  1. Was Phillip, the one played by Donnelly Rhodes, a junior? I can't remember.
  2. Is it possible that this guy is not some new character but rather a recast of the role Phillip II? I ask that simply because I heard someone on yesterday's (US) show mention Phillip together, with Chance. The last reference to Phillip was when it was mentioned in passing that Chance was out of WitSec and the two of them went off trekking into the Himalayas. Frankly, it would make a lot of sense that the two of them sorted out that Katherine's will was more than just a little hinky. The two of them are the only actual Chancellor-named heirs, all the others being Katherine's descendants. I've always believed that there was something totally off with that crap and it was never intended to go down that way, but JFP reworked something that one of the show's writers intended. I might be able to shrug off Katherine having brushed off Brock and Mackenzie because they weren't materialistic, but damn Brock's church and Mac's missionary work at that time might benefited from cash from an inheritance.
  3. Respectfully, I just gotta disagree with you on this. Nobody has been as wooden as Burton (though Morrow is running a really close race). I just feel the writing has left minimal room for MG to be nuanced; however, when he is interacting with the little boy who is now playing Connor, he shines. And he's great interacting with Sharon Case. Apparently, offscreen as well.
  4. She was married and divorced, and shortly after she was divorced, she started her jewelry line. I don't know whether she's still involved with that now or not, but I haven't heard anything about since the rollout, which I think was back in around 2009 or so.
  5. I don't remember whether I asked this previously, but whatever happened with the (purportedly confirmed) announcements on Twitter and elsewhere that Mishael Morgan and Jessica Collins were coming back to the show? That was well over a month or so ago and now, crickets. Did that become dead in the water when CBS decided to get rid of Angelica McDaniel, or was it all just so much spumor?
  6. The way they're writing for Billy's character right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see JT getting the heave-ho soon. It really seems that he's verging on a psychological breakdown and he might do what he's done in the past. He may leave GC in a similar manner that he did when he was married to Victoria after the gambling debacle in which she was kidnapped. That was when he was drugged and raped by Chelsea. I believe BM was on a short leave from Y&R in order to film American Sniper or somesuch. It wouldn't be unreasonable to think that when Billy returns, BM is playing him.
  7. I'm skeptical that anyone else is actually doing the gaslighting. I think it's all in his mind and that mind needs some pretty intensive therapy stat. I think it's a combination of Chloe's charge to him that she believed he needed to "fix this" (or words to that effect), with the fix being Billy killing Adam as punishment for Delia's death (which, in itself is straight up psychopathic). He's also carrying around a great deal of personal guilt because he was the one who left his daughter alone in the car at night with her runaway pup who lived up to his name. If Delia had been in the store with Billy, this wouldn't have happened that night.
  8. JC does regional theatre performances quite often. She made the rounds a couple of years ago in a one woman show about Vivien Leigh. Maybe she's had a conflict in scheduling. And there's a possibility that since MY used Gloria as a casual partner for Jack, they considered her spoiled goods.
  9. I don't care one way or another about Anita because she isn't in the thick of things driving story. She's, at best, a cameo player. She makes an appearance occasionally, usually as a sounding board for Chelsea, and those scenes are just sporadic. She is inconsequential to the storylines. I just don't think she's important enough in the context of things for folks to get so worked up about. I am peeved about Gloria's absence though. She needs to be back in the mix now, especially since Kevin and Chloe are back on (I guess Chloe's back, but I guess the 'back' is back in Portland). So was EH's appearance last week just a one off? Anyway, Gloria would be great to just watch her going after Phyllis and driving Michael, Kevin and Lauren nuts.
  10. No. He was ruled dead by the coroner's office based on DNA evidence and some fragmentary human remains ruled Adam's. He was legally dead at the time Chelsea married so the marriage and adoption are legal. That marriage would stand. That said, Adam being discovered alive would present some legal hurdles for him. First of all, he'd likely be investigated and prosecuted for faking his death, if indeed he did that. His explanation was that he was blown out of the cabin or something like that and he wound up on a westbound train somehow and he doesn't remember how that came to be. He's said he had amnesia, but who knows? If not prosecuted, at a minimum he would have to reestablish his identity, get new social security numbers, etc., inasmuch as the social security administration would have demised his identity number within their system based on the death certificate issued by the county. Any other identity cards such as passports or drivers licenses, etc. would have also been demised simultaneously. Any financial accounts would have been handled within the probate system regardless of whether he had a will or not. Chelsea would have benefited as his widow, along with their son Connor.
  11. Whut! I guess I missed that. Whelp, I guess Chance conquered the Himalayas and trekked himself all the way back to Vegas. Strange. I wouldn't have thought Chance would be a Vegas kinda guy.
  12. Okay, Canadians! On Soap Central they're speculating that Chance is back and he was the one who tipped off Victor about Adam being alive and they has also given Phyllis some inside scoop on what Adam was up to in Vegas before Victor discovered him there. Actually on SOC it's contained in a spoiler thread. Is this true? We know Chance is alive and supposedly in WITSEC, but occasionally works undercover for the Feds.
