Yes. And it makes the anticipation for new episodes more intense.

Seeing them so happy in each other's company makes me all warm inside.
-
I haven't seen the episode yet, but as for NF spelling Beckett wrong, I'm pretty sure it's his way of having fun and making fun of people overanalysing things.
-
I could buy that hug at the time, because it was more of a motherly gesture, and I'm sure he got plenty of those from his mother and his meemaw when he was a kid. Amy hugging him and wanting to hold hands usually comes with a desire for more than he's comfortable with, and that's when it gets squicky for me. I wish she could just let him be instead of pushing further and ending up disappointed all the time.

He doesn't do it as a favour to her but because he sees it as one of his *duties* within their relationship agreement. It's part of a compromise I guess. If asked it he wanted to do these things, I'm sure he would decline. Exactly.
-
He does these things now, that's true, but he does them because Amy makes him do them and not because he wants to, and that's getting harder and harder to watch. I can already see where they are going with the storyline: Sheldon suddenly realises that he can't imagine life without Amy and after a couple of left field revelations he's ready to have sex with her. Gross.

I don't buy it. He usually can't hide it if he tries to be particularly clever. Furthermore, it was a typical Sheldon textbook reaction like we have seen it many times before.

Amy's and Sheldon's contradictory make-out session at the beginning squicked me. He seemed into it with his hand on her thigh and leaned in for more but thought about The Flash at the same time. Which one is it? You can't have it both ways. If only they could have left Sheldon alone and not turned him into somebody who seems to consider sex now. It doesn't make sense nor is it the result of some natural progression. It felt forced for the stupid ring revelation. I really like the show and it usually makes me laugh a lot, but the Amy/Sheldon relationship has run its course. They should break them up permanently, pair her up with somebody else and turn them into the platonic friends they were when they met. They were so much more fun then together. Highly likely, I know.

Or maybe on his Field trip Castle stumbled over some mysterious fungus ... As to the shower scenario: I'd say Castle should step out of the shower and it was all a dream. Unfortunately, he then learns that his fiance had a terrible car accident and now has a completely different face at the beginning of season 8. All problems solved.

I got enough entertainment out of this one that I'm a fairly happy viewer. The Castle/Beckett interaction was on point for me the whole time, although I got a bit distracted by Beckett's hair. Not a fan at all. Zhang taking out all these guys in the gymn was so bad it made me laugh.

I agree with all this. It's great to have two characters with great chemistry who don't head for romantic coupledom.

The Penny/Sheldon scenes were so much fun. I laughed out loud a couple of times which I rarely do watching the show. The dialogues in their scenes were sharper and wittier than usual, and I can never get enough of their chemistry. The dead mother storyline bugged me, but only because it sucked out part of the fun of Penny/Sheldon. For me, it would have worked better, if Howard's storyline had been part of another episode.

I thought the episode was fine if a bit boring, so there are only very shallow things I have to add: The space suit didn't do NF any favours. I don't know why, but somehow the image of Oliver Hardy popped up in my head. SK's hair was distracting because it didn't do her any favours either. Finally, as the TXF geek that I am: Anbody else got strange vibes of "Ice" and "Space" watching the episode? Probably just me, I guess.

I need to gush some more about that last scene. For me, it's the most intimate scene ever between them. It was all there, the way they looked at each other, the way they touched each other, both totally at ease and at peace. It can't get any better than that. For future episodes, I wish they'd just drop the "heat" (since 4 out of 5 hot scenes make me cringe due to stiltedness) and stick to this kind of full-blown connection instead. It conveys so much better what's between these two characters.

I think you could fanwank that Castle as a PI persona tried to stay as low-key as possible and hence bought the most low-key car possible for his investigations.
