Of course, Crybrows had to show off her matching horse ring that Kootie has, too. Dog-kicker animal hater Crybrows wearing a horse ring? 🙄
I spent the majority of my youth in the horse world. I have never known anyone to wear horse jewelry who was NOT in the horse world or in love with horsey country cowboy culture. I would love to know the reality of the purchase besides the bullsh*t "it's a cool ring".

I watched the episode last night and again this morning, but with tea instead of sangria... 😉
I think this Christine is just Christine. I now suspect that she has been reigned in from the beginning by Kody's demands on what to put out publicly. Now that she faces no punishment from Kody for being "herself" on camera, the gloves are off. I also think she told the story to point out a horrible thing Kody did...not to purposely humiliate Meri. Though if there were any threads left between Christine and Meri...they are long gone.
However... I also feel like Christine is on a high from the attention. She is an animated person to begin with...and she is riding that high.

Yes, Meri did deserve hearing it face to face documented on the show that Kootie said he didn't consider himself married to Meri any more.
See you all next week...sigh...for more rehashing of old news!
Old news is pretty much all they have left.

So Kody doesn't get asked about the melted down ring? Just the swap between the claddagh ring and the pony ring?

So it's all been fakity fake between Meri and Kody from the get go

I remember that! She was so secure in her HBIC status that she thought she could say anything about the OG and they would still have to bow down to her. LOL, karma is getting her big time!! And I'll snark here a bit, I bet she has her share of stretch marks now and from all appearances, is not the thin beautiful wife she thought herself to be any more.
Robyn has her share of stretch marks. Sadly we were forced to see them when she filmed getting a sonogram.

Stiff and sore and my left hand was really itchy last night and still is today. Wonder if I have a bit of an allergy to the straw??? Great...NOT!
Straw occasionally has weeds in it, but not often and you can get the occasional briar or thistle. It is best to wear gloves when handling straw or hay.

I read somewhere? that the man is her sister's husband. Nathan? The one that Kootie drove around with in one of this season's episodes, that had a wife leave him.
These men that collect wives as trophies, UGH! They deserve to be left in the dust.
That guy does not look like Nathan to me. When he did his talking head about "the wives who stay with Kody will have a wild ride" quote he had dark hair and was...well...creepy.

I'm sure when he was young, Kotex was a real hound dog deep down. Not that he acted on it until marriage, but he probably wasn't all that discriminate about who he could have sex with and could do so even if he didn't like them that much or found them that attractive. And that's why he was OK with bedding down Christine despite not really feeling that attraction. And besides, he had other women he did find attractive so that made it more tolerable. And of course there were other reasons for his having sex with someone he didn't feel attracted to, like him seeing it as his duty as following what he saw as God's will for him.
Yeah, and there's another motivation for having sex with someone he's not that attracted to. He loved the ego boost of the conquest.
My two cents. When someone is putting another person down, especially in the rude/cruel way that Kody has been doing lately they often give away something about themselves. I think there is a lot in the statement he made about Garrison/Gabe during Covid "only wanting to get their pencil wet". Kody only knows how he felt at their age and gave away a tidbit...on camera.
Also...in my humble opinion of the subject...I believe Kody is selfish and Janelle has low expectations.

She said they were lucky to get hot dogs, which I would classify as a relatively cheap food. Things changed once the TLC money started coming in but for a long time, they struggled to have enough food.
There was another point where Janelle or Christine mentioned having to save up to buy the kids new shoes in a rotation because there was never enough money to get more than one kid new shoes. Janelle also called the family poor when they made the move to Vegas.
It just would have made more sense to do assets by wife, expenses by person.
I am a frugal, pragmatic person and I grew up dirt poor. My husband and I have gone through tough times and my frugality and "make it work" lessons from my Grandmother paid off. I have never been able to wrap my head around how they divided up the finances.
My ideals on the outside looking into polygamy is the whole social aspect. Everything goes for everyone. At best an allowance for pocket money that can be spent with frivolity and no judgement from others, but only if all expenses are covered first. The basic needs of the children should have never been divided by the mothers, but the children's needs should have come from the family pot. Or have two family pots, one for everyday and another like a savings account for unexpected incidentals.
The Browns' problems is that at the head is a man who is a special snowflake and wants to spend on showy "look at me" items at the expense of the well being of his children. The family cars are falling apart but he has a big motorcycle and sports car and he's "a watch guy". In my opinion every dinner should have been a family dinner with a rotation of cooking duties. But...I am just looking in with my pragmatic opinion.

SNOW!!? Snow is the reason that they couldn't hang out. Oh my...I might not be able to drive home through the snow!! I have a deep feeling that Robyn used snow as the excuse....not the others.

I suspect that meeting way back when that Kody had with a lawyer fired him up that he only wants to put rentals on the CP lots. He is happy in his house on the hill. He wants a giant storage warehouse and passive rental income.

I really have to force myself to go out to feed the kitties these cold frosty mornings. But I feel so sorry for them in the cold, I try to get them their warm food and water as soon as it is at least light out. But I have to be so careful because it is so slippery out there this early the last thing I need is another bad fall!
Back when I had chickens and had to get their water to them first thing I had the same issue with ice etc. I found something I call "ice walkers". Essentially a rubbery thing you can stretch over the bottom of your shoe/boot that has spikes on the bottom. So when you walk on icy patches you have spikes to help grip the surface. There are lots of different kinds out there according to google. For most of the winter I would just leave them on my boots so I didn't have to put them on and off everytime I went up to the coop or out with the dogs. It takes a bit getting used to walking with them, but they saved me from falling a LOT in the winter.

