So what IS the deal with Jo? I remember when the scandal first broke it was suggested that Tom Schwarz was a pawn , taking one for the team, to distract attention from Rachel and Sandoval. It was said he (Schwarz ) was actually living with or at least a couple with "jo". 

Now I'm barely hearing anything of that.

I noticed that in some of the prior season photos shared of Arianna, that she reminded me of someone and I just couldn't place it. This morning somehow the lightbulb went off and I realized that she reminds me of Jane Curtin (SNL) from back in the day. I think Arianna is prettier but I feel like I solved my puzzle.

I dont know if anyone else wiill see it, but figured I 'd share. Why not.

Seriously- one would think that with the magic of filming and editing, that there might be additional footage to substitute over the shut up I'm talking no I;m talking you shut up.  This is when I question why I' watch this. If this is the best they can do, then I feel justified in falling asleep and having to find it on demand to see if I did miss anything.

 I did wake up to hear Rachel say how she thought about them being a throuple since she is in love with Sandy and she already loves Arianna.

This is all getting way too heady for my brains. I get the idea of respect and all, but to me, this is over the top.

I look forward to watching the reunion tonight or is it tomorrow night.

No judgement here. We leave for vacation next Sunday ... so I'll be able to watch at least part 1 of the reunion. ( who knows how many parts it's going to need).. I was starting to panic but then when I realized I'll be here to see it, I breathed a sigh of relief. But I do think it's so phony and staged but yes I do watch it!

So, aside from the Sandoval/Arianna/Schena/Brock/Schwartz scenes, I'm assuming that all the other scenes featured in the first 10 minutes were constructed and scripted after the fact - except, maybe, the scene where Lisa calls Sandoval and bitches him out for Raquel being late for work.

As bad as I feel for Arianna, Ken waltzing in, announcing the goss while looking like he's trying to remember his lines, and then waltzing right back out made me lol.

It struck me as so ridiculously staged. They should have at least had him in the room, maybe drinking a cup of coffee or looking in the fridge and then saying his line. This was just so stooopid looking. He came in to speak his line  out of nowhere!

Nope no staging went on here.

 And re Kristen D, I also didn't recognize her at first. She had a lot more done than hair extensions and spray tan and implants. She had some chin and nose ( and probably teeth) done as well.  I didn't use to watch the show that closely, but I remember her being off the wall looney tunes. The good news is she seems to have totally gotten herself together. At least she played the part of that for now.

How did it come about that Katie and Arianna would open a sandwich shop? I get that if their partners were in business together that for script purposes, it would make sense but in the real world.... is/was there any explanation as in logic for this?

Of course I do agree with you here. On the other hand though, I do often feel like even more is staged so who knows what the "reality" is. I know, at times I scare myself with conspiracy theories so to speak. I'm torn between feeling sorry for them because it's their lives ( and our gossip) but then I do wonder how much is just happening in real life.

Yes, I know this is not serious state dinner stuff, but it's still a big thing. I still say I  find it ridiculous that Arianna and LVP were there. As much as I detest KimmyK, she definitely has a lot more weight in the public eye compared to these 2. Well good for them.

 

I'm going to be away for the reunion part 1. I sure hope they continue to replay ad nauseum for when I come back so I can catch up......:)

I had a pop up this morning about Ryan's latest arrest and was coming here to share it but I see you're on top of it. It truly is tragic- all snark aside. I mean he really is continuing to go down that path. No matter how much his parents may have enabled his behaviors in the past, my heart breaks for them as this is truly something I pray I never know first hand.

On a lighter note, I think Mackenzie looks better with the dark hair. I think that outfit is pretty trashy and fits the aging alcoholic country star but I think the darker hair suits her.

I continue to be torn between what is real and what is staged. I certainly don't want anyone to truly suffer but I guess I just don't know what's scripted.

I guess I just can't quite wrap my brain around the very basic part of having a camera filming my life and having intimate conversations ( and actions)  on camera, knowing it's going to be seen by millions. The scenes with Rachel and Schwartz "making out" in full view of everyone there was cray cray enough for me, but to know that there are cameras I mean COME ON. WTF?!?!?!?

Which is why I wonder if this is all part of the act. I will say though that I think the cast (and the boss man Andy) did not anticipate this level of reaction from the viewing audience.

I think that while they definitely want the fame ( I'm a celeb you know) I do think that they are also doing it for the $$. As I said, I thought they got way less so it would be the fame........but after learning how much $ they do get, I'd say it's a toss up. I mean this is after all a decent "job". Maybe it doesn't compare with a role in a movie but how many of them are of that status?

Re Alcohol and Islam- I always understood it was absolutely forbidden. In the strict Muslim countries  that haave also had much less European influence  ( Saudi Arabia,for example) it is absolutely forbidden. Morrocco and Tunisia had the French influence and also have a bit more tourism so I think they look the other way with tourists, same I think with Dubai. But in the strict sense, Islam forbids alcohol. In other religions wine is used in the rituals but in Islam it is absolutely not. How Nicole could just say that Makhmood does not like her to drink is just mind boggling to this teevee watcher.
