  1. New casual part time viewer to show.

The show leaves a lot to be desired and usually lives up to it's title because it truely is 'shameless'.

And yes the jealous triangle thing was stupid. Overkill as usual.

The best character in this epi was the diner owner.

And yes that's how you have to treat an alcoholic/that is an actual belief or strategy. The alcoholic or addict hitting a rock bottom is real from what I've read, seen or observed. The alcoholic or addict has to want to stop on their own hence the motivation of a bottom. The bartender would've only enabled Fiona by letting her stay with them. Part of the bottom strategy is that the alcoholic must learn to take care of themselves including paying their own way. Favors no matter how seemingly innocent or well intended enable alcoholics and addicts. If for no other reason something like free/cheap leaves them more money to drink away.

  2. This could be simple or tricky writing when it comes to the imposter. Red seem to know his academy roomates including the Blue Bloods guy/Admiral that Red went to for a favor. So does imposter Red have a highly detailed background on the real Red? Was original Red a KGB mole all along and someone wanted the ruse to continue. Your average criminal couldn't get the detailed background on Red's life so a KGB op from the get go would be one of the few things that could account for Red's knowledge. I'm still thinking that KGB mole training camp they found on BL Redemption will have a part in the imposter reveal.

So minister D was intelligence and used his training for blackmail? And how did Red know that his ex's conversations were recorded?

  3. This is turning into The Shield. Liz is so far gone now as is Ressler. In the end they'll probably get somekind of immunity or the Reddington taskforce will remain too classified to prosecute. They minus well be another black ops division of the government. Oooops, they're supposed to bring fugitives to JUSTICE.

Yes experienced "FBI" agent Liz missed the protection detail. Didn't she do pre job surveillance or case the kidnapping victim's neighborhood or study her routine-any of which should've revealed the security.

Poor Jennifer. At first I thought she was up to something but it looks Lizzie is the bad egg that will have to be saved-by Jennifer; don't buy for a minute she's out of the game.

Also along with forensics and any camera footage won't Liz and Ressler have to account for FBI computer usage?

I figured the last scene, with the people in the park rushing to Yanek’s side and then the camera panning out, showing the tall apartment buildings and the rest of the city in the distance, was the message that the disease was going to be spread throughout the land.

Or it ends where Yanek started it all by killing Yanek 2?

The crazy story with the billing/insurance won't hold up tho. A second appendectomy charge? Hmmm

I think ER did an epi on insurance fraud. I hope it comes back to bite him. Bell fires him gets into confrontation with Conrad.

Stupid things people do in a horror movie part 1001.

  6. The epi did bring up another health care issue ie the assumption that many seniors die of old age when it's something else. Seniors are just starting to get the attention they deserve.

Setting that aside I get the impression they are setting up for a big season if not series finale.

  7. Hank acted like an actual supervisor scolding Halstead at the shootout scene. He disobeyed a direct order and almost got himself killed and/or might have helped facilitate an escape even if indirectly. Upton gave him more than enough slack. Everyone has to realize Hank and the entire unit are under extreme scrutiny. By the book.

It was kind of bs to bring in the one brother/son knowing at the time he was removed from the family business.

Not bad. Always nice to get Agent Duchamps around, she's interesting and fits in well with the team. And Admiral Kilbride is sliding right into the Granger shoes. He's a better character in two episodes than Mosely was in an entire season. I also like that he was straight with Callen about the team having a bad rep and that he (the Admiral) was sent to shut them down but is reluctant to so since they get good results.

While I'm glad to hear that Mosely is facing trouble I of course hate that Hetty is swept up in it.

And we have absolute confirmation that Eric and Nell are involved and have been for some time!

I'm also impressed that we got a whole episode about a super-exoskeleton and no one made any bad Iron Man jokes.

I agree the Admiral fits in well. Some Hedi mind games would be ok. Eric and Neal shipper soup that spoils the meal. Densi's bad enough.

Note to Kensi. The 1980s called and want their hair style back.

