Still not a huge fan of the power change, but it looks like they've got the spirit of the original comic right, and that's the main thing. I'm in.

Huh. They edited out a certain reveal from a few weeks ago, from the looks of it. Unless that's happening in the next couple of weeks.

Calling it now, Thingamabob is Don Henley. Though all the Eagles clues in the package seem a bit too heavy-handed.

Yeah, not to be indelicate but I don't see how the ghosts could have sex (except for maybe Trevor). They can't remove their clothes, they would just pop back on, like Trevor's hand or Sass's feather. So the most they can do is . . . dry hump?
The feather didn't snap back until Sass let go of it, so I assume that while they can't get completely nekkid, they can unfasten, unzip, raise, or lower whichever garment is most appropriate for the task at hand.

Didn't the last season JUST end???
Nearly two months ago. In reality TV terms, that's an eternity.

I think this was the first episode that the multiverse was mentioned? I'm surprised that Naomi did ask more about that/the show didn't explain it -- even if we the audience are familiar with the concept, Naomi isn't.
She's a comic book fan. A DC Comics fan in particular. She's well aware of the concept of a multiverse.
Though to be fair, they could've given her a line something like, "Wait, the multiverse is real? I thought it was just something out of a comic book!"

Preemptive reminder that, no matter who is revealed in the media, and no matter what they're known for in the public eye, discussion of politics is still forbidden on this forum.

Anyone want to explain to a non-comics reader who this is? (Maybe in the comics topic?)

I wonder how Sam can drive with ghosts everywhere? Presume anyone jaywalking is a ghost?
There was that bit in the second half of the pilot, on the way back from the hospital, where she tried to keep Jay from running over an older couple, but they were already ghosts. I'm just waiting for a gag in a later episode where she thinks the guy standing in the crosswalk keeping her from driving through the intersection is a ghost, only to find out it's just some douchebag on his cell phone. (Bonus points if they follow up a few episodes later with him in front of her car again, only for him to be a ghost this time.)

I've been thinking about that. Maybe it was only any residual attachment Hetty had to him that was tethering him to the earthly plane, and when she realized he would never even try to become a worthwhile person that snapped?
I'm thinking it was the public declaration that he was never going to change or stop trying to screw thing up (pun unintended) for the living people in the house that probably did it.

Building the lore! Now we know that ghosts can't pass through iron! And the truly irredeemable ghosts go down on us! And the house has hidden passages! That's probably where all the missing ghosts have been! :)

I’m imagining when Sam and Jay finally have reason to tell him about the ghosts that he’s going to be like: “Yeah. I kind of figured it had to be something like that.”
Maybe he has an aunt who “believes.”Wasn't it his son who saw the ghosts a few episodes back? That would probably go a long way to getting him on board.

Sam is Hetty's distant relative, so I kinda doubt that. Sam's probably descended from one of Hetty's siblings or cousins or somesuch.

I guess I should learn how military towns function, do the military families live on base or in the town or a little of both depending on how long they are staying in town. Base or town, where are the schools located. Shouldn't there be more of a military theme to the town or did I just miss it, signs suggesting we support the troops or military are welcome in stores, American flags prominently displayed, wide strong streets in case a military vehicle drives on it. Possibly a few checkpoints or clearly marked directions (signs) pointing you towards the military base.
My hometown, where I still live, is built around an air force base that's still active, and aside from a small monument or two, it isn't particularly military themed, at least off-base.
I was a fan of the original comic when it came out, and I like that they're taking the same slow-building approach to Naomi's whole deal that the book did. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out on-screen.

This is my main problem with the episode: that while Murdoch demands solid evidence, he is far from a stick-in-the-mud. Brackenreid for example is much worse. No stick-in-the-mud would have agreed to have a house like that built for him in 2022 much less more than a hundred years earlier.
Julia herself is a 'wild child', experimenting with sex at an early age and jumping from specialty to specialty as she gets bored, so I can understand that she thinks of William as a stick-in-the-mud but Freud should know better than anyone that the patient's perception is not necessarily true.
Well, given the current views on many of Freud's techniques, it's safe to assume that he was written to be largely wrong about his analysis of Murdoch, especially since it's basically a surface analysis mostly through third-party information, what with much of it coming from Julia's comments about William from earlier.

When we saw Pete's death scene, it said 1985 at the bottom of the screen.
Somewhere along the line I got the impression that Trevor died in 1999, although I don't know if they've officially told us that.
Don't remember which episode, but I'm pretty sure they said that he died in the 90s.

No, in the British version Alison (aka Sam) falls out a window. Can't remember if it's an accident or a push/scare.
They conveniently cut away at that moment to her landing outside.
SpoilerMy pet theory is that the bird she was shooing away landed on her, and knocked her off balance, and Julian just took credit for it.
