  1. Brooke is my girl too annsterg, and I won't deny that I felt this way for a long time, but I don't anymore. In my eyes, the writers have done a good job creating a complex situation, starting with Ridge turning away from Brooke, which has set the tone of the SL. Ridge and Katie have both behaved abominably towards not only Brooke, but their families at large. I know two wrongs don't make a right, but I don't think giving Bill the papers is wrong. If I believed for one minute that Brooke was acting out of spite, that would be different, but I know the Brooke character, and she is not spiteful or malicious. If she does give Bill the papers, which I am not sure she will, because spoilers say, , but ultimately, I think we know where this is going, I will be ok with it. You bet I will love to see Katie hit the ground, but it is more than that. On the whole it is the right thing to do, unfortunately, it was achieved in the most vile way, but Bill deserves to see his son and Katie is destroying SP's. I think that is what bothers me the most. Katie is playing with all their employee's livelihoods and their security. I may be a little overly sensitive about it because I have lost two positions through takeovers, and I know how it feels. I do believe Brooke giving Bill those papers will be a death knell for her and Katie's relationship. And I have no doubt Katie will feel even more superior. So be it. That's what happens when the little kids want to play with the big kids. What is going on with Oliver? Is he bad or is he good? I wasn't watching when he was first introduced, but the character has grown on me, and I will be disappointed if they turn him into a creep. I think a A/O romance could be cute and kind of refreshing. Who knows, it could go a long way into helping Ally. Bingo! No doubt Ally will get her hands on Maya's phone somehow, maybe she will pick it up accidentally, or maybe Maya will unthinkingly (or on purpose) ask Ally to get the phone or see if there are messages or something. Or, maybe Maya will realize that she really does like Oliver, and will corner him, and Ally will come along and see/hear them. I can see her taking Maya's phone to see if they are texting or calling each other. It will happen one way or the other, because that is pure soap gold.
  2. A little slice of humanity from Quinn today; I hope we see more of that because I really like Rena Sofer. I think she is fabulous; talented and beautiful, and I am afraid that if they keep her completely off the rails that she will disappear like most soap villians. Poor Donna, perpetually stuck in the middle. I have never been a big fan of Jennifer Gareis, I couldn't stand her as Grace on Y&R, but I think she has come into her own as Donna, and has molded the character to fit her style. I often find myself feeling sorry for her, and wish Eric would make her happy. Donna's reactions showed that she saw the truth in Brooke's words. She looked genuinely surprised and a little taken aback. It was kind of priceless though, when Donna caught Katie in her lie, but that is all it takes with Katie. Just get her a little rattled and she starts getting agitated, and starts talking loud and over everyone, lets her rampant emotions take over, and BOOM, she trips herself up. She was instantly incensed that Donna didn't agree with her about Brooke, and let loose with one of her smartass remarks, "why don't we just start making a list about who is angrier?". Donna didn't miss a beat when she came back with "your angry, I thought you had Ridge and were happy?" I feel like I have been watching a different show as I listen to Katie blather; just one blatent lie after the other. I could not believe my ears today when Katie was going on about how "everytime Brooke and I are together I think things are going to be different, that Brooke is going to want to try to work this out". Whaaaa? Katie has been cantering all over LA badmouthing Brooke to anyone who will listen. She has barged into Brooke's bedroom and harassed her, has charged into Eric's office to tell him how to run his company, and has flat out lied to both Karen and Donna. Katie has been on the attack for weeks, and has said unforgivable things to Brooke. All these accusations Katie is spewing sound and feel like sour grapes to me, and they seem driven by insecurity and jealousy since none of this stuff has surfaced before. Katie should consider herself lucky that she has never had to deal with Brooke's charm, and the magic it has over men. I think if Katie had handled herself differently she wouldn't have to start dealing with it at present. Unfortunately for her though, I think Brooke is gonna bring it now. I remain convinced that something is going on with the Brooke character. There is definetly something different about her, very subtle, but still noticable. I just can't quite put my finger on it.
  3. Good point annsterg; the argument could be made that Brooke is doing this out of spite, but knowing the character I would never believe that. Brooke does things out of love; she loves Bill and knows how unhappy he is with the situation at SP's. So, in this instance, I see it as Brooke going to bat for Bill and not stabbing at Katie. I believe Karen will turn Brooke down for several reasons; she has never been Brooke's friend, but she is apparently very tight with Katie, and, for what ever reason, Karen is gunning for her brother. I was glad to at least hear Karen acknowledge how supportive Bill was when she came out. The main reason I think Karen will turn Brooke down is to force Brooke's hand, and propel her to give Bill those papers. Something Brooke would have already done if she was behaving the way Katie painted it to Karen, but as I have said before, Brooke has not historically been a vindictive person, and has done very few things out of spite. Anything she did out of spite in regards to Stephanie is A OK in my book. And Katie, once again showing how green she is when it comes to business. Apparently Katie doesn't understand that the CEO is answerable to those with a vested interest in the business; namely Justin. Also, when the new, part time CEO holds a quarterly meeting to discuss the company's flatlining profits, they are prepared to discuss what is happening, how it happened, and their plans to right the ship. What they don't do is lecture the offended party, or the person with a vested interest in the business, about the state of the economy, and how they must have missed the recession. They also don't engage in juvenlie behavior like giving Justin your high school death glare. Agree on all points; B&B has never done business right.
