  1. As time goes on, we are seeing the world of science (or as JP says, SCIENCE, BITCHES!!!) Is taking us to doors we still have to open.

The key is (Pun Intended) how long do we stand in front of that door before we break it down?

Money, research and someone who is interested enough to try and find a answer is what we need. Sometimes throwing money at a problem - money buys the GenModded mosquitos being raised to combat Zika  - the labs that do the research and the people who are doing the science?

Everyone knows the names of the simpletons that win Best Whatever during the award season, but Fuck science, researchers and the schools. Until we need them?

There are people in the United States who don't have insurance and are ill, and the ill with insurance who because of stupid rules, laws, or costs cannot afford to see a specialist to help them.

Yo does and have to means to see the best doctors in the land, but instead chooses people with questionable credentials and motives? It does come down to credibility and when you choose to lose that?

  2.

Lots of misunderstanding and jokes in the beginning but when I think of how ostracized the gays were in the beginning and how they suffered....That was a scary time. I don't know what Yo has. I know she's the butt of jokes.  But I think her brain has been damaged by something. Combine that with her need to be the center of attention and it's the perfect storm of tomfuckery.  I hope she finds a fix for whatever is ailing her.  But her brain is so scrambled that she can't do it alone.  And then you have the quacks and Bravo who are trying to capitalize on her mental/physical illness along with her need for attention and the $$ and Boom.  Perfect storm.

There are many people who are afflicted with a disease, (Michael J Fox?), rally and then become RESPONSIBLE voices for the fundraising, research and treatments.

MoFoYoFo has become the butt of many jokes and of our ire because of the unconventional, unproven and dangerous path she has taken to try and 'treat' whatever she may have.

Her illness, corporal or mental, isn't an obvious one.

My mom died of breast cancer - the doctor said it was a treatable cancer, and she would have lived longer had she been more proactive in getting a mammogram and following up on it.

With yoyo? She says that she has been to doctors and they can't give her a cure. Well, instead of trying to live a normal life and trying to eat and live healthy, she is bathing in Epsom salts, drinking lemonade, getting her colon washed and eating more pills than Carter will ever see in a year of production.

There are cures and then there is the management of an illness. When you can't be cured, you manage and to do that you need to speak to a REAL doctor and get plan of action that allow you to live a normal as possible life.

As I have said in the past? Yo, in her position as the face of LD, is a joke and if the people running the foundation agree and prop her and her 'cures and treatments' up they deserve any derision they get.

Being sick isn't anything to laugh at, Being stupid?

I think all bets are off........

  3. Tarek is more palatable than she is.

Her speech patterns and annoying "ew" whenever she walks into a new purchase make her sound like an idiot - I say that when I come across something in the house I don't want to do, it makes my wife laugh. Also?

Who dresses like a hooker/teen/party gal to traipse thru a place where jeans, boots and long sleeves would be better?

  4. I have coached adult softball and kids softball, that said?

I'd rather coach a team of 40 kids with ADHD than 9 FN adults.

They manage to ruin everything they touch, it you give the kids a ball and a field, they will get something together and play until the sun goes down without any hassles.

The "curly haired" bitch on the Jr Broncos team is a total AH.

When their kids are losing, they complain about 'sportsmanship', but when their kids are kicking ass?

    She show's her true colors.

  5. I do find it a bit cruel that some people (in general, not referring to other posters) are being dismissive of her because she used to be addicted to drugs. I hate that "once a druggie" attitude. So she was a cokehead 20 years ago, BFD; she shouldn't be branded for the rest of time.

There are days when I cannot look at myself in the mirror because I know what I did in my past. It must be fun to be able to do it with a clear conscience day after day? ; )

  6. This poor man.

It reminds me of the documentary How to Survive a Plague https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_to_Survive_a_Plague

Which was about the successful activism in the early days of HIV/AIDS. The difference is the government and the medical community isn't ignoring them, they are simply saying this isn't the disease you have. Who knows ,perhaps they all have a yet to be discovered illness , that will be common knowledge 10 years from now. But bullying the medical community into giving you an unwarranted diagnosis and giving you unneeded treatment is not the way to go.

I hate to sound old, but back in the day, before AIDS/HIV was 'discovered', people were admitted to the hospital where I worked with the diagnosis of "F.U.O." Fever of an Unknown Origin. They didn't know anything about this new sickness.

When the medical community began to see a pattern of who was getting sick, the joke was that you had to be a black, Haitian, gay, IV drug user to become infected. Then the reality of HOW it was transmitted - bodily fluids and it wasn't  'just' a Haitian/gay/IV drug user sickness?