Yes thank you no Ironman or Borg jokes. Although being experimental gear I think they would've needed one of the engineers to tell them how it works. I don't know if the repeat offender hacker girlfriend could get it going.

  9. They'll be consequences. Some of this was future story fodder. Just like Gibbs almost got smoked for killing the cartel guy that killed his wife any agent that killed someone in Mexico would be subject to the legitimate Mexican justice system along with cartel revenge. They'll probably talk their way out of it. Kensi and Deeks could be charged for killing the civilians as could Hannah for the hospital attack although that will probably be explained away. An internal affair investigation would probably do more than a Mexican investigation.

As pointed out the writers probably used Harley as a red shirt. Her career should do well with a NCIS show on the resume. Smart, competent, by the book and loyal-can't have that silly, these characters are supposed to flawed and have demons.

I was surprised that this was only a week after the finale ended. I thought it was going to pick up months later with Edie and Jamie already married. I'm looking forward to the first time Edie sides with Danny instead of Jamie during dinner.

I got the impression this was epi filmed last season possibly ment to be the season finale. Everyone seemed to be wearing coats or jackets ie spring. I think there was a lot of seed planting for future epi's which could explain holding it. Getting revenge for losing his house would be fitting finale..  Dirty Danny might ruin the Reagan name a legacy if he keeps it up regardless of his personal connection. Jamie already faked out the family a couple of times first going to law school then still signing up for the police.

I feel like in a real Purge style situation, it would be a lot of people stealing stuff, downloading illegal movies and such, hacking, white color crimes, scientists working without having to deal with rules, people doing and selling TONS of drugs, stuff like that, not running around hacking up random people with machetes. In fact, in the last Purge movie, which is a prequel,

      Reveal hidden contents

thats more or less how the first Purge went. Lots of people stealing stuff, and having drug orgies, not killing or even really hurting people. The government had to send out mercenaries squads to actually start killing "undesirables", which is the actual reason this thing exists.

but I guess people getting killed by weirdos in masks makes for more horror.

I do like that they are getting into more aspects of The Purge (assassins who take out hits on purge night, speakeasy style places, the death cult, cheap murder TV shows), and I am still liking all the stories, and I want to see if they ever end up crossing in with each other.

Interesting to note that even Purgers respect certain rules, like not hurting the volunteer medics, and more organized activities also exist like the Gauntlet (complete with hashtags!) and the death bus. Like the history teacher/purge medic said, as much as Purgers love to wax on about freedom, even with no rules, certain unwritten rules will just happen naturally.

I think that's what executive lady might be up to along with a side of murder to cover her scheme. But yes it's not all about murder and mayhem if all crime is legal any building with cash and drugs would be a huge target. As would weapons and explosives storage, Maybe can't use them but is there a purge law against stealing them?

Were the nuns in other purge movies, I haven't seen all of them yet. I like the glow in the dark trim effect. Was the brother and sister's parents killed by the businessman at the party? He apparently made a deal involving real estate. Were the parents killed or purged for eviction purposes?

By the end of series you figure the ex cop will provide a little more assistance.

  12. Wasn't Parminder Nagra's character on the Blacklist also a federal agent? Same character without the accent. That's the thing her American accent is phony it sounds too cliche and seems like she has to speak in a different tone and has some issue with s's-eh I'm prejudiced by her natural speaking voice which is fine by me.

And yes how will he everyone weasel out of their precarious positions and issue's next year. Corrupt cop wins again.

When things blow up in Franklin's face, which they will eventually, even if takes multiple seasons, what is going to happen to his mother's house? I know it's in her name, but he paid off the mortgage. Does that have any possible long term consequences?

I think the crack wars of the 80s led to seizures or confiscation laws which ironically many want reversed.

Since this is the story of the rise of crack even though it shows how the recipe could've spread there is still plenty of story to tell include Franklin' entire "career", Lucia could become the cocaine grand mother I think she was called in Miami. Still have Iran Contra. Previews show the DEA lady as a potential CIA player but could be a misdirect and she does something stupid. I was hoping Franklin's colleague wouldn't die and was in witness protection. Matt could wind up with re-occuring addiction issues.-was stunned he didn't od or have a heart attack.