  4. It was rich watching Quinn get upset about Liam interfering; maybe now that you know how it feels you will think next time before YOU DO THE EXACT SAME THING QUINN. And I want to give props to Wyatt for handling the whole thing like an adult, although he was a bit bossy with Hope, but I put that down to anger. I like how he just asked for his keys, made a remark or two and left. I also like how he told his mother to stay out of it, and I hope he calls her on not doing as he asked. I am not sure how I feel about this SL, I am unable to decide if I am invested or not. I like all these players so much better when they are not interacting with each other, but I do like Hope and Wyatt, and I like how they are allowing them to take it slow. They are even allowing them to have some semblance of a normal courtship without a lot of talk about rushing to the alter. Why do they keep having these unfinished conversations between Katie and Brooke? Twice now these two have been in the throes of a heated discussion, well maybe not a discussion, more of a tongue lashing being given by Katie. The last conversion ended without Brooke responding, and so did this one. And I see they continue to build the disparity between the "good" sister and the "bad" sister. Brooke was handling the fallout of Katie's tirade like an adult, calmly and truthfully, telling Donna that Katie is on a power trip. And even after the way Katie behaved to Eric and Brooke, she still stated that she wants to try and patch things up with Katie. Cut over to SP's. I laughed out loud with the look Katie shot Justin. Just another sign of Katie's immaturity and lack of business experience and acumen. Maybe she has it confused with home, but the business world is not all sunshine and roses, and you don't engage in warm and fuzzy chats. In the business world those in charge are answerable to those with a vested interest in the business; namely Justin. Giving Justin your high school death glare isn't helping your cause any. And generally, when the new, part time CEO holds a quarterly meeting to discuss the flatlining profits, they go out of their way to explain how it happened, and the actions they have been taking to stop the bleeding. What they don't do, is start lecturing the offended person who has a vested interest in the business, about the state of the economy, because it must have escaped their attention. Now I can add another trait that I hate to Katie's ever growing list; LIAR. I fairly nearly choked when Katie told Karen that Brooke and Bill won't let it be, and want to keep the "feud" going. Granted, Bill did go tearing over to see Ridge, and that was out of line. The sad thing is, Bill was only trying to help the dolt out, and only spoke the truth. But please tell me what Brooke has done? I have watched every episode and I don't recall those interactions. What I do recall is you Katie, riding your high horse all over town, spouting about your happiness. And Ridge's happiness. And Brooke's badness. Funny thing is, Brooke wasn't bad when you were riding her coattails as a teenager, and even into young womanhood. Brooke wasn't bad as she furnished you with a nice lifestyle that all came from her business sense, and her success at Forrester Creation's. You know, the place you said Brooke didn't belong. Brooke wasn't bad when she supported you with Bill, even though she didn't like him, and everyone else was against it. Brooke wasn't bad as she helped you recover from your heart surgery. Nope, seems like Brooke only became bad after Bill fell in love with her. Sorry Katie, but you did that to yourself. No one, man or woman, can live in a loveless marraige. No matter what Bill tried, you just would not be a wife to him. Instead, you wanted to fold clothes and smother Will. Add in the rules and restrictions, and Bill felt more like a prisoner than a husband. And at the core of it all, I think that is what is burning Katie alive. She knows she drove Bill away, she knows how her wedding vows went; remember those Katie? To take Bill as he was and never try to change him? In your heart you know you fucked up, and you are spitting mad that Brooke is able to make Bill happy. And she does it without even trying.
  5. Yes, I forgot to mention that; drama free? Katie? Oh, Katie may be drama free in the "public scandal" department, or the whole using your sexuality thing, but most of the things that Ridge is claiming to not want, are the things he has always loved about Brooke. What he has done is trade one type of drama for another. Bill tried to warn him about what he was getting into, but Ridge knows Katie better than anyone now, and he knows, he just KNOWS, that Katie isn't like that at all. She is sweet, and innocent, and far superior to Brooke in the morals and ethics department. Let's see if he still feels that way after Katie's insecurities get the best of her and she starts ranting and having hysterics, and giving ultimatums or disappearing for days or weeks; and don't let me hear her pull the PPD card this time. When you think about it, Ridge has already had a taste of it with Kaite's fake fainting shenanigan, but I guess he is ok with that because it was really all about him, and Katie's great love for him. No matter that it caused a lot of unnecessary worry for her family, and what a way to repay Brooke for her loyalty and for her doing the right thing by Katie, Bitch. I forgot this as well. I won't take away from Katie being a mom, but as far as a CEO? I think what bothers me the most about Katie's claims of being this and that, is that she is not very good at any of it. Frankly, I think she likes to play house, and CEO, and the woman who has it all. As I said, I won't take away from her being a mom, but she is not thinking in the best interest of Will by denying Bill visitation; she is thinking of how best to make him pay for falling in love with Brooke. When Brooke took FC's from the Forrester's, she had a damn good reason, and was perfectly justified, as she had worked there for some time and had already been a contributing member of the company. I was glad to hear Brooke point that out to Katie, although Katie didn't seem all that receptive, but the truth and all.......What Katie did to Bill in regards to SP's was just ridiculous, and now the company is in trouble. I too hope Brooke steps in to assist Bill in righting the ship; I am starved for a good company/buisness/takeover SL, because Katie and Karen stealing SP's just didn't do it for me. Another thing I forgot was Katie's remark to Brooke about her having a "selective memory". No Katie, you are the one who is rewriting everything, how else can she play the victim to Ridge? Sure, Brooke and Bill may have behaved badly, although I would only say that up till the "Ring Removal Boink". After that they did the right thing and called a halt to their relationship out of love and concern for Katie, who then betrayed them both by installing surveillance cameras. It was that action that drove Bill to make his final and permanent decision to end his marriage. After that, I have no problem with anything that happened between B/B. So Katie, go suck some more lemons with your revisionist history of Brooke stealing your husband. Oh, and before I forget, NO ONE can be stolen. You were not making Bill happy, you were not being a good wife, you DROVE the man away sweetie. Go tell Ridge about that. Oh, I think Brooke will do just that. And it will drive Ridge crazy and will make Katie's head explode. She is not happy or secure with Ridge, and seeing Brooke and Bill getting on with their lives, loving each other, and being happy will be her and Ridge's undoing, because Katie's goal is not to be with Ridge, but to make Brooke pay for Bill loving her. I always felt HT was way overrated on Y&R; it is funny, but all I can remember is her constant blubbering, and Mr. RunthTable's remarks about "they must pay that girl to cry, because that is all she does!"
