Not sure why T-Bag is out. Or why he'd be getting the picture of Michael in the mail. Though the rumors of him having amnesia might be real? Noticed he was using airplanes instead of origami. When he hugs Linc he says you're my brother right? No Sucre bummed me out. The tone is definitely season 1 and 2 thank goodness. I put this show to bed but yeah I'm over the moon it's back for a limited run.

In true soap fashion we'll hear Nathan's voiceover ... The role of Kate Beckett is now being played by <insert actress name>. Someone please put me out of my misery.

I would have thought differently before this mess came about. Now? It sounds like something they'd do to the fans. Another little twist of the knife. I wonder if these writers left on their own? Or if it was budget cuts too?

Wow. That rant just became even more interesting.

I love Beckett but I'd be flipping tables too. The show should end. I'm a broken record, I don't like any scenario where one is rewarded and the other discarded.I didn't fall in love with this show because it was Castle or Beckett. It was because of them both. Watching them dance around each other, the banter, the push-pull, falling in love, becoming a better person because of the other, walls coming down, creating a team a worth rooting for. It wasn't original or groundbreaking or without warts but the two of them on this crazy journey was it for me. It was enough. They've straight up wrecked a good thing here. I just can't comprehend it. There's no way to spin this and make it better for me.

Me too. I'd love some final thoughts from her. But I wouldn't blame her for not wanting to look back either. The ratings are poor now. That's not stopping them moving forward. They seem desperate to keep this one going so I don't think a lower advertising fee is scaring them off. If Stana's career is hanging on the ratings of these last episodes she might as well pack it in. If she cared, if she was proud of the ending, if she feared her future, she'd probably be telling fans to tune in until the end. She's been mute about it thus far.

Does the leak really hurt though? ABC probably doesn't care about the ratings this late in the game. They're planning a reboot and are probably hoping Beckett/Stana fans bolt. Had this happened 3-4 episodes into the season then it might have been an issue. Sure, they probably would have preferred the announcement came after but I don't think they're losing sleep over how it went down. I also don't think ABC or Nathan are worried about their reputations in this either. They've got bigger things to focus on now. I doubt Stana cares about the ratings for her last episodes too. Why would she? Unless there's a major bump in screen time or some Emmy worthy scenes involved, I expect more of the same. Nothing of importance involving her character. I am curious if she'll give any further statement or exit interview once the season ends? I'm sure she's been asked for them. On one hand, I can see her wanting to thanks fans again, acknowledge the crew, some of the cast, and maybe something about playing Beckett. On the other hand, I can see her wanting to avoid any fake comments and leave this chapter behind her. I'm also curious about what's next for her. While pickings can be slim at times, there is more out there than TV movies of the week.

Gotta love People online. "Beckett's still here! Catch one of Stana Katic's final appearances." Wonder if Stana leaked that too? I think the boys return. I can see them working for Castle PI enjoying all those perks and high life. Whooping it up in LA. None of that pesky code of the 12th or other guidelines holding them back now.

I can see a 2-3 year time jump and fully expect no mention of Beckett at all. I think the character will be erased as quickly as the actress was. If they want a reboot of sorts they're not going to remind the audience of Beckett.

I can just imagine that conversation. Thanks for coming in Stana. Let's cut to the chase. We're planning a season 9, maybe more, and you're not going to be a part of that. Oh and as a favor can you keep quiet about what's gone down here? Great thanks. Good luck in the future. I would think Stana would keep quiet for her own sake and not as a courtesy to the network. Stana checked out a bit ago. She gives me the impression she would wash her hands of the show instead of giving a tell all. I don't think she'd want to sling shit when others can sling it right back at her as a guilty party in this too. I don't expect her to comment on the show too much in the future either. Not past the usual love for the character and fans. If the cast really knew nothing of the change then I assume only a select few were in the know. Stana, Tamala, and whatever ABC folks. Whether they asked her to keep quiet or not, it would be easy to figure out where the leak came from. If it was Stana's camp it's not a smart way to make friends. She'd have the sympathy of most whether it broke then or the renewal announcement. It's quite possible she's bitter and petty and did leak it. What she'd gain from that I don't know. Hoping to sabotage the ratings? The future of the show? Strange behavior for someone who wanted out anyway. Stranger things have happened so it can go in the pile with the rest of the theories. I still think ABC was the leak to get the shit storm out of the way and move on quickly as possible. Everyone made their bed and have to live with the results now.

I'm easy. I'm too damn happy we're getting new episodes to care about all the details just now. Though it gives me great hope that one of the writers mentioned they're going back to the original formula of seasons 1 and 2. That was the show at its best. Still hoping for an appearance by Gretchen and Mahone but pretty damn happy everyone else is back.

Sorry, I'm not feeling in a "fair" mood. I tend to point fingers and lay blame when something stinks long enough. I don't pretend to know inside info nor do I expect I will ever know the true story. That's not going to stop me from voicing my thoughts. Right or wrong of me. Something stinks about this. It has for a while now. I'm going to call foul when one side comes out looking sweet while the other tossed aside ruthlessly. Most of us agree that the blame lies somewhere in the middle with the actors. While some want to blame the network or Nathan with how things are progressing from this, I believe it lies somewhere in the middle too.

There's no way ABC takes the blame if this was Stana's decision to leave. Whether she made it clear during last negotiations, made scenes about it on set, behind closed doors, etc. ABC would throw her under the bus right quick to get the fans favor. Nope. ABC is sticking with budget cuts and the fan uproar which leads me to believe it was the networks decision. And Nathan's if those rumors are true. It's curious that something similar is going on with Live with Kelly and Michael. Negotiations bts with a blindsided announcement on air. Kelly won't return to work until next week. Rumors that she's on bad terms with the producer and the show might be cancelled as the network focuses on revamping/bolstering GMA. I don't believe for a second that ABC thought up the reboot last week and set things in motion on the fly. It might be unfair to Nathan but I'm believing those rumors that he's been in negotiation for some time. I think the network has had the framework in place and it's just a matter off dotting and crossing everything once the smoke clears. I'm sure all will be done in time for an announcement at the up fronts next month. Assuming it's not leaked before that.

It very well may have started with the network but I'm going to give the side eye towards someone who is happily negotiating under such tactics. I'd be doing the same had the network chose Stana and discarded Nathan instead. Maybe I'm being unreasonable as I sit here comfortably employed. Maybe I shouldn't judge someone who obviously needs a job. The parties can spin it any way they want but there's something really foul smelling here. And I expect it to get worse when the renewal announcement comes. Others may doubt it's a done deal but I'm expecting an announcement next month.

Agreed that both parties are to blame on some level. Maybe people wouldn't be painting one a saint and the other a sinner if one wasn't being rewarded while the other was tossed away in a most insulting way?? No matter how you spin that it stinks something awful.

If by chance the door stays open, I hope Stana stays clear of it. This fan wouldn't blame her for not returning for a finale or whatever token appearances. This fan will create her own happy ending and sleep just fine at night. ABC not only made its choice but made it in a most insulting way. Why would anyone want to return to that kind of business?

Nothing like a big F U by killing Beckett off. Classy move not only towards Stana but the fans as well.

Maybe I'm being unreasonable but I'd rather have a less to no response from Nathan than a backhanded/BS filled one we got.

He hopes the show will be on for many years to come. Really? That sounds like a hell of plan there.
