But boy, if I thought they were bad . . . along came Alyson Hannigan. Yikes! She was terrible. She was just way too flustered and way too unfocused. I felt so bad for the contestants stuck with her. To be fair, the female contestant was the worst possible match because they were both way too manic. I bet she was thrilled when she got over to Joel McHale's table. But then I felt sorry for the poor guy who got stuck with her in the second round.

I mean, when you have to go thru "Not North, Not South, Not West" just to get to "East,"  wow.

Felt like I was watching a train wreck....couldn't look away....figured she would be better in the second game with a different partner but no.  She tried the face saving "I'm much better playing at home", no consolation for the people paired up with her.

Here is my thing I completely think she was in on it but even if I give her the benefit of the doubt and my partner and friend harmed a human being in my name I would at least feel empathy for the victim and she clearly has not done that not at the time or in the years since when she no longer worries about criminal prosecution. Again this is based on her own attitude in interviews and not “media intervention”. In her many incarnations this is also not the only time she has made light of what happened to Nancy.

This is what gets me as well.  Nancy was lucky she wasn't permanently maimed or crippled for life.

What concerns me here is that Tonya is now a Food Network champion and as such may be brought back for future appearances.  I don't think we've seen the last of her.

She became Dean of HR. From what we've seen, it looks like it was just a title change with a higher salary, rather than actually moving up within the organization.

Thanks....I worked at a college where they didn't have such a position.  Usually a dean is ancademic and HR is administrative.  Since this is a sitcom what they did is just fine.

  4. I know there's been speculation that Amy is pregnant....she's acting out of character etc.  But last night's episode had Mrs Davis offering her booze of some sort (which to be fair we did not see Amy drink) so she either isn't pregnant yet, doesn't know she's pregnant, or the pregnancy speculation is incorrect.

His whole storyline right now is about his parents not accepting him, how he's had to leave his family and job, but at least he has his boyfriend to support him. IF his parents come around, my guess is that it will be on the night of the finale if he makes final 3. Or, you know, it's "songs that remind you of home" night or something and right before Jeremiah goes out on stage, he sees his parents down on the front row. He goes out, sings, cries, and hugs them as his song finishes. The show will want to milk that angle with all they've got.

I'm not saying that as a diss to Jeremiah or to anyone else whose parents have had trouble with their child's sexuality. I know this happens and it's incredibly sad. I live in a very religious and politically conservative (socially anyway) area and I've had many friends who were disowned by their church or parents for being gay.  It's incredibly sad. As greedy as shows like these are, though, I can see them thinking that the whole forgiveness storyline is too good to pass up. They'll somehow want their fingers in that. I guess if it helps him and his parents move forward together, though, then it doesn't matter.

Since the first time we saw Jeremiah I've thought that Idol would do everything they could to have his parents show up to support him at a live performance (assuming, of course, that he makes it that far).  At this point I would be shocked if we didn't see them.

I refuse to believe that Wade's ignorance is real. I think it's part of his schtick. There have been too many things that he "hasn't heard of." He needs to drop it and soon.

I want to bring Jeremiah home with me. We can watch "Designing Women" marathons and eat Nutella out of the jar in bed. My kids have always wanted an older brother.

Out of all the seasons I've seen, Laci is one of the few people whose album I'd buy. Alejandro is another one that I just like to sit back and listen to. I've really liked other people in the past, but only for as long as the season is airing. Once is ends, I tend to forget about all the contestants but the really big ones (Kelly, Carrie, JHud, Adam, etc.).

I continue thinking that Evelyn sounds like a cross between Delores O'Riordan, Sinead O' Conner, and a braying goat. She is so affected that I almost can't even listen to her. Laci *could* sound affected, but she missed the mark and that's in her favor. IMO she's one of those who naturally has a unique and different voice, whereas Evelyn's sounds like she's trying to have one.

I've been lukewarm on Laine, but I actually liked this performance.

It was past Nate's time to go.

    LOL.  Braying goat for sure.