  6. Wyatt had me cracking up today; the expressions on his face when he realized his Silver Bullet had been "stolen", and then when he saw Hope. Darin Brooks does comedy so much better than the whole romantic, leading man thing. Non of this bodes well for Wyatt though; I just don't know what to make of any of it. As I grew more and more irate with Katie today, I suddenly saw what they were going for. Katie is letting years of anger and frustration out, and that is ok, except she is striking at the wrong target. Brooke is not responsible for Katie's "issues", that is entirely on Katie herself. I really dislike it when people bring up history and act like something bothered them, or they had a problem with something someone did, but at the time they were all supportive. Katie brought out the oversized piping bag today, because she was layering it on THICK. I am glad Brooke didn't rise to her bait; that is what Katie wants, for Brooke to lose it. To start crying and beg Katie to forgive her, and let's get back on track. Huh Huh Katie, I think those days are over. Not only have you turned on Brooke, you have turned on her children by supporting Ridge in his endeavours to unseat Rick and slow down HFTF. As a heart transplant recipient, you turned on your family and friends at large by faking a medical condition that did not exsist. You have turned on your nephew RJ, by trying to pry him away from his mother in an obvious attempt to cement your position with Ridge, regardless of the fallout for RJ. You have turned on your son by not allowing him to see his father. You have turned on untold employee's of Spencer Publication's by allowing their company to tank in order to extract your pound of flesh from Bill. At the end of the day, there is not a whole lot to like about you Katie. Throw in your superior manner, your snarky, smartelic delivery, and I'd say you are about as comtemptable a character as B&B has had in a long time. Having said all that, let me also say that I love it. I love this disparity they are creating between the "good" and the "bad" sister. Brooke hasn't had a good nemesis in a while, and if one thing gets Brooke's motor going, it is someone messing with her life, or her kids, or her man. Need I say Stephanie and Taylor? Clearly, Katie doesn't know who she is dealing with. Brooke has never been malicious, and I can only think of a handful of times when she purposly went out of her way to hurt someone. Considering all the things she has been accused of over the years, that is pretty amazing. And Brooke is not really acting like her normal self; I can't quite put my finger on it, but something is different. In any event, they certainly have my attention.
  7. Both of these comments are spot on. Katie needs to heed the old addage that "one doth protest too much". If you want to prove to everyone that you and Ridge are a love match, one that is solid and cannot be touched, then go on about you business and stop running all over town telling people how happy you and Ridge are. Showing them will go a lot further. And really, for someone who is so happy, Katie looks miserable all the time. I caught this too, and I have no doubt it is by design. Katie and Ridge are being written in a very "dark" vein, and their relationship feels heavy and clunky; not at all natural. Brooke and Bill on the other hand really seem deliriously happy, and I have noticed their scenes are filmed in bright "sunlight", and their dialog is light and fresh. Personally, I love them together. Bill is a creep, but I like him with Brooke. The fact that both of them are gorgeous doesn't hurt either. Laughed out loud over that one! Hopefully Brooke will point this out to him, since he was quick to accuse her and Eric of nepotisim in regards to Rick. I think Brooke and Bill's happiness will go futher in tearing Ridge and Katie apart than anything else. Ridge will be beside himself to see Brooke smiling and loving life with Bill; Ridge's agitation will drive Katie's insecurities to the brink. Katie will be upset because she wants to see Brooke alone and suffering as continued payback for Bill falling in love with her. She will not be able to accept that even though it may have been wrong; Brooke and Bill's feelings are real, and her and Ridge's relationship is built on the anger and hurt that caused both of them. Katie also has to now deal with how hard it must have been for Brooke and Bill to deny their feelings for so long, given that she fell in love with Ridge overnight, not over several months, and barely made any effort to fight those feelings.
