You guys were curious about what Jim and Cindy could have been watching that was more important to them than knowing where their children were going... They're just watching All About Eve. A little bit of the dialog can be heard at the beginning of the scene, and it's the point in the movie just before Bette Davis says, "Fasten your seat belts. It's going to be a bumpy night."