For anyone else it’s conditional.
I'll add to your last statement that with Kody, it is also transactional. Kody will only give favor to those who serve his needs first and foremost. If your Kody currency runs dry then you no longer have anything to negotiate with.
...I really do hate using Kody language...
But being an Office fan, I can also picture Kody handing out his own version of "Schrute Bucks".

The catfish showed up to one of those parties (before luring in Meri), took photos of the interior of Meri's Vegas house, then later, used those photos to make Meri believe that she (the catfish) had cameras hidden inside of the house. It was just so cruel.
I know Meri spewed a lot of b.s. in our direction over the catfish/emotional affair, but I do actually believe the catfish terrorized Meri, as things started going south.
I am one of the (few?) people who think that by the time the catfish episodes aired on TLC, Meri had come clean with the family. And I think the family already knew what was going on, because of Robyn's friend/employee/minion, Kendra, who seems to have helped the catfish at points.
I think the family decided, together, that Meri should spew a lot of b.s. at the cameras, because Kody's ego couldn't take the world knowing that although he'd stopped sleeping with and loving a wife, and legally divorced her prior to all this, she might need to seek comfort elsewhere.
Yea. There is so many layers to the whole catfish time. It's hard to wrap your head around that in real time it was only about 6 months until Meri figured it out...but wow...what a 6 months that was. In the end it was only the beginning of such a rushing shit show river.
I have often wondered if Meri's "punishment" back then was to be forced to keep talking and talking about it on camera.

I think that Kody is using Janelle's little tree as an excuse.
I personally think that his actual trigger point was her apartment, and maybe the tree lumped in with it.
In the full clip shown in an earlier episode there is a point when Kody is leaving her kitchenette and walking back to the couch during the fight. He makes the point that she made decisions without him and at the same time he looks back and forth and points one hand towards the living area and the other the dining area as if gesturing to the apartment in general.
I think that he is generally pissed off that Janelle chose such a shitty little apartment. King Kody deserves big houses with big garages and big trees and big backyards and at Christmas, miles of Village house figurines and giant trees with giant piles of presents. But Janelle didn't consult with him to buy the RV and then she chose a shitty little student housing apartment and he couldn't even fit his hair products in the tiny little shower or his bedside table for all his books. The kitchen had no room for his freezer (??) And when he was letting it all out...he lumped her little tree in with it, and then used the tree as the excuse, but he was really pissed because it was her job to keep a house worthy of King Kody.
AND... I think that reasoning can also explain why Meri made sure to keep a big house worthy of Kody, because in the end she really knows him best.

Didn't the sellers of the Coyote Pass property decrease the price because Kody agreed to pay to have utilities extended to the property as the county required? Can they have the land replatted without the utilities? I could only have read that here and my limited experience is with incorporated towns in a very different state so I know nothing about unincorporated Arizona properties. Inquiring minds want to know.
7 hours ago, Gramto6 said:I do seem to remember something like that. Kootie got the price reduced in exchange for running the utilities himself. Dufus probably thought in his pea brain he could just go out and dig a trench and then have the lines laid or even do it himself and plug them in at the "big utility box" down the road. He really didn't think that through. Running utilities is very expensive!! He had no clue. No way at the rate he is going could he ever afford it!
Kody's great negotiation skills got the seller to drop the CC&R's if Kody would agree to pay to pull the electric. He later said that that "meant he would just have to pay the builder a bit more money to install the electric". Which made it obvious that he really didn't understand the reality of the building "from raw" that the property would take.

The divorce happened in 2014 so Kody and Robyn could marry (supposedly so Kody could adopt the 3 kids Robyn had with her first husband). The catfishing scandal happened the following year in 2015. I think the divorce and Kody's neglect were the incentives for Meri to look for something, or someone, else. She wasn't selling LulaRoe yet, either -- so she didn't even have a job to help fill her days. It'd be nice if Meri is writing a book if she'd tell more about the catfishing scandal, not just the same old TLC spin on the story.
Back then Meri was the primary seller for their MLM the LIV water. Her and Kody used to tweet open invites to her house for recruitment parties.

TNR people are coming tomorrow with some straw bales to figure out the shelter situation. They have been so helpful! I really want to get the best shelters made that I can. I'm also going to call the furnace people tomorrow and see if they will save me some of the big square boxes as they are so much more heavy duty then regular shipping boxes from Chewy or Amazon.
Going to take it as easy as possible today, don't know what tomorrow will bring. It might be a lot of extra work, but you could take a smaller box and fit it inside a large box and stuff straw between the layers. That would really insulate the inner box against the cold.

Does anybody love their vehicle? If so can you recommend a low maintenance sedan/hatchback/small suv. Looking for something that generally would last at least 15 years. Don’t have a certain price point exactly but willing to pay for something that’s reliable and last. THANKS 😊
I love LOVE my Honda CRV. Mine is a 2005 and my daughter has a 2019.

Yes, I also noticed this. It looks to me like Kody has really been practicing a stone face for these scenes. He does not want to give away ANYTHING in his face and keep up with the "I don't care cause I didn't love them anyway" facade.