  8. So what was the point of the baby scare? I think the permanency of a pregnancy scared Hope, and maybe she realized that she is not as over Liam as she thought. Or, maybe it was designed to scare Liam to death. I get that you are new to this game Liam, but really dude, you could have hurt Hope. And you do understand that you just committed auto theft. I am surprised that Katie opened her can of snark on Eric, but he handled it well, and was trying to make her understand that she is but one in a long line of "other" women. Katie doesn't seem to understand that Eric has heard all this before, many times, from women, no offense to Katie, but women who are/were much more accomplished and beautiful. Katie was out of line though; it is Eric's company, he can do what he chooses with it's executive staff. Brooke never behaved this way when she was will Bill. Katie is running around town attacking everyone; charging into Brooke's bedroom and Eric's office. Does Katie really think she is going to win her argument when it is laced with sarcasm and snideness and delivered with her ever present smirk? I am glad Brooke overheard that today; Brooke never interfered with Katie and Bill and SP's, even though she felt strongly that Katie was wrong. Now Brooke overhears Katie demanding Eric run his company the way Katie wants? Brooke is perfectly capable of running FC's in any capacity, Katie knows that; this is her insecurities talking. The one place Brooke has always shown the brightest is FC's. Best line of the day: Katie, "I am not going to apologize for my feelings". Wow. After you made Brooke pay for her feelings for nearly a year. Second best line of the day: Katie, "I tried to fight my feelings". For about a day. Brooke and Bill fought their feelings for months. And even after giving in, they stopped after Katie's heart scare, and would have stayed apart if Katie hadn't pulled Spycamgate. Katie OTOH, stayed away from Ridge for a day, then fake fainted on his wedding day. Katie is behaving badly on all fronts, and is piling on the offences. If her goal is to generate support for her and Ridge, then she needs to rethink her methods. KKL and DD totally sold me today.
  9. ariesman3, that is a brillant summation of what is wrong with the Ridge character. TK has been put in a tough spot; he does seem to have much better acting chops than RM, but the character is be written in a totally foreign way. Ridge seems like a stand alone character instead of the central leading man for nearly thirty years. This does sound familiar, but I think it might of been solely on Deacon's part. I might have to do some youtubing. Those spoilers St3phForrester! Co-signing. I thought she did a great job. What most impressed me was the fact that even though Hope wouldn't have to worry about anything; the father of the child adores her, she has a loving family that is filthy rich, she made it about her and what she wanted for her future. I admire people who can admit they are not ready for parenthood. In general though, I think KM has been doing some really good work and I think having her turn up pregnant will stunt the characters growth. Part of me is wondering if some of her anxiety is coming from the knowledge that this would be Bill's grandchild.... I read this too, I also read that KKL was against it. Just goes to show how false those rumors are about KKL being shown favoritism, although I think she is well liked and respected, as any long term employee should be. At the end of the day though, I think KKL did a wonderful job with the whole thing, and was never given proper credit. There are not many actors who can carry a SL like that, and come out on the other side with their head held high, but she managed to do that. KKL has always been underestimated; if you go back and watch the character from day one to now, you can see the subtle things that KKL has done to define the character, and how she has grown, not only as an actress but into the Brooke role. Some people say she isn't acting, but I disagree. KKL is so natural in the Brooke character now that she seems like she isn't acting; for me, that is the sign of a good actor. And I couldn't agree more about the white hot chemistry between Brooke and Deacon.
  10. I was wondering about this as well; it really wasn't her news to tell, but Bill's. What I got from that was Hope was scared, and confused, and went to someone who made her feel safe. If I were Wyatt, I would be very, very concerned. It apparently skipped his attention that Hope went to see Liam before coming to him. Even if he buys the story about Hope wanting to tell Liam about Bill and Brooke; he is Bill's son too, and he is also the son that is currentlly in a relationship with Hope. So why didn't she go to Wyatt first? Why go to Liam at all? She could just as easily called or texted him. I know it is ridiculous to keep hoping, but Brooke's words to Rick today picked my spirits up a lot. I was glad to hear Rick reinforce what Brooke was saying. More than that, I am beyond exciting that so far everyone seems ok with B/B. Hope wasn't overjoyed, but she was also distracted. Something tells me that after Ridge's performance in the office the other day, which really was an attack on her and Rick, coupled with him leaving Brooke for Katie the day after his aborted wedding, will go a long way into changing Hope's feelings about B/B. Eric is going to be upset, but not because it's Bill, it could be anyone; Eric is convinced that Brooke and Ridge belong together. I remain shocked that he was willing to barter FC's in an effort to reunite them. But I don't believe for one minute that Eric will be raving mad about it or anything; he knows that Brooke had pretty strong feelings for Bill, and all he has ever wanted for Brooke was for her to be happy. She looked pretty darn happy to me today. If everyone excepts B/B, Katie will be in a perpetual state of sour lemon lips. Color me shocked with Quinn's request. If she is on the up and up, I will have no choice but to be impressed. She could be playing at something here though; Wyatt becoming an offical Spencer might be benefical down the road. I still think (hope) those papers are going to come into play. There is a reason Katie made Liam VP out of the blue like that too. I also believe they are letting any chance of a Q/B relationship die because spoilers say,
  11. Oh, I think Ridge has engaged in a steady stream of Brooke bashing since his return; this is also a new element of the Ridge character. Historically, Ridge has defended Brooke for whatever crime she was supposed to have committed; I can hear Ronn Moss growling as clear as day "Oh Mother!". Even with Taylor he defended Brooke, so this new bent of Ridge's to malign her is jarring to say the least. Not only is he cutting her character to shreds, he is doing it gleefully. When I listen to Ridge and Katie bash Brooke I feel like I am watching to teenage girls ragging on a classmate. OMG! I hadn't even thought of this. I had read spoilers that she was going to ask Bill for somethiing to maintain her silence, but I was thinking it was going to be something about getting Brooke to be QA's champion at FC's, or keeping Liam away from Hope. I never considered Bill's 12.5%. And that would be just like Quinn, she is many things, but I think ambitious is tops on that list. She would walk barefoot on broken glass to get a piece of FC's. Reno Sofer looked absolutely smashing today. Liam and Bill! These two could carry the show on their own. The expressions on Liam's face after Quinn arrived had me laughing out loud. I am surprised Hope and Wyatt haven't been using some sort of protection. If you don't want to wind up pregnant; that is not the most logical choice. Of course Hope may just be late, but I would hope this is a wake up call about the realities of having sex. That made me snort like a pig.
