It seems to me that the original KYV at least seemed to focus a little on practical advice for regular professional women. Although I do agree that it was a vanity project for Mika even back then, I could at least see some benefit. Now that she seems to have merged KYV with Forbes, the whole thing has become absurd.

I think it’s new, within the last couple of weeks. I saw it mentioned on another MSNBC show recently that he had just become an MSNBC contributor

I started cutting my own hair in the early days of COVID out of desperation, and I actually liked how it looked, so I’ve been cutting my own hair ever since. That said, there is no way I would cut my own hair if I appeared on TV.

Haha, I wish. I worked mostly in a windowless lab, and had to travel on government contract flights (often Southwest). Also, to answer your original question. You could make the argument that paper files locked in a safe are more secure than computers. The DoD maintains two classified computer networks (SIPRNET for Confidential and Secret and JWICS for Top Secret/SCI). Although these networks are highly secure, I suppose it is theoretically possible for them to be hacked. However, paper is only secure when it is stored in a safe, and a large quantity of paper files are very hard to control. We are finding out that for both Biden and Trump, the paper files were not controlled at all, and were not locked in safes as they were supposed to be.

Quick FYI here. I worked for the DoD for 30+ years, and I have a lot of experience handling classified material. Nothing about the way these people handle classified material is correct (this includes Both Trump and Biden teams). The rule is that every item containing material classified as Secret or higher that is older than 180 days has to be entered into a classification system where it is barcoded and assigned a custodian. The custodian is responsible for ensuring that the material is stored in a certified safe, and inventoried at least once a year. This applies to all classified items, such as hard drives, documents or pieces of paper. You are correct that it is much easier to maintain control by storing data on computers. If a hard copy is needed, it can be printed, and kept for up to 180 days, at which point it needs to be either barcoded or destroyed. It still needs to be stored in a safe, even before it is barcoded. When I think back on the amount of time and resources we spent ensuring proper control of classified material, it is extremely aggravating to find out that those at the highest level of government are completely disregarding the rules. Sorry if I went a little off topic, but I just wanted to provide a little context to this story.

I heard this when it was on the Howard Stern show, months ago. It was way more explicit than what is in the mediaite article, and went on for at least 20 minutes.

The reason that Joe and Mika are going is that they host a 4 hour show that coincides with the proceedings in London. It would look very odd if Joe and Mika were hosting their show as usual from the Jupiter studio.
-
Especially since the new head of MSNBC is a woman

Mika’s mother passed away. She just posted something on Instagram a few minutes ago.

I actually like Mika’s hair right now. I think it is a more natural color, and I like the length better.

Mika and Joe probably went to Maine for the weekend. They did the same thing a few weeks ago (in NY on Thursday, took Friday off, and went up to Maine). Lemire is definitely the hardest worker amongst the Morning Joe crew.

Georgia voters. A group of Democrats and a group of Republicans (separate groups)

Where are Joe and Mika? So, on Monday, Mika was in Washington and Joe was in the Florida home studio. Tuesday, Mika was still in Washington and I assumed Joe was still in the Florida home studio, but with a fancy new backdrop. However, today (Wednesday) was a surprise. Joe and Mika were sitting together at a desk. They were not in NY or Washington (no one else was with them). The backdrop was the same as Joe’s backdrop yesterday, but there was a wide shot at the beginning that made it look like they were in an actual studio. Are they now in a real studio in Florida, and will this continue? Stay tuned…..

Apparently Joe does like it, because this morning he posted a photo on his Instagram stories of her wearing this shirt, and holding some flowers.

I think that Katty Kay would be the best choice for the additional hour. Regarding Daniella Pierre Bravo (DPB), while I find her story inspiring, and respect her for her hard work, I find her on-air persona to be fairly boring, and I tend to tune out the show when she is on.

She was in DC through Thursday’s show and left for Poland after that. She is supposed to be doing the show from Poland next week.
-
It was a bit confusing, because the morning of Mark’s swearing in, Mika was in Washington and Joe was in Florida. Joe must have flown up to Washington right after the show to make it in time for the swearing in. Then, both Joe and Mika were in Washington the following day.
-
Maybe Mark B and his wife have split up. It doesn’t seem likely that she would miss the swearing in if they were still together. It might also explain why Mika is going to Poland to help Mark settle in. Regardless, I think Mark will be a great Ambassador to Poland. It seems like he was born to have this job

The first year that they did shows from Maine, Joe did the show from the Brzezinski house living room. I really liked that, and there was a nice view through the window. It was also funny, because sometimes there would be dogs running around in the background.

I actually like him as a reporter/guest. Not so much as a host.

The Mediaite article was interesting. We know that Rachel and the Twins are not friendly, so it seems likely that she hired Ari Emmanuel when she saw what a good contract he had negotiated for them. Apparently it worked for her too. I think that Joe and Mika’s contract is up this year, so it will be interesting to see what happens with that.

The primary reason for the rental car shortage is that last year, when people weren’t traveling, rental car companies sold off a lot of their fleet because 1) people weren’t renting cars, so fewer cars were needed, and 2) Selling the cars provided cash flow for the companies to stay in business. However, now that people are traveling again there is a shortage of cars
-
Good for Rachel (even though I’m not a fan), but it doesn’t seem like a good deal for MSNBC.
-
Yes, that is correct.

It seems that Joe is in Maine with Mika, because yesterday he posted a photo of her in her flower garden on Instagram. I’m not sure why he is taking time off, but I recall him doing the same thing last summer (when Mika said “Joe is taking time off because I told him to”). Maybe the time off is related to his tinnitus, or maybe Mika Is practicing for Morning Mika.
