Lastly, why is Andy pretending to "pause" her when most people want Dorinda fired/gone. Let Eva or Jill take over the hosting duties.

My theory is Andy "paused" Dorinda so he could continue to exploit her as needed. He should be ashamed of himself for putting someone so unwell on TV, but as we know, Andy has no shame. (The fact she is unwell does not excuse Dorinda's vile behavior.)

The bullying and shaming stay the same.  The medium changes.  I remember having to be ever vigilant when my kids were in middle school and high school.

Yep. It was a tough time for sure. There are always new ways to bully. 😪 I've seen some pretty nasty adult bullying too. It's odd that, even after almost 6 decades on this planet, crap like that still surprises me.

I also read that Andy Cohen basically already tried it. He said that "all it means it that she changed her plea"  !!!  He said basically that she just sent his daughter a gift and that was sooo nice because she had so much going on. That gift was probably purchased with stolen money, but whatevs, Andy!

"All that it means is she said she was not guilty but now she says she is! Nothing to see here." (read in the most sarcastic Watch What Crappens Andy Cohen impression).

My eyebrows have always been the light brown/dark blond, which is about what my hair is now as well. But for years and years my hair was was much a lighter blond. That said though, does anyone actually care if people know that they color their hair?

I'm gonna have to say no. I had blue highlights for a while. I suspect everyone knew, although a super intelligent guy at the grocery store said, "Whoa...look at your hair color. Is it natural?" 🙄 Interestingly, I decided to go naturally gray over the past few years - I have very dark brown hair. I actually get quite a few compliments on my "highlights" (gray streaks). It was freeing to no longer be beholden to my hairdresser to the tune of a few hundred bucks and a few hours of time every six weeks.

Some may think that I am pessimistic here, and maybe I am. But I am also a high school teacher and have seen the cruel things kids inflict upon another. Picture shaming is a huge thing particularly in this era with mobile phones. I'll spare you the details, but it's heart-wrenching.

new technology = new ways to bully. I've never heard of picture shaming before, but my kids were never really into social media, and I'm old so social media wasn't even a thing when I was a kid.

  6. My hubby and one of my kids are on the spectrum. According to them the issue with photos is they don't know what to do with their arms. But, I mean, sometimes same here so...

Pulling faces in photos is a phase. I remember my kids and all my nieces and nephews going through it. It was annoying, but kids are kids.

  7. I guess she wanted to squeeze every last minute out of her "lifestyle" before she admitted her gains were ill-gotten.

You know, she's not wrong about BIPOC individuals and unjust prosecution/imprisonment. It's a huge problem. But she undermines an issue that is a true crisis in America when she makes the claim that racism is the sole reason for her prosecution. People refuse to understand nuance, and unfortunately some will use that to justify a racist stance.

I applaud Sutton for not putting out a lavish spread of food. Those bitches don't eat, as we've seen repeatedly. I always SMH at all the waste. Hopefully, the crew gets fed with the leftovers or it gets donated to those in need.

Plus didn't she have a different appetizer/finger food in every room? A shrimp salad is a perfectly acceptable lunch.

Thanks for the WWCL rec.  I listened to my first episode yesterday and now I'm hooked!

I promise you won't regret it. I listen to them recap shows I haven't watched for years. My favorite currently is RHUGT because they do such a great Dorinda. I also love their Top Chef recaps because their portrayal of Padma is exactly what I've suspected she's like for years.

    The Naked Bike Ride.

I have happened upon it several times here in Portland while out and about shopping.  It has a parade feel and people paint their bodies, wear hats and play instruments.

I have always stopped and watched the parade.  Many others do too.  Mostly I marvel that people are comfortable in their own skin and I am happy they are enjoying the sun, the ride and the festivities.

Nothing about the parade is remotely sexual.

Agreed. I love Seattle Pride. Parking and transportation to it is a nightmare, but it's a blast.

This is not fat-shaming, just looking at it from a very simple and practical point of view.

Except it kind of seems like it, even if not intended that way (and I'm sure you don't mean it that way). Asanas can be modified and supported if needed, and it often isn't needed. Size doesn't preclude one from teaching or practicing yoga, they simply practice it in a way that makes sense for them.

I notice you've mentioned Leon's and Audrey's size a few times. Bodies are bodies. They come in all shapes and sizes.

Regarding the topless thing...I know at Pride in Seattle, there are topless people. Bottomless people. All kinds of nudity. Which is legal but only really common at Pride. Let me tell you, I've seen some things...