  12. Well, the gloves are off now! As much as I agree with what Bill had to say, I just didn't like those scenes. It made Bill look really bad, and Ridge the better person. Even so, Bill told some long overdue truths, not the least of which is Ridge finally getting the brass ring by having had all the Logan sisters. I like it that Ridge wasn't taking Bill seriously about Katie's tantrums, and ultimatums, her inability to deal with issues, and her desire to restrict her better halfs activities. Dollars to donuts, the first time Katie misinterprets something she is told, or overhears, or sees, she is going to be ranting to Brooke that she can have Ridge and that they belong together, and blah, blah, blah. Then she will take off, and will be MIA for weeks, or she will have another heart scare. Katie needs to watch herself; her unrelenting bitterness, and shrewish behavior will eventually have an adverse effect. Katie is so out of her element here; she is simply not in Brooke's league. When you consider the women Brooke has done battle with over the years, and generally come out the victor; Stephanie, Taylor, Macy, Ashley, Sally, Sheila, Morgan, even little Kimberly, and then you consider Katie? Humph! Little sis better watch her step. When Brooke finds out that Katie is trying to direct and interfere with RJ's life? Brooke knows that Katie is more than willing to play the "best for the children" card, and that she is not above using their kids as weapons. I don't think we have heard what the official arrangement is between Brooke and Ridge regarding RJ, but if Brooke has custody, I don't see that being taken away. Of course, Ridge could plead the case that he doesn't want "Bill Spencer the Despicable Human Being" near his son, or that Brooke slept with her brother-in-law. That could backfire though considering he disappeared for a year, came home and was on the verge of marrying one sister, before going to bed with another sister the next day. What I think is going to happen is Ridge is going to somehow be involved with Deacon's return. And if I abhor him now, I will truely detest him then, because that will not only effect Brooke, but Hope, Eric, Rick, and Donna. And it rightfully should effect Katie, but it appears her loyalties have changed. Did Thorne fly in to pay his troubled daughter a one hour visit? WTF?
  13. Ridge is already pulling the RJ card? For goodness sakes, what does he think Bill is going to do to the boy? At the end of the day, Bill may be a rotten person, but he has never done one thing to any of his kids to suggest he would want to hurt RJ. I was so annoyed with Katie's lame, "Bill isn't a complete monster", as a sort of defense for him in regards to kids. Katie knows how Bill has changed, she also knows that Will weighed heavily on him during what transpired between them. But of course she isn't going to offer that knowledge up to Ridge; she wants Ridge to maintain his low opinion of Bill, and by extension his low opinion of Brooke and their relationship. Katie just doesn't get it, her and Ridge's romance is going to be much harder for the families to accept than Brooke and Bill. I think most everyone sees the grossness in Ridge banging what has essentially been his kid sister her whole life; I would also suspect they know what Katie and Bill's relationship is founded and built on. Katie may be right wanting to live in a cocoon. And did this twit really say that she is has scandal armor or something like that because of being Brooke's sister and Bill's soon to be ex-wife? Bitch! Of course there was no scandal when you let yourself get impregnated by your niece's man. And what was with this stuff about not understanding why Eric would do this to her because he has always liked her. He does like you idiot, but he sees the insantiy of what you and Ridge are doing. I don't think I am happy about Brooke calling Katie. What was that about? Did she think Katie was going to be jealous? Or was she trying to prove the point that she has moved on, so her job at FC's is not about being near Ridge? Just very odd, and the look on her face at the end? I am nervous now that this is the same ole same ole, and Bill is going to be Brooke's latest throw away romance in the name of Bridge. As I was watching Ally and Oliver today, I was seeing visions of Bridget and Deacon.
  14. I have never thought about this, but it does have merit. My thoughts have been that they left out Darla's body because this is not a sentimental reunion between mommy and daughter, but a manifestation of Ally's crazy, and her impression that her mother was a saint; hence the "glow" around Darla's head. And the Floating Darla Head of Wisdom, does not dish out the best advise when you consider that her words feed, and play right into, Ally's delusions. I don't find it touching or sweet; I find it totally creepy. It did feel a little like old times yesterday, and it continued when Ridge was telling Katie that "I am where I want to be". Unfortunately for Katie, what she doesn't know is Ridge has always qualified that statement with "for now". And I think the questions that is begging to be asked is , why does Brooke need to respect Katie and Ridge's relationship? Is there some unwritten law that only Katie gets that, because she sure didn't respect Brooke and Bill. No, she went out of her way to undermine their relationship, using anything at her disposal including her son. I think what has really lit my wick though is Ridge's attitude toward Brooke taking up with Bill Spencer "the despicable human being", but not feeling that way about Katie, who did a whole lot more that "take up" with Bill. So, I guess Bill didn't become "despicable" until her started seeing Brooke? Bill prior to that was a real swell guy, who only did good deeds, and was a good samaritan? To the contrary, I think Bill became a much better person after becoming involved with Brooke. Ridge will never see that though.
