Quick, everyone. Let's hum that famous dog food jingle that we all grew up with and know so well ....

    Uh, right.

    Next.

Well lightening may struck twice in the same place but it's highly unlikely. My guess is he's convinced he's the next Richard Marx.Richard's dad was a jungle writer too and one of them wrote the famous, "two scoops of raisins, two scoops of raisins in Kelloggs Raisin Bran!" But like I said what's the odds of that, right? Richard Marx was extremely fortunate ( dad in the business) and talented.

So dream on Jed but I'm not waiting on your equivalent to "Right Here Waiting" to come out anytime soon.

The closest thing I can think of was in some kind of creepy big old southern mansion that was supposed to be haunted, and I think that may have been Chris Soules' season.

I'm pretty sure that was on Nick's season. It was in an old southern plantation and it was during the episode they were in New Orleans. Something about not touching the dolls and then a doll dissappeared. Silly stuff.

I remember the escape room 1on 1 but can't remember who's season it was.

Once there was a spelling bee. Once in ... how many years? I'm sure someone here remembers whose season that was. Seems like the guys weren't all that great at spelling.

If they had a Usage of Pronouns in the English Language test, pretty much everyone would fail, including the b-ette.

If they had a Say a Paragraph Containing No "Likes," they all would fail that, too.

So I guess we have to settle for rugby and roller derby to fill the time slot.

I remember that group date and yes the guys were horrible spellers. Can't remember for sure which season it was but I want to say it was either JoJo:'s or Rachel's.

Me too!  I was hoping she would transfer some of that snark she had for Kendall to Hannah and hate-watch with me.

I've been noticing her missing too which is strange because (contrary to your wishes Judy) she seemed to be all in for Hannah on Colton's season. Or at least until I stopped reading her posts, (which sure gave that indication) so unless she's changed her mind I would probably find  another partner in snark. But as they say different strokes for different folks. I personally am loving Hannah as bette and count me as one who had serious doubts about her being ready. She's been a pleasant surprise for me so far.

Seriously though I hope everything is fine with her.

  5. For the most part I'm enjoying Hannah and all her quirks. And on a shallow note she may not be the most attractive bette they've had but that's ok because I relate more to that. She is a pretty lady. But I will say (as someone else pointed out earlier) her and/or her stylist are killing it. Red is definitely her color. I've noticed she's wore it more than once and looks great in it. She has a very attractive figure as well. When she wears sleeveless gowns you can see her arms are very toned. The last Bette I remember looking that good in her clothes with a great figure was JoJo.

Who's the one(s) they're referring to that Katie, Sydney and/or Demi say is the shiny new object and warned Colton to "be smart about those girls"?

Someone pointed out in the episode thread that they thought Taysia wasn't really that much into Colton and was just playing nice. She's also the one whose been divorced. According to some google searches I found out she is over 100,000 in debt after said divorce. Which has only been recent. If she made it to final 4 and then got eliminated she would have a great chance at getting the bette spot. Which we know pays in the six figure range. Could this have something to do with what the others were picking up on, I wonder??

I feel stupid for asking this but what is the “Bachelor Handshake?”

It's when the women run to the Bachelor when they first see him (usually on a one on one) and jump into his arms and wrap their legs around him.

It's the wrapping the legs around him that's key to the BH. It's totally unnecessary but it's been done so many times now that it would seem out of the ordinary (but welcome) if they didn't.

  8. I was one who swore I would not watch but broke down and caught a episode. I wanted to be at least a little familiar with the women as to know the next Bette somewhat. But I have to agree that the season is going much better than I expected. He's actually pulling off that he's interested in these women's lives and is way more articulate than I thought he would be. I agree as @HappyDancex2 said that he's not as boring as Arie was.  But I don't believe for a instant that he's actually wanting to be married at the end of this. Like Nick Viall or Jordan Rogers I believe he's hoping to parlay this into a acting or maybe a sportscasting role.

I'm glad someone else saw the Asian look.  I kept wondering who she reminded me of and finally realized she has the same face as a classic Asian beauty seen in tons of Japanese art.

I was so angry! I'm not spoiled either but the show seems to have given the entire Cassie story away and the "who gets a hometown" episode used to be fairly suspenseful but that's all over.

