  1. I completely forgot that the Outpost was back.. Just watched the premiere.

I can't remember why everyone dislikes Falista so much...  I mean she's not exactly likeable, but didn't she help save the outpost and she just lost her husband who she did love. You think they could be a little sympathetic.

I will always roll my eyes anytime Talon talks about how Gwynn was her best friend.  Janzo is obviously her best friend. Gwynn really used Talon at times, so I don't understand the whole she was my best friend thing.

Garrett trying to push Talon into being queen because he thinks it's a good idea was annoying. Also him telling her off for making the bet with Zed was also annoying. Personally I think Talon should tell Garrett off. However, I find Garrett annoying in general...

Is the actress playing Wren pregnant? If not I'm not sure why we needed this story. I guess just so we can have drama between Wren and Janzo.

Tobin seemed really wooden. I wonder if he's going to have side affects from being dead for so long.

Yeah, they kinda gave away the whole season in that trailer.

That's what I thought...  I mean Jack not being dead isn't a surprise, but giving away what is wrong with the Doctor, and the rest, makes me feel I really don't need to watch since I know everything that's going to happen.

DO NOT WATCH IT YOU DON'T WANT SPOLIERS! Seriously after watching the video I feel like I know all all the "Big" moments / issues that will take place.

I loved Linda's revelation about the chicken and her cracking up about it.

Linda was the best part of the episode! Her revelation about the chicken was hilarious. Also her asking God do you want water or wine? Oh for you it's the same thing. Was funny!

  6. Watched S8 E5 The Folly Of Jephthah... I swear Flambeau daughter is a different actress! I found her not a very good actress. I hope this is the only time we see her.  I was afraid there that the actor playing Flambeau didn't want to play the character anymore, so they were going to have him lose the bet and the daughter would be the new thief we had to deal with.

    This show has become dull.

I'm watching on Netflix, and I am struggling to finish this show. It's so so so boring. They should have kept Bess as Secretary of State, and ended the show with her running for president. I miss the old show.  Well not Henny is supper dude and is better at everything they were going for/ still are going for.  But I miss the people at the office Jay, Kat, and press dude etc.. I miss the interaction between the office characters, the interaction Bess had with foreign diplomats, and her going to foreign countries. Now it seems all Bess does is give boring speeches.

Did Dmitri have the facial scruff in previous seasons? Cause he looks goooooddd with it.  Very good.  I still don't want Stevie with him, but not with that Griffin dude either.

Dimitri does look good, but I hate the character and want him gone gone gone.  I know they are going to put him and Stevie back together which just blah no. I can't believe her mother was gushing to Henry an episode ago about how romantic it was that Dimitri still had feelings for Stevie.

I actually don't mind Stevie and Griffin. He makes her laugh and she seems relaxed around him. He also doesn't seem bothered by her having secrete service agents and that people take photos of them.

The Dimitri story has jumped the shark. No way he would ever be safe Just because of a treaty.

Completely agree! There's no way Dimitri would be safe and there's no way Stevie's parents would be secretly hoping for Dimitri and Stevie to get back together. To be fair maybe it's just Bess that's hoping for it.

  8. Kirby still being into Adam after finding out what he did, makes me wonder about her. Girl you should be running as fast as you can the other way.  Maybe she's done something horrible in her past too?, or does she honestly think Adam has changed because he loves her? Is she that stupid?

  9. With Mina gone, I find myself really just not interested anymore...  Nic and Conrad are annoying, Rose is annoying, I don't like Cain. I'm not interested in AJ mentoring Leela.. Guess it's time to find something else to watch.

  10. I'm shocked about this renewal! Will I watch season 2? I don't honestly know. It will depend on what time it airs and how bored I am I suppose.

I do hope they improve Charlotte's hair. It bugged me so much! It wouldn't have been so bad if all the characters had inappropriate hair for the time period, but it really was just Charlotte.

I'm happy for Liam being named star baker, but I thought that Yan should have won the title this week because she won the technical AND her showstopper was really good.