    Almost forgot. RIP Gustavo.

    Wow, so much to unpack.

Lucy's death seemed very random. Smurf spent most of the episode trying to learn whether J or Morgan ripped her off. And yet in the midst of this, she stops by Pete's place and says "oh by the way here's an envelope of cash, please go kill Lucy." Way to multi-task!

It must have been Smurf who told Pete that Mia was seeing J. I don't know how Smurf knew who Mia was though. She wasn't wearing a name tag or anything but the way Smurf was staring daggers at her made it obvious she knew who she was.

I'm 99% certain Smurf knows it was J who stole her properties. Is she playing a long game with him, or is she genuinely proud of his accomplishment? After all, he won't be able to do it again since he no longer has her power of attorney, and she gave him a whole bunch more of her properties when she was divvying them up between her boys.

Taken all together, I think there might be some merit to the theory posted above that Smurf had Lucy killed so she can pin it on J.

I don't understand what happened with Frankie - did she leave Craig to take the fall? I guess it's supposed to be a cliff-hanger.

Frankly, I think the show did a half-assed job of forcing Dichen Lachman into the show. TV keeps trying to make this actress happen, she's been all over the place. Some casting agent really has the hots for her. If she's a skilled enough con artist to pull off a heist like this there's no reason for her to tag along with a junkie like Billy. She sure as hell didn't need him to infiltrate the Cody gang. Craig will sleep with anyone.

I'm just barely tolerating Mia because she's slightly less annoying than Nicky (although maybe less sympathetic). I don't want her to become "a thing." Adding spider neck to her story isn't going to endear her to me any further, it's just going to annoy me that they waste too much space on her.

It's a damn shame this show doesn't get more attention because Shawn Hatosy would be up for an Emmy right now.

Frankie aka Dichen Lachman. I wonder too about the number of shows she pops up on. Either she and her agent can't pick a winner or she likes part-time type roles. I also wonder about her health sometimes. Hate to bring it up but a few epis he arms looked like sticks so is that somekind of weight obsession or drugs. (Was she Bennie I think it was on the show about the retired secret service agent couple?) I like the actress and want to see her acting more in more prominent roles but it just doesn't seem to happen. I'm still going with undercover cop or informant because I find it no coincidence she shows up when the Smurf crew is under intense scrutiny, she was in by the time Smurf got out which could've been the plan-have someone in place by the time she gets out. Her fondness of Smurf stated this last epi has me wonder if Smurf is her actual target.

Smurf knows  of J's and Mia's relationship. I don't know if she's setting up J though. Smurf would exploit that always keeping J in the dark looking over his shoulder. Manipulation is her thing.  I think Lucy's family might find a tape of the conversation of Lucy and Smurf at the bus terminal where Smurf says she killed Baz. Lucy's cartel staff and friends would probably act on that as much as anything along with revenge for Lucy's brother.

Mia told Spider that J was someone she was working.  Does she have a larger plan or was that just a stalling tactic?  In any case, I think there's a real chance Mia's next killing/attempt is going to be J, because Smurf knows he stole from her, and she probably really suspects he killed Morgan.  On the other other hand, maybe Lucy's kid can give a good description of those two when the rest of Lucy's cartel finds out about the killings.  Then it's on for Pete and Mia, because I bet they'll be able to figure it out.

Unfortunately (in real life, anyway), the notary's heavy book would not burn up in that little fire.  It would char, but you could still get info from some of the pages.  I wonder if that will be a plot point next season.

Frankie wrote "Keys in car.  Don't worry. I wash you off."

Who was the woman that Pope met?  She knew him, so it wasn't the foster mom, I hope.  Pope had blood on his hand when he showed up at her house, so he got it at the accident site.  I hope it was just from the tire iron, and no harm came to the other woman.  That guy is just plain broke, and there isn't any fixing him.

The surfboard.  Was it cocaine, or some other drug, baked into the board?  I don't think Adrian will take this one for Deran.  Heads will roll.