People sat up and began to notice.....AIDS is an insidious disease that is ugly and ravages the person and the people around them - our treatment and control have improved over the years.

Lyme isn't transmitted between people so, in a sense, there is no hurry to find an answer or to find a 'cure'?  And since it is so hard to really isolate the illness, it may be a while before we get any answers and until then?

People like yoyo may be doing more harm to the cause, than then do to help it.

  7. One of the most dangerous 'side effects' about medicine these days is the internet.

It's a wonderful place for physicians/docs/healthcare providers to get information about illnesses and diseases, but it can be a dangerous place if you are one of the many people who 'self diagnose' or are susceptible to suggestion?

Yoyo's problem is that she knows more than any doctor/MD/physician - she lives it, had read about it and specializes in it.

Yoyo is the WORST KIND of person to be the face of anything. Imagine losing a loved one who falls for some of the twattery she is spouting? I can see people overdosing on vitamin C or having so many colonics their rectum prolapses?

I wonder at what point the Lyme Foundation will realize that she is more of a hindrance than a help?

  8. It was an excellent show-thanks for the tip.  It seems Faye, through her book was absolutely correct about OJ.  I was glad they had Ron Shipp on the show.  Here is the testimony of Ron Shipp from the trial.  He jumped the OJ support ship (no pun intended) and got splayed by the defense.  In short the witness who claimed OJ told him he had dreams about killing Nicole.  He was a former LAPD officer and the defense capitalized on his issues with alcohol.  Sound familiar?  http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/Simpson/shipp.html

Shipp said he did not want to be the one tagged with bringing OJ Simpson down.  In her book Weller said the treatment of Shipp by the defense sent a signal to other OJ supporters what they could expect should they decide to testify against OJ.

ETA-One thing that was interesting is no one mentioned Faye's name.  They had a friend of Nicole's who had been absent from her life for years and had reconnected tell some stories remarkably similar to Faye's quotes from Nicole.

Watching the program it brought back many 'side stories' and other obscure tales. I had forgotten about Shipp and his part in the trial - his problems with alcohol were just another character assassination....

I liked the way the program didn't slant any of the facts, altho I found kris kardashian's interviews hard to watch. I have an extreme dislike for her and her spawn.

    -------

One thing that the program could not have touched on was the tension leading up to the verdict. I think that people were so geared up and ready for some possible unrest that, when the verdict  came back as not-guilty, The city was stunned and no one knew what to do with themselves.

  9. The quotey thing won't work.

"Another fucking cleanse? Shouldn't her insides be super clean by now?"

We have yet to see some sort of hair cleanse.

You know, to get rid of all of those nasty hair toxins.

When she shaves her head, I'll LMFAO.....She'll look like a cross between Yul Brenner and Patrick Stewart?

QUICK someone tweeter her with some kind of story about hair being bad for people with Lyme?

  10. In any event, I always got the vibe that Pandora was the golden child and Max was 'adopted'.  It was very sad to me.  It's kind of like the 'Gigi' syndrome.

I was actually kind of shocked when Ken wanted to turn that sex shop into a pub that Max could eventually take over.  Wow.  Ken cares?  And then we have Lisa poo pooing it.

Didn't pandy come on the show and do the 'I am getting married' storyline?

I can imagine Max getting married in Vegas at the Little White Chapel because lisa would say something like, "It would make a man out of him. planning his OWN wedding".

Lisa would film a short scene where she would tell the hired help to go to Target, buy a 100 dollar gift card and mail it to him.

  11. I get that it gets loud by the bars. I lived 10 years in NYC. It is part of the deal, IMO.

WeHo sounds a lot like Chelsea or the meat packing district.

As far as the used condoms, totally nasty, IMO.

I don't know how those areas are set up, but in WeHo the main drags where all the businesses are and you go around a corner and there are residential areas. Homes in that area are pretty expensive and people value their homes and community?

When you spend 5,6,7 hundred thousand dollars for a place to live and you hear people yelling, fighting and carrying on in the middle of the night, wake up to find not the LAPD, but the LACO Sheriffs busting people for being drunk, using drugs or prostitutes turning tricks - Them Sheriffs are a no nonsense bunch.

The next day you wake up to find bottles, trash, discarded needles, condoms in the gutters, sidewalk and on your front lawn? It also impacts business owners in the area. The area isn't what it used to be, it's come a long way from what it was - and people don't want it to go back to what it was?

  12. Without opening the link?

You buy the test, send the results back and find out that a more detailed test is available for 75 dollars. When the results of THAT come back (positive of course), you have a personal detox regime - tailored to you and you only - is yours for ??????