Although, come to think of it, one of the twins got to meet the Bachelor's family simply as part of a one on one because the fam was in the area.

Also remember on Arie's season when he flew Krystal to Scotsdale to meet his family early on in the season on a one on one. Lots of comments about how odd and premature that was. And I don't trust the editing at all on this show. Misleading to say the least.

Yeah I noticed that too. Made sure she got her digs in at Arie and Colton didn't she? Wonder how much ass she had to kiss to get that spot?

  10. My choice would be between Hannah G or Tayshia. Both are gorgeous in their own unique way and I think either would be popular with the men. I guess opinions could change slightly to favor one over the other as the season progresses but as of right now my choice would be between one of those two.

WTH, Elyse has never seen this franchise? Send her stank ass home, stat.

Exactly. This is an old production trick anyway. How many times I've screamed at the tv, "have you never seen the premise of this show", when these girls come up with this bs. And for so much crying I never saw one tear. She had to turn her head at one point to pretend to wipe tears. After all that I'm sure she'll end up on BIP. This show is getting so obvious.

People will watch just to see who the next Bachelorette is going to be, or to see who the next cast of losers in Paradise will be.

I have never not watched because I hated who they picked. Colton is the first time I've considered it but funnily enough the one thing that made me reconsider was knowing I wouldn't be familiar with the Bachelorette or BIP'ers. I guess I will just have to muddle through it since I am hopelessly addicted to this silly show! Hopefully he won't be as bad as I thought he would be.

Well good, at least someone is rooting for him. Now I don't have to feel as bad for the guy. haha I could see him doing well on IG, he is pretty, there's just not much going on beyond that.

I don't feel sorry for him at the moment and can't see changing my mind or watching his season although it's a long time between now and January and disappointment can wane over time. And TPTB have a way of changing our viewpoints depending on their editing. I have a feeling the producers will be painting Colton in as good a light as possible based on the viewer backlash over him being chosen. You would think they would have to be worried about their ratings but Reality Steve brought up a good point. Which is that they probably aren't worried because every year they have people who threaten to not watch because they don't like the pick but ultimately do watch because their ratings never suffer. Still I have never seen this strong of a backlash in my history of watching so time will tell I guess.

  14. 4 hours ago, Mabinogia said:

Yeah, Nick and Arie both seemed to have an equally loud fan base to counter their anti-fans. I just haven't heard much support for Colton from anyone.

According to Reality Steve he has a big following on IG (I think it was or possibly Twitter) way more than Jason or Blake. Must be a silent majority then because where are they? Why aren't they speaking up in support of him? I don't know, nothing about this pick makes sense.

    Money, I guess?

I'm ashamed to say I watched The Proposal and I knew she wouldn't even make the first cut.  She didn't look surprised, so I guess they get paid something for just being there.  She really does need to fade out of the spotlight though.

I ashamed to say I watched it too but were we watching the same thing? She actually finished as the runner up on the Proposal. I remember being surprised she made it that far.

I just want him to be decent and not an asshole to the women. In that respect, I don’t think Colton can be worse than Arie was.

They think he'll be more likely to propose at the end of this since he won't screw anyone he's not serious about. They probably think that means he's looking for a serious relationship.

Stan39, it wouldn't take much to be better than Arie was. It's really just trading one boring storyline for another IMO.

That's just it though @Mabinogia I don't think Colton is serious about finding anyone. And I have to disagree about him having the producers snowed. I don't think they believe he's looking for anything serious either. They are hoping we will believe it though.

But TPTB of this show are soooo predictable, they do whatever they feel will bring the Most. Drama. Evar. It's like knowing that friend who can always be counted on to make the worst choices.

I know that people will say that Ben H was a producers dream, willing to do whatever they asked so in that way he is similar to Colton. But Ben was way more articulate than Colton will ever be. I can't see how they thought Ben would bring the Most. Drama. Evar. though. He was pretty boring and tame IMO. I think the position goes to whoever kisses the producers _____  the most and being willing to do whatever asked.

Colton as Bachelor? Ugh. This shows not even trying to fool us anymore into even slightly believing these guys are looking for anything serious. I prefer to be fooled myself. I know it's mostly fake but I do enjoy it when something lasting comes out of this mess, albeit not very often. We might as well be watching Unreal.