I think Mia was stalling. She surprised when the guy got out of prison and obviously likes J. Jealous boyfriend showdown to come at the worst time.

Killing Lucy infront of her kid/any kid not cool. I hope that does come back to bite Smurf, Mia and psycho female dog gangster. For a drug gang that bought an estate you would figure there security would be state of the art and have roaming guards. I think showing Mia's back tats were to remind the audience that she was/is gangster. Lucy probably recorded Smurf saying she killed Baz. That recording will probably surface sometime soon.

The woman Pope went to was his ex he met during a church robbery. Hope he didn't kill her. I don't think they would bring the actress back for that single scene.

Last week when the surfer guy commented how heavy the bag/board was you knew he was going to get caught. Was he turned in or just reckless wanting the money?

Still thinking Frankie might be an undercover cop trying to get something on the entire Smurf gang, especially Smurf.

Toughest scene to watch was with Ox's mom.

Just a note. Don't really need to bother with fake sex in most shows, it's usually time filler that could be used for more story. Don't need to see people going to the bathroom or extend a scene showing bare butt either.

They way everyone betrayed Chuck for Jeffcoat, even though they know Jeffcoat is a corrupt asshat, makes me wonder if they are part of  longer game by Chuck.

Chuck didn't seem upset enough losing his job. Remember how the juice thing played out.

If they are still allies, he has them positioned where he needs them, including in Washington at Justice.

This, there was some mumbling or speaking in low tones in the beginning of the epi where Chuck met with Epstein to sign the form for the investigation/grand jury I think. Both Chuck and Axe read people pretty good and can profile their counter moves. Here I think Chuck and Axe will exploit the situation rather than plan it.

Also Brian was a little ruffled when Sacker told him the AG wanted to pursue the case he didn't want to prosecute. Looked like he was going to back off Chuck. They're probably planning something as well.

Axe has a tougher situation because he not only has to keep people & himself out of legal trouble he has to keep them alive, safe from the Russian. I don't want to see this turn into full fledged gangster war with murder, torture etc. I understand evil Russian but as other's have mentioned Malkovich's version isn't cutting it for me as well. I think he pissed Axe's fixer off. Hope he doesn't become a red shirt here.

In order for Axe and Chuck to get out of their current situations they will have to profile and anticipate people's behavior more than ever.

Just a thought. When Chuck and Axe held their first meeting /save Wendy's butt I think his apartment tour included planting bugs, camera's etc. They could bring something like that into play if Chuck in monitoring and finds the Russian upto to something.

If the doctor commits suicide, I’m going to get very upset.

I hate when shows try to write off a characters fate as cosmic justice or karma for something other than the actual event/justice they deserve.

As sick as the cancer guy was he had already made up his mind to leave his partner and kids with 40 million. I don't think he would've jeopardized that. True the doctor probably should have presented it as an option but then again it was experimental. Many doctors let the patient escalate and/or broaden their treatment options. The doctor should been forced to face a medical board before the interrogation room. They could've left that as a threat for several more epi's if not seasons.

Also was that treatment from the same pharma company that Axe lost money on?

  18. I think J was ambivilent about killing Morgan that's why 'a' chance to swim back. J in charge of the money made him realize how much work being in charge is but he also realized how much power came with it although he didn't fully exercise it in Smurf's absence.  He took his own bonus for handling Smurf's affairs. it is Animal Kingdom after all so survival of the fitness and most aggressive frequently wins. Pope is the only patient predator among them.

To get all conspiratorial is Frankie an undercover strategically placed with Smurf's ex? The arrival of the ex & Frankie just by coincidence happened and seemingly during/after Smurf's jail time. Frankie was in the house by the time Smurf got home. She was literally and figuratively 'in'. The detective went after Smurf and the boys hard early in the season. either trying to rattle them or get just one to flip on Smurf.

