene, Logan just breaks my heart throughout the episode, the awesome use of "Bad Boyfriend." And this episode is the reason I remember to check my backseat in case Harry Hamlin's hiding back there. Don't judge me!

    4. "Not Pictured."  - "You're not a killer, Veronica." The roof scene is my favorite in the entire series.

    5. "Spit and Eggs"  I love the use of "Right Here, Right Now." Veronica stabs a rapist with a unicorn. Parker gets her moment of heroism and justice by yelling "Rape!" at Mercer and saving Veronica. Logan gets to beat the crap out of Mercer and Moe (offscreen). I also love how Veronica snarks on how people won't come running at the rape whistle, but then not only does Parker come, but about a dozen guys come out into the hallway when she screams too.

  7. I was with Stiles in being greatly amused that this was just a straight up money heist. I figured the Hales were rich, but I had them pegged for more like $5 - 10 million.  I'm guessing Kate was lied to also, because otherwise her triskelion trick is not the best lie she could have told Derek.

I'm trying to figure out the color of Derek's eyes. Is them turning yellow supposed to signal some kind of redemption? Or is he going to be some kind of special wanted creature because his eyes have gone yellow-blue-red-blue-yellow?

I loved Derek running away from Kate when he realized Scott was there. For all Derek's flaws, he never leaves a member of his pack in danger.

I loved Scott's little moment of turning the clock away as he lied to his dad that it was midnight instead of 4 a.m.

Sheriff Stilinski continues to be awesome, though I was disappointed he fell for "camping trip." His time travel line was great. It's my official headcanon that while a Teen Wolf remake is happening in Beacon Hills, a Back to the Future remake is happening in Hill Valley since they've established that as the next town over.

Bearer bonds =/= US Treasury Bonds. Bearer bonds can be issued by any company, corporation, or government entity, and are payable at face value when presented, which makes them easily storable and cashable. Keeping the entire Hale family fortune in one place? Not so smart!

I just read up on bearer bonds. Apparently they're nearly impossible to recover when stolen because there are no records of the purchase. Good when you need to quickly escape town and leave no trail behind for hunters. Bad way to store money any other time.

  8. That friendship has developed so nicely from where they were in S1 up to now.

I like the idea of Stiles and Lydia as a couple. but their friendship alone is still beautiful. They save each other's lives, respect each others intelligence and help each other through mental breakdowns. There's a scene in season three that I love, where Lydia is researching with Stiles and she's just casually laying across his bed with her shoes off like it's no big deal. They're just comfortable together now.

Lydia has proven herself to be such a good person as she's grown closer to Stiles and Scott. Compare the shallow girl who was afraid to show her intelligence and talent in season 1 with the girl who jumps through fire to save her friends. She's become every bit as heroic as Scott is.

I think before Allison came along, Lydia must have been pretty lonely. Despite her alleged popularity, she hasn't been shown to have any friends outside of Scott's pack.

  9. I love Lois and Clark's first two episodes. They planted some good seeds for my favorite couple ever. I love Lana's wardrobe this season. Kristin Kreuk must have been so happy to be rid of all the pink. Chloe learning Clark's secret was such a huge step forward for their relationship. It made the terrible handling of the Alicia episodes worth it.

I do think this is the season where the show started going downhill plotwise. The fifth season is slightly better and the show always had good episodes and bad episodes, but this season had me feeling that the show was losing its magic (pun not intended). I will also always remember that this is the season where Jane Seymour misuses the word "ancestor" thus driving me completely insane. Did no one on set have a dictionary?

  10. I like Lana a lot more in season 1 and 4 than I do in season 2. What I do like about season 2 is the friendship that develops between Chloe and Lana. Season 2 actually has a lot of my favorite moments and episodes. The Jonathan Taylor Thomas episode, Pete finding out about Clark, "Fever," the one where Chloe and Clark keep making out, Christopher Reeve, the multiple appearances of Red K Clark, blind Lionel Luthor shenanigans, and that one line where Lionel tells Jonathan a diamond watch from him is the equivalent of a Whitman's Sampler from Jonathan.

  11. What's funny about the "magical lip reading" is that both Daphne and Emmett have brought up how difficult it is for them to follow along when lip reading, but even so they continue to have no trouble unless they want to make it a plot point - i.e, Daphne asking Angelo to learn ASL,

  12. It's available on the Watch Disney website. Definitely has things more settled than the pilot, and nicely establishes the family dynamics as well as core friendships between the four kids. Unlike Minkus, the girls are clearly shown to be friends with Farkle, who is called the "biggest flirt in seventh grade" And Topanga's officially a lawyer! Growing up is the theme of the episode, with all the kids eventually realizing they don't want to grow up too fast, which also is the theme of Boy Meets World's second episode, which I thought was a nice subtle nod to the previous series.