I think the red mark on Sutton's arm not being there and then being there when Kyle sat down and prior to her grabbing Suton's arm is from editing. And the reason that I think this is because Kyle put her hand over it like she was trying to hide it at one point. She also looked like she tried to rub it. I think she left that mark and didn't want it to show on camera. And I think the camera people and the editors are trying to cover for Kyle.

It obviously looked like it was a mark left by someone grabbing Sutton's arm. Unless she grabbed her own arm my money is on Kyle.

Yep - I certainly don't doubt there was lots of editing at play, which is why it's so hard to get a timeline of the mark. That's why I  went back to see if it was there when she walked into the party because at least we know it appeared sometime during the night. And they definitely could have done a retake of her sitting down to talk to Diana after she already had the mark. Kyle absolutely manhandled Sutton, so regardless of whether she left a mark, she still physically assaulted her. Which is why it's so ironic that when Sutton tried to reach out a gentle hand to Diana in an attempt to connect, Diana screamed "Don't touch me!" (or something similar).

  13. I was curious, so I tracked Sutton's red mark on her shoulder back to the previous episode. As far as I can tell, it wasn't there when she walked into Garcelle's party or in earlier party scenes. It appears that it was there when Sutton sat down to chat with Diana at the party. So it mysteriously appeared somewhere during that evening I suspect, but it's always hard to tell where given editing, etc. Of course, I could be wrong about it not being there earlier, since it is right where her hair brushes her shoulders. My guess is it is unlikely she got it from Kyle during the scene even though Vyle was poking her at that spot on her shoulder repeatedly while also grabbing her arms and shaking her.

That all being said, just because Kyle may not have caused that specific mark doesn't mean she didn't assault Sutton, which I absolutely believe she did.

Humans aren't trash, but some certainly behave like it on this show.

so when Marcos was talking about preparing for his celiac guest, he said "no bread, no rice."

AFAIK, rice is not a problem for celiacs. Any experts out there?

I have celiac. You are correct. Rice is fine. But I also noticed one of the guests was on a low-FODMAP diet for IBS, and that is a seriously restrictive diet. Far more restrictive than a celiac GF diet.

Where are the podcasts about this lunatic?

The Gizmodo podcast is called The Gateway, and it's pretty compelling. I've seen other stuff about her here and there as well. She's an absolute trip. In a horrifying way.  I can't remember where I saw it, but there was an episode of some anthology TV series that featured Teal Swan on one of the episodes, and it went deep with interviews with people who believed Swan was responsible for a loved one's suicide. I wish I could remember the name of the series, but I can't. The series featured several different cult type things; one per episode. One was some yogi guy.

To me, it looks like she is implanting "repressed memories" of abuse, which is very likely at least part of what happened to her when she was a teen and seeking care from the "Satanic panic" therapist in SLC. So, she's essentially continuing the cycle of abuse where the abused becomes the abuser. It's disturbing and very sad.

You say tomato, I say tomahtoh.

Cheese curds are not quite the same as cottage cheese. They are more like a Mozzarella texture. They have a little bit of a squeak when you eat them, and they melt super well. They tend to be a bit salty. I first had them when I visited WI back in the 90s. They are pretty decent.

  17. As Jamie was complaining to Tumi about being called a bitch, he was calling Brittini and Aesha bitches. And probably failed to see the irony in it since clearly women are bitches, not men. Fuck the fragile toxic masculinity on that one.  He's definitely created a culture of fear and distrust with his deck crew. If the bitch fits...

Me too. I cannot wrap my head around why anyone would identify as non-binary. However, I also cannot wrap my head around physics. Just because I don't understand something, doesn't mean it isn't true. I will continue to learn and grow and be accepting of others as they travel through this world.

I understand. We all run our conditioned "programs" in our minds. We begin to gender children even before they are born. We make a big deal of announcing that gender. When I was having babies, we even bought specific wardrobe colors and made decor choices based on that gender. We have poetry about what little girls and little boys are made of. We have gender expectations and biases in our education system (less so now, but still I suspect there are some). We have gender disparity in sports, the workplace, and, well, pretty much everywhere. We classify so much into gender in our minds and in our lives. Humanity has millennia of conditioning about gender expectations, gender roles, gender expression, and more. Labels and conditioning are very powerful things. It takes significant effort to overcome them, but what matters is we make the effort.