  13. Oh, I agree, Valley! I saw her in the movie Double Jeopardy. The only difference in her *performance* as Suzanne (basically one scene, one line), was that she had a southern accent (a rather poor one I might add). For better or worse, GT did a better job as Phyllis, especially at first. She was nuanced then, but that was before the producers/writers decided the character had to go back to the old default setting. You all know the one: basically Norma Desmond Does Jazz Hands.
  14. You know, it's getting so that every time EB starts braying about his "big" storyline, you can pretty well bet that it's going to involve his near death from somethin'. His last death defying maneuver was a one-and-a-half gainer from the top of the Raunch stairs. And wasn't that last summer about this time? Oh, well. It's not like they can have him parachuting out of Cessnas over Canada in the middle of the night any more.
  15. He wasn't "whiny" because he wasn't written that way. JFP/Pratt went out of their way to essentially create new character. Frankly, I never liked him. Oh, I like JH well enough, but he wasn't playing the character that had been previously created. JH's "Adam" was a new creation. They de-fanged him and put one of Chelsea's handbags in his hands.
  16. I'm in agreement with you. I say they put him with Stafford. Oh! And welcome LucindaWalsh (who was my favorite character on ATWT back in the day).
  17. I didn't make anything of it. Victor's a narcissist and he ain't going anywhere. He's used up more than any nine lives and there have been numerous "close calls" involving situations where everyone has believed he died. EB has no plans to leave Y&R. He's said so on Twitter and in interviews. This is his big story right now. Like it or not, EB is on this show for the duration. When he's not, he causes hell for whatever HW who has the temerity to backburner him. He's done this for the past four head writers and he'll do it again until he draws his last breath. (And god help any actor who begins to upstage him with the viewers!) Believe me, Y&R will be axed before Victor and his portrayer are.
  18. I wasn't aware that Wills selected (or did she?) a sapphire and diamond. His mother wore a sapphire and diamond ring during her engagement. Do you think he gave Kate his mother's ring?
  19. I wish he would. She's become the female human equivalent of Wile E. Coyote.
  20. I've never seen that article. I remember it from the news at ten on our local Dallas station and as I mentioned, I didn't remember hearing about what her punishment was. I never realized (or the news at the time didn't relay it) that she'd been informed on by people at a party by her casually and brazenly telling everyone that she had been flaunting a human hood ornament on her car. Wow. That's a strait up cold blooded admission of murder.
  21. You remember correctly. It does seem weird that a young child wouldn't inadvertently slip up and refer to her mom. That said, pedophiles tell children of all ages (including young teenagers who are generally pretty cynical already) that something terrible will happen to their parent(s) or caregiver(s) if they tell anyone about what has happened/is happening. Chloe and Kevin could have been indoctrinating Bella, who was about three when they took her to Oregon, that something awful was going to happen to Chloe if Bella told her grandmother or anyone else about her Mom being alive and with them. It could have been something like, "if you let anyone know that Mom's alive, that Bad Man will come and find mommy and kill her."
  22. I think it's that mini warehouse where Abby and Scott were locked into by Abby's sex trafficker boyfriend who was holding Crystal in bondage.
  23. I think it's Chelsea he's been talking to.
  24. Actually, Adam swerved off the road to avoid hitting the dog. He got out of his vehicle to check if he'd hit the animal. He hadn't and he saw the dog trotting off beside the road. He didn't check around further because he didn't think he'd hit anything. I would have done the same thing. The only thing I wouldn't have done was maintain my silence after finding out that I was the probable driver who hit the kid. I will say that this happens more often than anyone would like to think about, and a fair number of drivers are shocked, panicked and not thinking or functioning well afterward. I don't know that I would have been any shape to have come forward immediately and I wouldn't have gone to the police without an attorney. A good one. As a sidebar tidbit: I read and heard on the news several years ago about a woman, I think in Houston, who was driving home late at night and she was intoxicated to some extent, and she hit a guy on the side of the roadway. He flew up onto her hood and she drove home with him essentially on the hood and windshield of her car! She drove into the driveway, auto-opened the garage, parked and went into the house with the guy (unknown whether he was alive or dead at the time) still on the hood. If IIRC, she found his body the next day. I don't recall the details that followed, but it was a few days before she either came forward or someone convinced her to do so, and I have no idea what happened legally to her.
  25. I'm speaking from the perspective of someone who does like Mark Grossman in this iteration of Adam. I think he's a fine actor and he's able (as a newcomer) to stand toe-to-toe with the veteran actors, some of whom have been onscreen continuously for up to 40 years. He's got chemistry with EB and especially SC, and he's out-acting JM (which I'll admit isn't a stretch, but he's actually upped JM's game). He's got an intense look and is physically similar to a young EB, much more so than any of his predecessors, especially Hartley. JH was physically wrong for the role as it was created. He was certainly pleasant enough, but he wasn't playing Adam. The actor JFP cast in that role was not chosen to play the historical Adam, but essentially to create his version of a new character. I don't know which version you preferred (or whether you ever liked the character or actor who portrayed him previously). My favorite was definitely MM. And I think MG, while not him, is doing a very creditable job of portraying the historical Adam. Now, my preference would be to tone the character's apparent villainy down a notch, but I definitely don't want to see the character devolve to the point where he's basically just around to carry Chelsea's purse, which is exactly what I thought JFP did to the role. That would be a waste of space, though I'll admit JH was easy on the eyes if nothing else.