  15. If I am understanding correctly, Katie feels that Brooke should have rejected the co-vice president offer to show Katie her loyalty? For some reason I am unable to wrap my mind around that logic. I wish Brooke had blasted Katie's lack of loyalty to her niece and nephew, who had just been unduly attacked by Ridge. Further perplexing, is the fact that Katie knew about the takeover attempt in advance; knew that Ridge was going to attack and attempt to tear down everything Rick and Hope had accomplished. And Katie is ok with that? Brooke shouldn't be upset about it? She shouldn't want to be there to keep an eye on Ridge in regards to her children? Wasn't Katie "protecting" Will when she refused to let him come to Brooke's? Because, as an infant, he would have been scared for life. But Brooke shouldn't be upset or concerned for Rick or Hope? Afterall, all Ridge was doing was trying to steal Rick's position and essentially telling Hope that her line was for crap. What would Katie have preferred? Does Katie want Brooke to have nothing? No man and no job? Sitting home alone in that big house? Of course she does; anything that will keep Brooke out of Ridge's orbit. Katie is totally insecure, and she should be. It is going to take a lot more than candles and lingerie to erase Brooke from Ridge's consciousness. I am officially done with Katie. Brooke kept a very low profile while she was with Bill, she wasn't in Katie's face with it, and she wasn't showing up at SP's telling Katie to stay away from Bill, and Will was one of her top priorities. Katie OTOH, seems to have lost sight of everything but her Norman Rockwell fantasy. I hope Rick and Hope are both hurt that Katie thinks so little of them and their accomplishments.
  16. HA! How true is this? I was cringing when Katie was blathering about consequences the other day; she was clearly intimating that only Brooke and Bill's actions have any That is because Katie has convinced herself that Brooke "stole" Bill from her; she is not remembering her part in the whole sordid mess. If I had to choose which "couple" behaved more inappropriately, hands down, that would be Katie and Ridge. I have many reasons for feeling that way: Brooke would never have given Bill a second thought if Katie hadn't interceded Brooke only starting coming over, and getting involved, out of concern for Katie Katie sent Bill and Brooke on a wild goose chase, scaring both of them half to death Even after "treatment", Katie was cold and distant to Bill Brooke and Bill fought their growing feelings for months, not a week Ridge is only punishing Brooke for not waiting for him Katie is only punishing Brooke because Bill chose her Katie fake fainting, alarming her entire family that she was having another heart episode Ridge and Katie acting like their actions differ in some way from Brooke and Bill's Bill and Brooke kept a low profile; Ridge and Katie are in everyone's face, openly macking on each other Ridge never had a problem when Brooke "worked on" him. I see it as Katie's continued learning curve. Katie thinks she knows what dealing with Ridge and the Forrester's, her sister included, entails and is all about. Katie thinks she knows something about buisness because she has been a part time CEO for a few months. Katie thinks that because Ridge has always been the favored son, that Eric would naturally continue that tradition. Katie thinks that her actions and motivations are seen as pure, and without blame or consequenses. Katie is really quite clueless. Eric has never been Ridge's greatest champion, he has been Brooke's. Ridge's greatest champion, his mother, is no longer with us. Eric may love Ridge, but he also loves Rick. And Rick is Brooke's son.
  17. Just some general observations that I keep forgetting to bring up: What is Carter's capacity at FC's now? He came on the show as an attorney, then he was an actor, then he was doing some modeling, and now? Is he Ridge's personal assistant? His right hand man? This alliance is happening for a reason and I think it is going to have something to do with the power struggle at FC's. And I have no doubt it is going to cause trouble for Carter and Maya. Why did everyone act like Ridge's word was final? As far as I know Ridge had no offical position at Forrester, so Rick should have just told Ridge to put a sock in it, he wasn't firing anyone. What I would liked to have seen, is everyone at the table to just bust out laughing. Does TK have a nervous disorder? I notice that he "twitches" his head and shoulder quite often. I want to know what type of disorder Ally has. There has never been a mention of any official diagnosis, nothing about medications, or therpy, or counceling. But there has been a lot of "you have to get yourself under control Ally", "you were talking to your mother?", "you just seemed like you were getting so angry". Do we have a classic case of a troubled young girl, who lost her mother under tragic circumstances, being "overprotected"? Has Ally been spoiled and acts out if she doesn't get her way? I have negelcted to say how impressed I've been with Kim Matula. This beautiful girl who has no sex appeal, can sure bring the ice. Her demeanor towards Ridge has been so believable; refusing to look straight at him, making snide, but true remarks. the cold and completely furious look on her face. I think she has also done really well with her interactions with Ally. Another good episode today, it has been a long time since I have been excited about watching the show. I am totally enjoying these new twists, and the changing attitudes and alliances. As wrong as Eric was, is how right he was. He was wrong to disrespect Rick that way; I think Rick would be deeply hurt if he knew what Eric was doing. All the same, I loved much of what Eric said to Ridge; that is the anger and confusion I have been waiting for. Ridge won't except; he will make this his grand sweeping gesture of love for Katie. Eric couldn't possibly doubt Ridge's deep devotion to Katie after turning down the CEO spot. Ridge going on to Katie about daddy giving "Little Ricky" everything he wants just like always? WTH? Partial Frontal Lobotomy, I am telling you all. It is either that or it is the fact that Ridge has always been the favored son, and can sense a changing of the tide. Yeah, sure, Eric offered him the CEO position, but not based on his merits, or his accomplishments, or his contributions to Forrester. No, Eric offered him the job if he would agree to leave Katie and go back to Brooke. That should tell Ridge so