  19. Deals and favors. I forget, how did Rob Morrow the now judge help Chuck again. When he came back to Chuck to collect his favor to stay AG in that district THIS is the real political muck. Politics is about favors, they call it compromise, consensus but it is these unofficial deals.  The judge is sort of unrealistic asking Chuck to cover his butt for potentially his entire career. These unofficial 'deals' run the corporate world as well with many of those advancing with similar stuff. Not everyone makes them but enough do to change the nature of the game.

  21. It's one thing to show corrupt cops but the entire all powerful all seeing intelligence unit? This is a local police department, not the NSA. Setting that aside the IA mole is more believable. Disappointment they used violence against uninvolved fellow law enforcement officers during the breakout/escape plan. Can't worry about Woz's unit fate but that of the witnesses, bystanders and family. Finally Harlee's stalker is gone.

If Woz lives and loose ends are wrapped up the visions of his daughter might go away if he turns a new leaf. If he goes back to his old ways in a theoretical future of the show she should appear everytime he goes to the darkside.

I don't think Christina's character is as bad as many think but the actress and characters seemed to have improved a little.

I don't if Tess will rat but I don't think she'll turn a new leaf either. Work her way in to find the I unit's stash of money then out?

  22. Who is more trouble now after the bad deal/shootout? Outed undercover agent or Pedro for bringing her in? (Was Pedro caught and turned during his disappearance?) Lucia will have to answer up but who with in her 'crew' is in the most poop right now.

I remember seeing muscle memory in fitness literature for years but in the early 80s?

  23. I am a new binge viewer too. Pardon if I get my epi's mixed up.

I was thinking about the slides as well. Wasn't the original in a small hazmat bag with a red stripe. I didn't see that other than in a flashback at the office. Was it intentional that the doctor who said he wanted nothing all of the sudden jump to 200 million to signal Axe? Or it shows he can be bought?

There is/has been a lot of unethical/illegal poop going on the part of the prosecution which goes on in real life and show but a gasket blower for me was Sacker back dating her notes in front of the other staffer. Was she signaling Brian or going to the dark side?

Yeh, Axe would have that apartment wired except for a safe room for the shady stuff.

The FBI security question in front of lawyer made me cringe even in that show.

    The pair of fixers-creepy.

The weasel compliance guy doesn't care about past rape allegations anymore? Did he learn to 'hedge' from his new employer-pay off or worse?

People speculate on what Axe knows about Chuck's apartment tour but what did Wendy & Axe discuss in his absence?

Carrie, you're supposedly a successful CIA Operative who's been in some pretty tight spots - so how come you can't talk your way out of getting booked by the cops? And even if you couldn't why didn't you call the FBI(?) guy - he knew exactly what you were doing there and would presumably do just the same as he did here, with considerably less Carrie angst (then again, gotta fill those 60 minutes!).

And on the subject of Carrie angst, just what did happen with Frannie? Is she still sitting on the curb outside the school? OK, I presume her sister picked her up, but it would be nice if she called to check!

You do start to wonder if the Military-Industrial Complex (to use an old term) really exist as a government in their own right (in Homeland world, at least) that just tolerate the existence of a civilian President. Otherwise, you'd think that faction would have been hammered by President Keane's purge. And what about her Chief of Staff? Is there nobody the President can trust?

ITA obviously, but what are the militia guys trying to achieve? "We can call in reinforcements" - you do realise the US government can too? Unless they think that the FBI/US army will mutiny rather than attack (which in Homeland is not impossible). They don't strike me as the type that are prepared to martyr themselves "for the cause", though it's always possible.

Can't talk yourself out of being booked by cops-in the US. It's almost an underlying theme that dealing with your own is just as hard as anyone else. Unlike many of the foreign countries she goes to where procedure is easily and purposely over looked it doesn't work that way in the US even though there are plenty of corrupt law enforcement officials. Also in the DC area or neighborhood with known high ranking officials the police probably pay extra attention. I don't know wether it's on purpose or not but Quinn also got caught when he entered the Iranian's murdered wife house as well.

When Dar said there was something off about the Keene at the end of S6 I thought they would run with that a little more. Instead they're using the chief of staff as the scape goat or cop out.
