There is no accounting for chemistry, you either have it or develop it with someone or you don't. Instead of telling someone who is expressing interest that you don't find them attractive, it would be kinder to say that although they are a good looking person, you are just not feeling the chemistry. I have a male friend whom I love like a brother. I can see that be is a handsome man but we just don't feel that kind of chemistry for each other.

Yes and that is still a conviction. Even if someone takes an Alford plea which just means they acknowledge that there is enough evidence to lead to a conviction but don't acknowledge guilt, it is still a conviction.

While I agree that the incident was probably not that serious given that his record has been clean since, it is disingenuous for David to claim that he was never convicted of a crime. A guilty plea IS a conviction. 95 percent of all criminal cases in this country are settled by the accused accepting a plea bargain. If having been found guilty in a trial is the standard for 'conviction' then the vast majority of prisoners doing time were never 'convicted.'

How can this be true? People are expected to marry a stranger, spend six weeks together, decide whether to stay married and if so, stay apart for about twenty-eight weeks???!!! That's a really good way to sabotage a new marriage.

I think Tres and Vanessa look great together and they obviously find each other attractive but they just don't seem engaged with each other in the same way that Jason and Cortney were right from the beginning. I can't read them. If they don't stay together I don't think either of them will be at fault. They may just not be right for each other. I find it very frustrating to watch David and Ashley. As everyone has pointed out, she has been disengaged from the beginning. If there is no chemistry between them, there can't be a happy marriage but sometimes attraction grows as you get to know someone and she has not allowed for that. I also find it very strange that she is so prim and proper (bachelorette party, no kissing etc.) and yet she is willing to marry a stranger. Did none of this come out in the interviews? As for Sam and Neil, I don't dislike her like most do. I think that she is her own worst enemy but there is a better person underneath all that and I am hoping Neil can bring that out. They are both quirky and neither would appeal to everyone but I think that once they understand each other better, they could wind up having a happy marriage.

I really think that all the show participants should undergo a criminal history check (and perhaps they do). In my state it is mandatory if you are going to work or volunteer with children and some employers such as jewelry store owners require it so it is a simple routine process. It costs $25 and you go to a police station and get fingerprinted. The police run your prints in case you are in the system under a different name. They do a nationwide search of criminal records for any arrests and convictions.

And my first post is not slander. It is factual. I never said the arrestee was this David.

According to his LinkedIn resume, David was a sales rep for the Phoenix Coyotes from May 2007 through October 2007. The charges were filed on August 17, 2007. I have no connection to anyone with the Show. I am just a big fan of the show who recently found this forum.