much, but his ego will not let him see it. And his comment to Eric, "what, do you want me to go down to the basement with Thorne"? What does that say exactly? And who went whining and begging to daddy? I didn't see Rick do that, no, instead Rick stated the facts about what had been accomplished in Ridge's absence. Ridge OTOH, storms into Eric's office telling him he has to correct this, once again insulting his father and his judgement. Who is running Spencer Publications while Katie is playing soccer, and having fire side chats, and reading poetry, and having sex with Ridge, and going to Forrester? Does she have any idea what is going on over there? Seems like the glow of single mother, CEO to the rescue has worn off a little. And she just comes in and starts macking on Ridge? In front of her nephew? I am sure Katie thinks this shows people how secure she is in her and Ridge's relationship. To the contrary, I think it shows an insecure woman, who is desperate to show everyone how much Ridge loves her by public displays of affection. I don't think anyone in the Forrester family, or the Logan family, will appreciate that very much. KKL was good today. She was playing Brooke as relaxed and confident. I like that she knows there is a man waiting in the wings who loves only her, and that man is willing to wait and give her the time and space she needs. Ridge was never willing to do that. When he decided he wanted Brooke she should be willing to drop everything for him and his needs. Then, when his mother interceded, he would just as quickly explain to a heartbroken Brooke that she would just have to understand that Taylor needed him more right now. Or Thomas needed him more. Or the twins needed him more. I want Brooke to work with Ridge, but keep it completely above the table. Don't tell him anything and don't ask him anything. Ridge will slowly loose his mind, at least what he has left of it. Rick's reaction to Ridge and Katie smooching was sweet.
  18. Good catch ariesman3, I forgot about Pam as well. It is difficult sometimes to follow the family tree on B&B. Me too! I really like it here.
  19. You are correct annsterg; I competely forgot about Ally! Another good show today; I watched in surprise and awe as Eric, for once, did the right thing. And now I can add another character flaw to Ridge's ever growing resume; a sore loser. He refuses to believe that Eric is making this decision for any other reason than nepotism. Ridge has lost sight of all reason, and is behaving like he is mentally unbalanced. What factual data is he basing these assumptions on? Did he conduct a private study on what people thought about the direction of FC's? He seems to think that his "gut" feeling is all Eric needs to mess up the best thing FC's has had in years; to rip the seat right out of Rick's pants for no other reason than Ridge told him to. Add in the things he is saying right to Eric's face, and I am more convinced than ever that Ridge had some sort of Lobotomy while away. A Ridge and Brooke montage! Imagine that, and it was duller than dishwater, and felt as phony as a two dollar bill. I am hoping that was thrown in as a juxtaposition for Brooke to see her fantasy of Ridge, and how rotten he really is, and has been since his return. The look on her face, and the tone of her voice when she admitted to Ridge that she told Eric his dirty little secret was priceless. And I am sooooo glad that she is finally calling him on his shit. Brooke looked really disgusted. She looked like she didn't like Ridge at all. One of Ridge's biggest mistakes was underestimating the bond Eric and Brooke share. Just another example of his enormous ego; not understanding that Brooke and Eric love each other more than either of them could ever love him individually. I wasn't surprised when Ridge automatically assumed that Brooke was inferring he would want her back after he tires of Katie. History dictates that he would, and it has always been what Brooke has wanted and expected. Maybe not now though. I don't know if it is correct or not annsterg, but I like your math up there. Bill and Eric's shares total 50%. On a complete side note; Mr. RuntheTable, my B&B voyeur, kept up a non-stop commentary today, but of course he is not at all involved in the show...............
  20. I like that spoiler about Katie St3phForrester, You bet! And I loved it! When you get down to it, Ridge has no blood relatives on the canvas now except RJ. And his biggest supporter is gone; no doubt if Stephanie were still alive she would be lobbying for Ridge, but the tables have turned, or at least they should have turned. By all rights, Eric should have a nasty taste in his mouth regarding Ridge. He walked out on Brooke, he walked out on his "family", he walked away from FC's, and to this day, he has not offered one explanation. If I were Eric, I would be laughing in Ridge's face, but that is never how it plays out, although this time should be very different. How is it ok for Ridge to not come home to see his mother before she dies? How is it ok for Ridge to not come home for his mother's funeral? How is it ok for Ridge to not come home to support his family during a heartbreaking time? Oh, that's right, Stephanie told him it was ok to stay away. So how is that any different than Katie telling Bill and Brooke it was ok? I know Katie was dealing with PPD and wasn't thinking straight, but Stephanie was dying of cancer and wasn't thinking straight either. So again, Ridge stands in judgement of someone else's actions, when he has behaved just as badly, and in my opinion, worse than Brooke. Not only did he insult and let down every person he has ever claimed to love, but he compounded that by returning home full of judgement and criticism, then turning around and doing the exact same thing. I never disliked Ridge until now; he got on my nerves and all, but I still liked the character. This version of Ridge however? I say let the family wars begin, and I will go on to say, let Brooke dig her heels in real deep about who is and who isn't a Forrester. At the end of the day, it is all on Ridge. He is the one that is creating the turmoil, he wants to keep pushing the envelope, because he believes that Eric will always side with him. Furthermore, I now would have NO problem with Brooke turning those papers over to Bill. If Katie and Ridge want to play it this way, then I say tit for tat. I agree, TK is playing this perfectly, but he still needs a shower and shave. And an iron wouldn't hurt either. Maybe Ridge has forgotten about BeLief?
