  1. Also, Joanie was supposed to be "5 weeks early", but since she didn't actually seem to suffer any consequences by being "premature" it's possible that Cole only heard the news that Allison had her baby, did the math, and realized the timeline didn't fit for him to be s possible father. I figured that's why the writers made the baby five weeks early, because 2-3 could have been enough for Cole to ask questions, but 5 weeks is long enough for there to be no doubt who the father is .
  2. I guess what I don't understand is why this is being treated as a murder mystery/prosecution drama in the first place. Scotty was walking down a dark, twisty road, probably while high/drunk, and got run over and left for dead. It's not like he was shot or stabbed, it was an accident. The worst crime was probably leaving the scene and maybe driving recklessly or while impaired. It was night of a big wedding of a scion of a well known townie family, and given how may people we've seen driving while impaired (Helen, Noah, Cole and probably Max too) it could have been anyone drunkenly making their way home. It's not like Noah just happened to be driving along, came across Scotty, and said, "hey! there's that guy that knocked up my daughter 3 years ago! I think I'll floor it and kill him!" Someone was probably driving recklessly, killed him, and drove off in a panic. I can't believe the prosecution even has a case at all.
  3. Joan, as it's now considered old fashioned, is actually a little more trendy than the other kids names, which always rang a little false to me. What affluent, trendy, Brooklyn parents name their kids Whitney, Stacy and Trevor? Maybe Martin, possibly Whitney if it's a family name. Someone like Helen would have given her kids names like Rose, Sophia, Finn, Nathaniel, Owen, Alex, Abby, etc. Actually Max and Noah are more appropriate names for kids born in the late 90's early 00's. I don't know why I brought that up - it just has rubbed me the wrong way the whole time.
  4. I'm really starting to think that something is wrong with Helen in the present day scenes. I thought Whitney's comment about how Helen only has 5-6 good years left was possible foreshadowing, and Helen looked awfully pale and drawn, especially at the gym. If she's sick/dying that would explain her desperate need to get Noah off at any cost, even by alienating him with the whole baby DNA swipe. I assumed that's why she was so upset when she handed over the pacifier; she knows that she will lose Noah forever, even as a friend, through that act but she's desperate.
