D'Iberville got me to Mississippi, where I spent my truncated senior year of high school, and D'Iberville was a school we played in basketball. (I sucked, but it was a small school and I was tall). Mississippi got me eventually to Pontchartrain
Wonder if they'd have accepted just Gaelic?

Got Chekhov after focusing on the year. It helped that 7th grade me and my best friend were HUGE Star Trek fans

more Canadian content on TV stations
Also true of radio. Detroit's Top 40 radio station back in the day was CKLW in Windsor, and we got extra helpings of BTO, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and everyone's favorite, Gordon Lightfoot:)

I was sure Jared would be one and done, but I was ok with him winning.
But JFC...NO ONE knew the lake north of Ohio?

surprised no one figured out Camry from kanmuri.
I knew Camry from 15 years of collecting monthly vehicle sales data. In all that time, I think the Camry wasn't the best selling car (trucks are counted separately) maybe 3 months.
I screamed BE MORE SPECIFIC at the Harrison clue. That was just wrong
I didn't think of Hunger Games at all; got archery from Geena Davis and thought it might have been Wonder Woman or some other comics franchise

Good point about the hero being from history, I'd forgotten that.
Edison, anyone?

I want to know who Rudy picked for his hero
I wonder if Millie picked Louise. I know we didn't see her but she is in her class

Holzhauer-san cracked me up as well. Couldn't believe Mattea whiffed on FJ

I too thought Dottie was a goner given the news about the cast being cut back. All those things she did that ignored medical advice.

the only time we've ever actually seen a ghost get sucked off was when the person was dying and the ghosts were waiting to see if their spirit would stick around or get sucked off, like in the pilot episode. We've not yet seen someone who was already a ghost and hanging around the house for a period of time get sucked off.
Actually, we did see Sam's mom get sucked off, although she wasn't in the house

Good old Southern Nonexistent Michigan! We have Northern Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and Central Michigan! The actual University of Michigan is pretty far south :) and would make sense for Abishola for medical school.

do wish that Mayim had said it when confirming it was correct.
I do think Ken would have said it!
Solzhenitsyn is a slippery slope. Most of us mispronounce foreign words. Those pronunciations sounded bad to me but Mayim's didn't sound perfect either.

Welcome to the Guild of Jeopardy Champion Trans Women,
Didn't realize, but suspected as much.
Amy wrote a post on Defector saying that growing up as a guy helped her on Jeopardy. Wonder if Hannah feels similarly

I'm guessing his grades are too low
I remember a King of the Hill episode where Peggy failed a middle school football star, and got massive pressure to pass him. I imagine that Billy would get acceptable grades if he was good enough at football. Definitely could be a plot point to explore

it did make me want to hop a plane to London, so I guess it worked?
You should do that thing if possible. London is fantastic

How would they not qualify for any financial aid? I guarantee my parents made more than they do when I went to college and I got aid. Yes, I still had loans. It wasn't the end of the world
THIS THIS THIS
The storyline is ridiculous. Darlene hasn't had a job for more than 20 minutes, and they make too much? They should at least make a feeble attempt at a realistic plot
Liking Becky and Samwise, though

"Are we not pens? We are stylo" made me laugh very very hard.
Not sure I liked Linda getting what she wanted, but I think it was inevitable. Tina should have kept her DVD

This seemed like a filler episode. No stories really advanced. If it never ran in syndication, it would not be missed.

Mudguard is not a common Britishism for fender...wing is. Even Amazon's UK page says mudguard is pretty much the same thing as in US/CA.

As soon as they revealed the JV category, I said Justin Verlander. None of them seemed like baseball fans, sadly

Jeopardy! Season 39 (2022-2023)
in Jeopardy!
Just my luck I'd get Opera, Mythology, and African Geography if I ever got on the show
