  1. Let me start by saying that I am glad I watched this show from start to finish but oh my lord that was a terrible series finale.... the writing was horrid,  the acting was average and the big bad was the lamest big bad this show has had.... he and his mommy issues can take a hike.

It’s been like watch a balloon slowly deflate for the past few years and whilst I enjoyed this show for the most part I feel nothing but relief it has finally been kindly put out of its misery...

  2. Carol is boring me so much this season and I think it’s because I could care less about Henry and his demise so I have no patience for emo, pill popping, vengeful-ish Carol....

Naturally it is taken me 8 episodes to work that out 😂

The problem was the walkers turned around immediately. Negan had been yapping the whole time, and wasn't even "disguised" so I assumed everyone around him and Beta were whisperers. The show runners should be ashamed of themselves for that sequence.

Otherwise I enjoyed the episode, except for Siddique. He's still acting weird so I have to go back to wondering if he's a Manchurian Candidate. Additionally the utter stupidity of dragging an infant around every sick person in the camp.

I guess the rushing water is making everyone sick. However Daryl just slit a walker and put the entrails right over his mouth.

It would have been much more believable to show the whisperers tainting stored water rather than dumping stuff in the river on the pretext that nobody sanitizes river water where walkers and wildlife are free to roam.

Thank you!!! I was just about to ask how Negan could wander in and around walkers without a skin mask, yapping at full volume and attract no attention from said walkers??? That’s some special bullshit even for Season 10 Walking Dead shenanigans.....

I believe that the show should be able to stand on its own. There are a lot of books adapted for movies and it isn’t necessary to have read the book first. I never read any of George R R Martin’s books but watched all of Game of Thrones.  This show cannot stand on its own and so I am out. Visually it is very appealing and it has a lot of good actors but it isn enough.

I think this is the way I am feeling too.... I liked all the promo stuff and was eagerly awaiting the series hoping I could enjoy it without a comic background but nope..... it’s just not working for me..... and I absolutely hate the parts with Jeremy Irons and just keep muttering the words “what the hell?” everytime he and his weird robots appear.... Sadly I’m done....

Negan was the only tolerable character this entire episode.   He is the only one smart enough to basically say kill or be killed.  Yeah, he has a horrible backstory, but they all have varying degrees of horrible backstories.  He didn't have a case of the "can't shut the hell ups" which is a plus in his favor.

I hate Carol with a passion.  She along with Daryl enabled her useless "son"  and the end result was ten people getting piked.  Now out of nowhere she becomes a drug addict.  No real build up to that.  Where did she get the pills?

Memo to Carol.   Stop being a selfish bitch.  Bring a gun to a meeting and then trying to shoot Alpha would have been fine if you were there alone.  it would have been all on you.  But when you have a bunch of fellow protagonists around you, you were putting their lives at risk.  Stop being a selfish bitch.  You have already caused enough people to die.

Memo to Michonne.  If the Whisperers have the ability to control the herd and lead them in an attack against you, then if you kill the Whisperers, the herd can't be led anywhere.

In fact Michonne, if you can figure out how the Whisperers are capable of leading the herd toward you, you should be able to lead the herd away from you.

    This 1000% .....

Carol IS.NOT.THAT.INTERESTING ..... move on before she gets them all killed....

  6. I really liked it but was distracted by wondering why the hell they gave her FOUR kids..... or any kids for that matter.... super creepy and a really interesting premise....hope it holds up despite the weight of FOUR kids.....

  7. Loved everything about this series.... some of it was hard to watch but there were soooo many excellent choices in writing, acting, casting, directing....I could go on and on but I want to point out one moment that probably won't get a mention.

The acting of Eric Lange in the moment his character realised just how badly he had f'ed up the original investigation....that was Alexis Bledel worthy face acting!! Outstanding.

Also I could watch Merritt Wever channel her inner Holly Hunter all day!

  8. You know it still blows my mind after all these episodes that the founders of Gilead blew up congress and pretty much eliminated the leadership of the United States of America and basically imprisoned a country of people to sexual slavery et al and the rest of the world seemed to be tolerating it and shrugging it's shoulders.....

The scene where Serena was being arrested and she referred to rape as some sort of state sanctioned religious ceremony ....

It's absolute madness that it's only now that the world seems to be waking up to itself..... or did I miss something??

  9. I can’t stand this thing where pregnant women constantly hold/caress their belly..... I don’t have any memory of doing it whilst pregnant..... I did however develop good balance with a bowl of ice cream at times....