Im disappointed Julia went home - I found her bakes more interesting than Stacey's.  And Stacey baked parchment in her pie! And it was wonky!!! And her pastis de nata was terrible.  I felt like Julia had more upside, where as Stacey has been stuggling for weeks.  Bummer.

I feel like who got star baker Liam vs Yan and who went home Julia vs Stacey came down to how they did the dough on the showstopper: outside the mold vs inside the mold.

    On 9/6/2018 at 2:14 PM, Kohola3 said:

I agree.  Dough inside or outside is pretty much the same thing.  You have to shape it by hand either way.

I agree! I see no difference between the two. But the way Paul went on it seemed like doing it inside the mold was cheating or easier? I actual thought putting the dough on the outside of the mold looked easier.  If it has to be done outside the mold, why not put that in the brief? I thought they were all cheating because I thought hand raised meant no using any type of mold.

On 7/15/2018 at 5:09 PM, DHDancer said:

I was a bit concerned that Sophie's raised pie didn't meet the specifications as it had no top.  I thought it was a bit of a cheat really.

I did too! Julia got a comment about how her lid didn't fit well or something along those lines and then you have Sophie with no lid and no comment at all. And Sophie was mentioned as being in contention for star baker.  I don't always understand the judging.

I was never a Lexie fan so when she popped up in previews last week, I was not moved--but then pleased that they actually surprised me with Mark showing up. Meredith's interactions with them were good.

I also was not moved like I feel 99% of the watchers were when Lexi showed up in the preview. I was never a fan of hers and I didn't like her being paired with Mark.  However, I was happily surprised when Mark showed up and yes that man is still good looking!

  13. Just finished watching and I am meh on Deborah winning. As a women who works in a male dominated field, I should have been thrilled she won.  However, her constant put downs of the other contestants work was so off putting.  And it's not that I think women need to be sweet and nice to everyone. If a male with that attitude had won, I would have felt the same.

Having the assistants make complete pieces seems like a cheat to me.  What if one of the pieces had a flaw in it? Does the contestant get to say oh that's not my fault the assistant made that piece?  Or if the piece is exceptional but is was completely made by the assistant shouldn't that also be considered?

If nobody had explained Deborah's meaning to her meats, egg, and skillet, I wouldn't have gotten the message she was going for. Janusz's last piece was underwhelming, but I knew exactly what the message was without needing it explained.

  14. Late to the party: I've been watching on Netflix. It's not the greatest show there is, but my tv standards have gone down in the last year.

As soon as Emily showed up in her white dress... I spent the rest of the episode trying to figure out how the dress was not falling off? I assumed there were invisible straps, but I didn't see them. I was so distracted by this that I didn't pay that much attention to the episode.

    However,

I guess it was Casual Wednesday at the beginning of the episode, since Aaron was just rocking a polo shirt during all of the meetings, instead of a suit like normal.

I agree Aaron was hot in that polo shirt they need to have the actor in casual clothes more often!

On 10/4/2017 at 9:10 PM, TobinAlbers said:

Well Aaron now has a love interest with the newly hired White House council. That's something.

I also get the vibe that the new white house council is a potential love interest for Aaron. Now the question is...

Emily and Aaron were one of the bright spots of season one - I can't believe they've been dropped in favour of Emily/Seth and Aaraon/Hannah.

Will there be a love triangle between Aaron, Emily, & new white house council? Or have the writers dropped Emily & Aaron for Emily & Seth? I've gotten a Emily & Seth love interest vibe this season as well.  However, I'm not getting a Aaron & Hannah love interest vibe.

If Hannah is to have a love interest, I feel there is a potential love triangle between Hannah, British dude, & Chuck. In season 1 I got the distinct impression Chuck had romantic feeling for Hannah.

I thought the President's in-laws were Russian (hence him having learned Russian) - yet his mother in law sure had no accent of any sort.

I was confused on this as well! Tom made a big deal that the wife's family didn't like him or think he was good enough for Alex, so to win them over he learned Russian. But the MIL didn't sound even a bit Russian. I guess the writers forgot their own storyline.