I actually went back to see what Blake's mom's hair looked like because I thought I might have mixed it up with Garrett's mom's hair.  Now I think I must have "helmet hair," all wrong.  I always thought it was that short, very smooth, rounded-in under the ears, sprayed into a hard plastic state  -- you know --like a helmet.  Blake's mother's hair was almost shoulder length, curly and kind of wild.  What kind of helmet is curly?

That's always been my understanding of, "helmut hair". Rounded, hard and plastered to the head.

Reminds me of the movie, "Steel Magnolias" in which Julia Roberts' character Shelby is always telling her mother, played by Sally Field, that she has "helmut hair". But only after Shelby heartbreakingly dies does her mother, after asking one of her friends at the funeral for a mirror, break down crying saying, "Shelby's right, I do have helmut hair!"

There's been some rumors that she cheated and is married to the guy she cheated with. If that were the case, I'd stay hidden too.

I can see this happening. And there are guys out there who would rather die or bring up other reasons than admit they were cheated on. It hurts their egos too much. Garrett seems the type.

And the way his family acted makes more sense if that were the case.

  20. I'm a little late posting but my thoughts echo many that's been stated. I agree that Colton is fake, has been since day one and I have no interest in seeing him as the Bachelor. That would be such a boring and tedious season. Not sure if this Tia angle is a set up between them so both can get what they want. Why would Tia need to go to those extremes to secure a spot on BIP? She went pretty far on Arie's season, was/is well known, not like some who go out episode 3 or under and viewers are like, "who"? And we know that even they show up from time to time. Grocer Joe is a prime example this upcoming season. But unless we assume that they all have to jump through hoops to get there I don't see why it was necessary for Tia to perform her lovelorn act to get there. I do believe however that TPTB needed to stir up some drama in this otherwise dull season and Tia was more than willing to perform. I haven't liked her since Arie's season and think she's a classic example of a famewhore. So please TPTB no Colton bachelor season! I'm sick of both him and Tia but I suppose we'll have to endure both on BIP. Maybe we can hope they'll bring plenty of snarky drama.

I'm just blah on Garrett. Whether you agree with his "likes" or not it really shows his lack of intelligence IMO. If your thinking of even remotely appearing on this show in the future why would you "like" such controversial and demeaning memes? Not very smart. Take Ben H for example. He didn't try to hide he was conservative but I could never imagine him doing anything that disgusting. But one thing I find curious is why hasn't Garrett's ex come out to tell her side of this short lived marriage. I can see not wanting the publicity but the show keeps harping on it and were I in her shoes it would be hard to not defend myself. Maybe there's more truth to it than not? Makes me wonder.

Blake seems to be the most truly in love with Becca and he would probably be her best choice but she would need to get the guy some counseling before even attempting to marry him IMO.

And lastly Jason. He is my hands down favorite. If she doesn't pick him (and I don't think she will) then I think he would make a good Bachelor. He comes across level headed, smart and very appealing IMO. His hair is the least of my worries. I'm sure the show will take care of that. Jason for the next Bachelor!

Kaitlyn had an entire night having sex with Nick LONG before the fantasy suites happened.  Multiple leads have commented over the years that they get private time with their "dates" when they ask for it.

He could have told her the honest basics without making his mother sound like the Whore of Babylon.

Plus if you'll remember Ben H and Shawn roomed together and Ben talked about how she came to their room when cameras weren't around. So unless the show got more vigilant after Kaitlyn's season then yeah I believe the contestants can see each other when cameras aren't around, if they want to bad enough.

I thought he wanted out of the limo to puke on the side of the road. You know, from the close call he almost had getting hitched to Becca.

I think the virgin audition was better than Wills' exit audition. But my money is on F2 as next Bach, whomever that is. Wills could make it to Paradise though, along with Leo.

I'd love to have met Leo's family.

I actually missed the first 45 minutes so I didn't see Colton's big confession. So I can't say which one was better although I thought Wills done pretty darn good. Ha..I too was worried he was going to be sick and was thinking, "no I really don't want to see that visual show. I get it. I'm good". I was ready to turn my head and plug my ears..lol.

But speaking of Colton's confession I wonder what bombshell Tia's going to drop next week or if that's just the show teasing and then not delivering.