  13. This idiot reminds me of the people that drop dead because they purge every meal. I get the feeling that she googles her name and reads the posts, then puts out MORE propaganda thinking that she will show 'those naysayers'.

She is a FN vampire that gains her power from the 'negativity' people show her. She is going to make sure that people know she is ill.

Because she has a 'hidden disease' it makes it easier to go on with her charade.

She went on a public relations tear and stated that her spawn does have Lyme and they are also participating in some kind of 'super cleanse' regime....

  14. Nobody parks their own cars in LA and frankly I doubt that gay patrons are the most unruly out there.

    A drunk is a drunk!

I lived in the San Fer Valley and worked next to WeHo on Sunset Blvd. I think I used a valet once in about 30 years?

When people come to town, they want to get the whole experience of Southern California. I'd take them on a city tour and some of the most interesting places are in WeHo. Come to the Street Festival Sunset in Spring or the Halloween Street Party to get the extreme effect of what happens near some of the bars and nightclubs.

For some strange reason there is a real problem with drunks, drugs and sex. There have been establishments that have come under the scrutiny of the city council because of the drinking, trash, used drug paraphernalia and condoms left after a weekend - it's worse after holidays.  It's not hyperbole, it's a real truth.

Many gay bars get a bad rap because they are located on the fringe of a business/residential area and the hijinks of the bars spill over into someone's yard.

  15. Thank you to all of you for making me laugh, guffaw even. Lyme disease is serious and does affect many people, but it is impossible to take YoYo and her persecution and endless suffering seriously. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.

If, by some chance we all go to hell for laughing?

When you walk in, look to the left. I will be there at the first table - with drinks - welcoming the rest of the gang!

  16. What type of bars did she have in the other parts of the world?

She mentioned that they left France to follow Pandy going to college but Lisa never said what happened to the business.

She is smart marketing to a gay clientele, IMO.

Although I heard that Vanderpump is the worst place in WeHo.

There are a few draw backs to opening up a biz in that area. Parking is first and foremost, the second is the kind of business?

Villa Blanca is at the edge of the business/housing area. There is no parking in the area - you have to valet or park down the side streets In a residential area. People usually don't GAS and will make noise, drink and throw trash on the ground.

Pump is in an area where parking is a bigger problem. I believe that the property was shown on the Million Dollar Listing  program and was at the corner of the block and NOT in a very good location.

Another concern about establishments that cater to a the demographic that Lisa and Ken target? It's the behavior of the clientele around the business. People sometimes forget their 'manners' when they are out on the town.

    • Love 1
  17. It's interesting to me that Lisa Vanderpump proclaims herself such a big advocate of the LGBT community when she and her husband are gentrifying the gayest section of West Hollywood with their slew of tacky bar/restaurants that primarily bring in straight tourists and douchey heterosexuals.

As a 'douchey heterosexual' who worked near the area and often patronized the businesses in and around WeHo? I never thought of any one area as being more 'gay' than another, Unless you went to the street festival near Vermont or Hollywood Blvd on Halloween? The festivities during that time were gay.....just saying. ; )

  18. A view from the cheap seats?

I am amazed at the passions that I am seeing posted to the thread.  21 years later and it's still a hot topic.

I lived in El Lay at the time and I remember waking up that Monday morning and hearing the news about the killings.

As time went on, it was more and more evident as to what happened - It was kind of obvious who the killer was - it was just a question of getting the 'perp' and throwing them in jail.

    ------

This story had many angles to it. You have a college football player become a professional superstar. He was the voice of a car rental company and sold sliced ham. From commercials he went on to doing bit parts in movies, then became the poster child for domestic abuse, murder and stupidity.

As time goes on, the murder of two people gets lost in the retelling of 'the story'. It's more about the people who showed up after the murders. It's a tragedy no matter what side is argued - and no amount of story telling or tweaking can change it?

  20. I noticed Yolanda healed up pretty fast from her post surgical infection/fever when it dawned her she would be flying back commercial if she didn't check out of the hospital when Erika was passing through.  The healing power of a private jet.

I think that we are forgetting a few things. Having been to a ton of airshows and seen and walked on board all kinds of aircraft?

You can charter an 'air ambulance' that is INFINITESMALLY EASIER than a private jet. They can run your arse up to the plane and you never have to stand up.

Even flying commercial is better? You can get a wheelchair from the terminal, onto the jetway and right to your seat.

For most private jets you need to go out and meet the jet on the tarmac, climb the stairs and hunch over thru the doorway and inside the cabin. A physician/surgeon will give you a set of discharge instructions that would limit you from doing any physical activities that may injure or undo any work they had done. And we all know that Yoyo does everything her doctors tell her to do?