Unpopular opinion--I really don't want them to go to France. Nothing against France, but one of the appeals of this series to me is the Scottish landscape. France is very been there done that with me, especially since they're not actually going to be filming in France. I know Cait has been saying it will be lush and bright, but give me gritty Scotland any day and rough and tumble Jamie to boot. I know he's a laird (uh, is he still a laird?) but, yeah, no gentrified Jamie for me.

I started watching Outlander when it showed up on Netflix; however, once I got to season two and France I just lost interest.  I keep trying to watch season 2.... So I guess my UO is season 2 isn't very good.

I liked that Ingrid seemed to genuinely like Nora and gave her a great review that saved her job.

I didn't predict creepy guy stealing "Nathan" and throwing him in a fountain or Nora's stealing the case. It was so cute to see her in bed wearing his t-shirt while she pranked him again.

I thought Nora stealing Nathan's shirt from Ingrid was a really low crappy thing to do. Yes, Ingrid had all Nathan's stuff in a box and she's not the nicest person/girlfriend, but that doesn't give Nora the right to take whatever she wants.  I found it creepy not cute that Nora was wearing Nathan's shirt in her bed.

  17. I've been watching this on Amazon... Such a pretty show; it's too bad that the story is horrible.

I'm pretty sure they've never said, probably because they don't want to draw attention to the fact that John is so recently widowed. (But, we have eyes! And if they didn't want him to look like he's moving on so soon, why not have a somewhat older baby/ toddler? Or save the falling-in-love-with-Miss-Osborne plot for a second season... which isn't happening, of course, but still...)

To me, the baby doesn't look much more than 6-7 months, which also seems to jive with the recent storyline about him trying his first solid food.

John doesn't come out looking good in this. He says he was devastated by his wife's death..... so devastated that he is totally in love with Miss Osborne 3-6 months after said wife's death. Yes, I have been rolling my eyes at John all through the show. At first I thought John was cultivating a friendship with Margaret because she had an in with the Empress which I thought would be interesting. But nope John's really in love with Margaret  because of reasons the show hasn't shown us.

I struggle with why John is in love with Margaret . I kept thinking well Margaret does have hug breasts, so maybe that's John's thing.....  It seemed like her breasts were pushed up so much she was almost popping out of her dress.

I found Margaret kind of bland, and just didn't understand John's being interested especially considering his wife just died!

  18. So I had no idea who Amos was going to visit in the prison; I assumed it would be someone from his past. When Amos said "Hi Peaches" I was all crap crap crap I'm supposed to know who this is! I had to come on here to figure it out because I didn't remember who Peaches was and I didn't recognize the actress.  Remind me did Amos and Peaches sleep together in season 3?

I know it sucks. This site didn't used to be that way. It's a pity.

It is. So many of the forums have been vaulted and there is only one catch all thread for all season talks. I usually don't post on threads like this until I've watch all the seasons, but I've found that by the time I'm done watching all the seasons I've forgotten what I wanted to post. 😄

I haven't watched every season but I have no problem posting in here. I upvoted your post about Joe even though it was news to me because I thought it was a good post.

I'm sorry that it was a spoiler for you. I wish there were separate threads for each season, but it doesn't seem like there is enough traffic on here to have that.

I'm sorry, I think it's a bit hypocritical of you to ask not to have spoilers while spoiling some of the MAJOR plot points in your own post. All of the current Vera episodes have aired so nothing is considered a spoiler, if you don't want spoilers don't read the thread until you are done.

I didn't ask people not to post anything from episodes after season 6 because it would be a spoil for me. All I asked was if someone replied to my post not to spoil future episodes; I think that is common courtesy  If I saw someone posting about Joe in season one, I wouldn't reply to their post with "Joe leaves after season 4".

I agree if you don't want spoilers don't read the forum which I haven't and don't plan to. But there isn't any other place to post one thoughts. However, I guess if one posts in a thread it's fair game for anyone to reply to your post and spoil future episodes. So I won't be posting anymore in this thread.