Professor Proton wakes up in bed with Suzanne Pleshette - 6 1/2%

I just love this idea!  They could probably do something with Bob Newhart as PP using footage from shows or movies with Suzanne Pleshette.  I don't see Chuck Lorre wanting to do this, funny as it would be.

    • Considering how many country singers appear in the audition shows I would be interested in knowing what percentage of total auditions fall into this category.  Maybe we see so many because there just are so many.  I love country music but would appreciate hearing other genres as well.
    • I don't enjoy the show getting mileage out misfortune or tragedy.  Don't make these families relive it on national television.
    • Regarding "judge lust" -- not entertaining or believable from Katy.  From Luke....was this the first time we've seen it?  Sometimes I just listen and don't watch the screen so perhaps I'm wrong.  He still has a long way to go before reaching Steven Tyler's level.   Happily there's none from Lionel although he may smile at Luke & Katy.

  8. I really haven't been a Davis fan this season but I do have to admit that even when he makes mistakes he is leagues above his competitors.  I should acknowledge that the way he's been shown and edited contributes to my disliking him.  He should be the champion, but my concern is that he will attempt something so difficult, challenging, out-of-the-box that he'll fail in the attempt and one of the girls will win instead.

  9. First episode I've enjoyed this season.

The boy with the tall hair....I immediately thought of Beavis and Butthead and couldn't get that out of my mind.

Lemongello -- entitlement much?  I'm glad he didn't move forward, I think he would have been a distraction and problem in Hollywood for whichever groups he wound up in.

I must say, and I know they are children, but this is the second time I can recall being really unimpressed with Jaxson's attitude. The first time was the duo challenge when he literally forced Madison into doing the stuff he didn't want to do and when she tried to assert herself, he refused to listen and did exactly what he wanted. That's when I turned on him. It felt entitled, petulant and bullying. No surprise that he wants to also be a jerk about helping the other bakers.

I completely agree.  Jaxson is not getting a good edit, hopefully they are being fair to him, but we can only evaluate based on what we are shown.  I've been hoping that his parents will give him some guidance.

I would only be surprised to see Davis go home this week but of the rest I'm sort of expecting Jaxson to go.

I didn't really understand the shrieking reactions of Delilah and Gary with Ashley either. She SHOULD have given Delilah the papers before, but she was trying to help and she had actual answers and explanations to some questions that they didn't even really take the time to bother to ask before they threw her out. Gary's yelling at her was over the top and made me want to punch him a little.

I wasn't a fan of Gary's reaction here either.  I'm wondering if they taped this scene multiple times and the director repeatedly asked him to make it louder and angrier.  Delilah's anger with Ashley I understand and Gary was trying to help Delilah but this was certainly not his best moment.

I don't think Gary will die if only because James Roday is a bigger name and has a fairly large fanbase from Psych compared to Allison Miller.  I haven't heard that he was only signed for a single season because he has other irons in the fire (he's done some writing and directing); but that's the only way Gary would be the one to die, if Roday didn't want to commit to a series.

Sincerely hope you are correct.  I keep hoping that if I predict it then it won't happen.  He's the reason I continue to watch.  I think there's a second Psych movie already written and they are waiting for schedules to clear and coordinate.  I don't think that would keep him from continuing to work on AMLT.

Not sure if anyone has seen this media article or not: https://tvline.com/2018/12/12/a-million-little-things-recap-season-1-episode-10-christmas-wishlist/ and there was one thing that stuck out to me in this article. This is from the show's creator, DJ Nash.

The actor, Allison [Miller], who plays Maggie — I told her this yesterday. I said, “When I wake up at 5 am and have to watch a cut… there’s always a point where I just well up with tears at how you’re playing the humanity of Maggie.” It’s truly beautiful. I have lost many family members and a few friends to cancer, and the journey that Gary and Maggie go on ends in heartbreak.

It's not sounding too good to me and I hope he's not implying what I think he's implying.

I still think it's Gary who dies.  Hoping that I'm completely wrong and that neither Gary or Maggie die but if one has to I would want it to be Maggie.