  21. I burned a blister on my thumb today from pressing so hard on the fast forward button trying to get through the commercials. I was totally wrapped up in what was going on; what a great show. Methinks you are on to something there, because none of this makes sense. I want to also say, that I am more than a little put out that there is any decision to be made. Eric should have taken control, told Ridge he was out of line, and that Rick has done a great job. I would also have liked to hear Eric lob one out there for the team, particularly Caroline. When you get down to it, Caroline was the driving force in the relaunch of HFTF. She is the one who rallied the troops as well as designed the line. It irritates me that that is so often overlooked, and everyone acts like the success of HFTF is due to Wyatt. I am nearly in love with Rick right now. He was awesome today; I am loving how he is not letting his anger take control. That is exactly what Ridge wants, but Rick has grown a little, and is very comfortable and confident in his current situation. JY is playing this perfectly; with the right amount of disbelief, confusion and anger. I know it is wrong, but I jumped up off my damn couch today when Rick emphased "MY FATHER". Ridge has no compunction delving to the lowest form of assholerie; disrespecting people who have put their hearts and souls into doing something good for his family's company, and that list includes the man he has called father his whole life. And his disrespect of Brooke is maddening. Since when does Brooke need an invite? And HELLO Buckeroo, she had an invite. From Eric. You know, the CEO of Forrester. OMG Brooke! The looks she was giving Ridge today. Wow, how different were those? Those were not the looks of a broken hearted woman. And I love it. And the things she said to Eric. I never saw that coming, nor would I have expected to hear that from Brooke. And I love that too. Now I am believing those spoilers that said; A Caroline sighting that included more than her smiling at the board room table. I hope we see more of her bad little self; totally loved how see let Ridge know what she thought about the situation. Did Ridge actually say something to Rick about his mother supporting and defending him? Last time I checked, Ridge was many years older than Rick, and Ridge let his mother not only support and defend him, but essentially run his life until her death. A death he couldn't be bothered with. Just another reason he should be grateful all these people were here for each other. Did I also hear him tell Rick that Katie was non of his business? His aunt? If possible, Ridge looked even more unkempt today. It was ok at first, but the look is wearing off now. And it is seeming very petty, and silly, because I continue to believe it is a big FU to Ronn Moss. I am having a rough time taking Ridge seriously looking the way he does. How can this man, who looks like he has been living in his car, know a thing about fashion, much less couture. I wasn't watching when Oliver was introduced, but he seems like a decent character, and he is seriously cute. But that hair in those flashbacks?
  22. No doubt about that, but I see it as a good thing right now. My hope is that Ridge acting like this, going out of his way to be insulting, i.e. "this is non of your buisness" to the woman who ran the company for decades and did a better job of it than Ridge ever did, and to the woman who's son is actually Eric's bio son and the President of FC's, will only serve to finally open Brooke's eyes and push her further away from Ridge. I fervently hope that Ridge's boorish behavior will officially serve notice on Bridge.
  23. I am agreeing with everyone on one general discussion topic; I really dislike the whole "multi thread" type posting.
  24. Where to begin.......... Katie So, actions have consequences? But not Katie's actions, only Brooke's. People just have to suck it up and move on? Destinies change? All said with Katie's ever present smirk. And oh yes, before I forget, she is now all up in Forrester Creation business too. Katie does seem to have a lot of free time on her hands; when was the last time she went in to the office? Is she a stay at home CEO now? Hell, when you think about it, she could just pitch her shit right in there with Ridge and help him run Forrester too! It would give him more to crow about in Brooke's face. Rick I was so impressed with JY today; he was actually shaking with rage and his face was burning red. What impressed me more though, was the controlled anger he used on Ridge. Ridge Rick was right; this is a vendetta. He fired Oliver because he knew it would hurt Hope, which in turn would hurt Brooke. He also did it to anger Rick, and make him look bad, which would also hurt Brooke. He comes into a major meeting looking like he just rolled out of bed, commences to insulting everyone that was left to pick up the pieces he left behind, fires a qualified, well liked long term employee in a very public setting, and tell's Rick to just hand him over ther Presidency? Huh? You are acting like a complete schmuck, not making a lick of sense, comparing apples to oranges as your basis for major business decisions and you want to be in charge again? Brooke Dare I hope? Could this really be a return of the Brooke I loved? I am so glad that Ridge pushed her buttons. Did he really say "Honey, you don't know what I am capable of" to Brooke? Who knows better than her? Is part of Ridge's life altering experience while in Paris a partial frontal lobotomy? In any case, it had the desired effect, because Brooke brought out the Red Suit. Oh, boy howdy, when my girl puts on the friggin Red Suit the shit is gonna start flying. And it all happened on the heels of that lovely, touching, very intimate conversation she just had with Eric. Her one true friend. The man who has loved her for over twenty years. So, in hindsight, Ridge's little ploy is going to backfire. Goody. The Entire Cast Great work in the office scenes today; the awkwardness and discomfort were palpable.