  13. I'm hoping the presence of teen Derek means we can get more insight into the Hale family. I swear I would watch a Teen Wolf prequel series about that family.

One thing Mama Calaveras said had me thinking - if they say they'll kill Scott if he turns an innocent, should they kill Derek? Or does that only refer to turning someone without permission? Because they look like they're just bluffing at this point. Derek's alive, Peter's alive. It's not making them look so badass.

My favorite part of the episode though was Scott picking up one of the hunters' walkie-talkies and telling Stiles to take back $10,000.

  14. I felt we needed a place to discuss Feeny's words of wisdom, Eric's crazy statements, and Cory and Topanga's declarations of love. Here's some random ones to get us started:

Ghost Chet: I got two stupid boys! Y'all embarrass me in front of my dead friends!

Cory: I believe in love like I believe in God. You can't see it. You can't touch it, but you know it's there because you can feel its wrath.
Shawn: And goodness. You can feel love's goodness.
    Cory: I wouldn't know.

Morgan: [singing Corinna's song about Eric] He's a loser freak, loser freak. He's a maladjusted loser freak. He's a woman-hating, maladjusted loser freak!...And he doesn't like girls 'cause he's afraid of them, afraid of them! I think he likes boys if you know what I'm saying.

    Mr. Feeny: Do good.
Topanga: Don't you mean 'do well'?
    Mr. Feeny: No.

  15. When Matthew showed his phone to Emmett, I automatically thought he had come back and recorded Emmett and Bay having sex. It would have made Emmett seem less idiotic and added a "protecting Bay" quality to the lie that would have made me go along with it more.

Melody was definitely stupid in the scene with Matthew, but Marlee Matlin played it great. I understand why she has an Oscar now (and am off to Netflix to check out that film). Whoever plays Matthew has really grown into the role of smarmy bastard.

So John found out because Bay typed "Where in Mission Hills can I buy the morning after pill?" Does that not seem like the most unlikely of searches Bay would use for that topic?

Ok, before I came on here and realized just how stupid everyone had been, I was thinking how much I was loving the relationships. Great familial relationships by the usual players, awesome Daphne/Bay bonding, Daphne opening up to Angelo and him genuinely feeling bad about not signing well (although she told him she couldn't understand him the first time they met), John and Kathryn being completely on Regina's side, Emmett/Bay have won be back over, Emmett and Melody were great. The relationships are what keep me coming back to the show. That and learning new signs. Now I know the sign for "flirt!"

I really hope they get Wilke back. He is the only person who could make Daphne happy again.

Carrie Diaries was canceled! Please bring Austin Butler back! They can reunite Guitar Face!

  16. When did Mike get hot? How old is that actor? Should I feel like Ezra?

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this during the episode. No info on IMDB, but I'm assuming he's way too young for me to be looking at...but Sean Faris is still looking quite nice and seems to be continuing his streak as the only good cop in Rosewood.

Pepe has to be bugged. The animal rescue chick is A!

I don't necesssarily need a meeting of the PLL's boyfriends club, but Caleb still isn't back? I just want an explanation about where he's been since Ravenswood ended. Hanging out with his dad? Taking a bus tour of Pennsylvania? Talking to more dead people?

I've watched all of PLL in the last four months because I liked Caleb on Ravenswood and wanted to see more of him. Wait, does he think Ali's still dead? They found her alive in the ep where he left for Ravenswood, right? Because I'd be greatly amused by a scene of him thinking he's talking to another ghost when he meets her.

  17. Somehow he became the creepy boring antithesis of that. From Augustus Waters early on to Edward Cullen later.

Oh, this made me laugh so hard. Especially since a friend and I described the first meeting staredown from The Fault in Our Stars as being like a non-creepy version of Edward Cullen. And yet, Dean predates both of them.

And because I feel I should post opinions every time I visit this thread:

Whenever Dean and Jess actually fight, I'm on Dean's side. Whenever they almost fight, I'm always on Jess's.

This is probably a popular opinion, but I'm always shocked at how much of the cast I prefer in other roles. Couldn't stand April, love Vanessa Marano on Switched at Birth. Hate later seasons Rory, love Alexis Bledel's movies from the same time period. Logan's super annoying at times, charmed by Matt Czuchry in every other role.

  18. I like Dean. Instead of getting mad at Dean for being a jerk, I get mad at the writers for making Dean a jerk to excuse the Rory/Jess pairing. Also, Dean and Jess are practically the same person. Lorelai thinks the new guy in town will be a bad influence on Rory, they fall for Rory and her book-loving ways, they bond over music and books and get introduced to the strangeness that is Stars Hollow, both get their hearts broken when she falls for the new guy and they think she's way out of their league, both have anger management issues and are prone to fighting.
