    Party Down South 2: Season 1 Discussion

    When the first cast had their first reunion, it was obvious that Maddie and Little Bit weren't friends anymore.  It was obvious last night that the Trashy Barbie and Bradley Luvvvvv Story was over.  Once real life sets in, (just like the Bachelor/Bachelorette), the fairy tale love stories/friendships are over! Probably due to footage and interviews being seen for the first time.....

    I also was giving Cortney the major side eye when she was claiming she was strong while lamenting being without Jason for a day. If I was a man, I would be signing up for extra hours just to be away from her clinging, whining and crying.  To be fair, I speak from experience when I say men do this too.  It took a restraining order and jail time for me to convince a clinger to back off, but then again I was not stupid enough to marry him. I am hoping that this show is fakety fake fake, because Cortney and Jason are a total train wreck and I do not believe that Jamie loves whatshisname.  SCRIPTED!!

    Since some of these women refer to themselves as "curvy", I asked several men of all sizes what "curvy" meant to them - and 100% of them made the hour glass figure motion with their hands.  None of these women are curvy according to the men I questioned.  As much as it chaps Jenn's ass and sends her into histrionics, Mar is right.  They are fat period.  And Jessica needs a reality break.  If you are still that overweight after losing 110 pounds????? She is lucky she is still alive. But kudos to her and I hope she loses a healthy amount of weight and will see how delusional she once was thinking how skinny she is at her current weight.

    S02.E12: Cowboy Country

    Being a die-hard Cowboys fan, I really enjoyed this episode. I even made my significant other (other what I'm not sure), watch the part with Lainey's dad.  It was beyond awesome to both of us.  But I had to wonder why a Philly person would not be an Eagles fan?  Not a native perhaps??

    S30.E05: Dirty Laundry

    I'm happy that Alicia character is gone. Not only was she an admitted liar her head was shaped like a malformed potato.

     

    It upset me.

    Yeah she was all badass on the tape wanting to get her 15 minutes, throwing all kinds of shade at Sylvia.  But when it came time to be tough, she folded like a lawn chair. I was 100% on the side of Violetta. Alicia sent in a tape to MTV, got picked to stir up shit, and she should leave with the quickness.  Stirring up shit is the ROOMMATES' job after all!!

    I found it suspicious that Prince Farming's date card handwriting looked remarkably similar to the handwriting of previous Bachelors.

     

    Since I have worked more years than I want to admit in graphic design, I am sure there is a template set up for the date cards in Quark Express (or something similar), with a type style like Bradley Hand Script, which the interns feed through the printer. 

     

    ETA:  Whitney is originally from Kentucky??  Damn we just can't get a break.  Thank gawd for the Wildcats!!

    Steve put up a new column yesterday and gives some more details on night 1, including the order of the girls during limo arrival.  Plus he reiterates that Whitney has a really annoying speaking voice.  *LOL*

     

    Oh gawd!!!  Like fingernails on a chalkboard!! If this is true I don't think I can watch even though I want to.  Chris is such a cutie :(

    but linguistically, there could scarcely be a worst choice for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I mean, if you Googled the word selfie, the show was not going to pop up.

        

    That's actually a really good point. Social media is here to stay and having a show with a hashtag that is this generic, a google search that one would have to dig through to even get to the show, is not good marketing.

     

    But are people really that stupid??  Please tell me they are not.  You can get on IMDB and find out anything you want to know about any show past, present or future.  More, actually.

    Oh, that was sweet. Loved Eliza's realization that she didn't need to look to anyone but herself for inspiration. (And with her hair cutting, it looks like they were paving the way to get rid of the wigs.) Henry coaching/cheerleading when Eliza confronted Corynn was adorable. Also loved the bookstore security guard who was totally cool with Eliza jumping Corynn as long as it was outside of the store.

    My main complaint, of course, is that this is the last episode. My next complaint was the total lack of Saperstein, though I'm sure he would have made an appearance had they known of the cancelation before they finished filming.

    Thanks, Selfie, for making my Tuesdays a bit happier and sillier.

     

    Imagine my GLEE when I looked at my Watchlist (Comcast - GAG), and saw there was another NEW episode of Selfie!!  Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy 4th of July, and Happy Thanksgiving to me!! And it was such a good episode!!  The ending montage?? **fans self**  Yes look at your supreme awesomeness, John Cho, on that big white horse!!! The only thing I had a problem with was the whole thing with that McWaters chick.  I was literally yelling at my TV, "Tweet!!! Blog!!! Post!!! Do what you do girl but expose that biatch!!!!!" The Eliza I grew to love would have wasted no time doing that.  Having said that?  I have watched it three times already.

     

    ETA:  I was majorly disappointed when John Cho did not throw down some mad skateboard moves.  He grew up in Cali.  I thought it was a possibility!! Alas, no. :(

    I'm not liking this season at all.  The boys aren't that cute (ESPECIALLY Brad), and that little trick Raven needs the bitch slapped out of her.  I have had some major hangovers in my life, but I never ended up in the ER. Even at Ashton's age I knew no matter how sick I was, I had to down water in between episodes.  When did kids get so dang ignorant????

    Wow, Maddie looked rough!!  That's what living hard does to you - it shows on your face.  I too love Walt.  He reminds me of so many of the good ol redneck boys around here, which is no big surprise since he was born and raised in Kentucky.