As much as I like Joseph Fiennes and he's killing it as Fred and Yvonne is killing it as Serena, I just don't want these two to get off because the actors are likable. Damn it. I want REVENGE for all the shit they have done.

It’s about the only thing that keeps me hanging on.... I really want to see these two get what they deserve....if it’s not realistic to bring the down fall of Gilead then at least give us the end of Fred and Serena!

I'm quickly going from hating the twist to kind of hating Rob Thomas. I honestly don't think he has any idea what made the show work. Without Neptune and its people, Veronica Mars doesn't work. And not just because I wouldn't like it, I don't think anyone outside of Neptune would put up with this Veronica's endless supply of bitchy shit.

I'm still stuck on being told this wasn't the finale we wanted but what we needed.....and this is coming from a fan who could never get past douchebag teenage Logan so never shipped them in the slightest (but can acknowledge their amazing chemistry!).  Came for the mystery and stayed for the snark.

I am really not sure about Veronica's break up with Neptune either.....I have strange feelings about the ending.  I love this show and I loved this season but I just feel strange about the choices made moving forward.  I can totally understand people's frustration.

Pretty sure that's exactly what it is. On the Veronica Mars Instagram, there's an IG story that has the caption "So excited for you all to watch this season. It may not be the story you expect, but it's the story you need. We love you."

And it's that attitude that pisses me off more than what actually happens in the episode. It just feels so condescending.

Yep telling fans what they need is the ultimate condescension and irritating as hell and this is coming from someone who never shipped Veronica and Logan for one second....

  13. Let me start by saying I am enjoying the show so far.

I went to the drama forum to look for this show so colour me surprised that it was in the comedy forums.  Yes, it has funny moments but other than the run time I would not describe this show as a comedy??

No complaints so far....will watch more tonight!

Luke goes into my most hated television characters.  Ironically, another one of them is Rory Gilmore!  And yet I love love love love love Emily and how Alexis Bledel is portraying her!

Luke:  She's just like her Mom!  Her Mom, who's name is June Banknote!  Who was captured by Gilead and was living with the Waterfords!  She stole this baby!  Then gave it to Emily, who escaped to Canada ----

Cameraperson:  Dude we don't need to know all this

I seem to be on a different page than everyone else.  I hate Aunt Lydia and don't care about her!  I fastfowarded her entire "This is my moment to cry alone" scene.  Boring.

Something that really struck me this episode is that I never realized how SHORT Elisabeth Moss is next to Yvonne.  It was SHOCKING.  I felt bad for Elisabeth.  They make her look so horrible.  And Yvonne seems to have no flaws, it's really annoying.

Count me in....I seriously do not get the weird "pity" that Aunt Lydia seems to get every so often....no interested in that OR her... she's a savage.

How stupid is Luke to show up on TV with a "stolen" baby especially with June still in the colonies and Emily running away. Like there won't be any connection to June with all that let alone the WTF of June straight up admitting to knowing him?!?

Seems like a completely insane, infuriating way to get Nichole back to Gilead thereby extending June’s stay as well .... yippee 🙄

    Canada’s gonna cooperate, isn’t it??

    Ok, have a question.

Was on another forum. Apparently there is big LGBTQ community controversy about the finale and “queerbaiting”. So people do view this show as legitimately a romance about Eve and Villanelle.

So, my question: do people really believe Villanelle is capable of “love”, or of somehow being cured of being a sociopath? I mean, she said it right there at the end, when Eve asked her if she knew what love meant. She said “it means you’re mine”. In other words, a possession, an object. In other words, V is still a sociopath.

I’ve been okay(ish) with the idea that the two of them have an unhealthy obsession with each other, but generally am not onboard with the idea that it’s love for either one of them, or that V is capable of love, or of magically no longer being a sociopath. So this show is not a romance for me. (I’m not sure what it is, honestly.)

I guess I’m mostly feeling uneasy about the ongoing romanticizing of sociopaths in the post-Dexter era. While, yes, still enjoying the character of V and Comer’s performance. I just didn’t know people had significant investment in “shipping” these two, to the point of social media outrage, when one of them is ... a psychopathic serial killer who by definition can’t feel love.

Am I making sense here? Are we supposed to believe that V can somehow grow a conscience?

Yes you are and no she can’t..... for me this show is about so much more than silly fan girl shipping..... Eve reclaiming her humanity and Villanelle feeling betrayed by it takes us to a very interesting place next season and happily ever after is not that place and IMHO was never the place they intended to go.  Could it be interpreted as queer baiting.....absolutely, if you forget Villanelle is a sociopath incapable of feeling or loving....
