  1. I'm going to unabashedly fangirl over MEK. Squeeeeeeee!

He was my first soap crush. I cried when he fell off that damn bridge and "died." Until it comes to pass that they've messed up his part and story, I'm going to think happy thoughts and be, for the moment, glad to see him.

  2. It has occurred to me that we, the audience, have never met Drew.  This is the first time.

BM as Drew was always just someone accepting the words of others that he was not Jason, and then changing the circle of people he interacted with (which immediately made him a better person since he was now free of CarSon.) He took the name Drew because he came to accept what he was being told as truth. But it's not something he ever actually lived. He never did not have Jason's memories.  Even when he was Amnesia Jake, all of that was layered on top of what was supposed to be Jason.  Even the new memories made with Kim and Oscar had Jason's past as a foundation.

So, if this was really the story, this is a totally new person to us and to everyone but Kim and the now defunct Franco (the only person to know him for a short while as a child.)  Oh, and Shiloh.

I feel bad for Scott. He just lost Lee and Gail, now he also loses another child.

  3. List of fuckable men (character names):

    Drew
    Curtis
    Chase
Jacks / Jax (never been sure which one it is...)
    Robert
    Mac

I'm going to add Lucas and Kevin.  (I've liked Lindstrom for a very, very long time. And I think Carnes is kind of hot.)

  4. I'm re-watching a bit and am currently in Season 3.  I'd forgotten how drastically Bernadette changed from her first few episodes, probably even more so than Amy.  It's quite jolting to see her as shy and timid.  And with all of Howard's "jokes" going over her head, so odd.

I watched Raj's King of the Rabbits speech three times.  I'll always love that.

Until the finale, I didn't even realize that I would miss this show that much. And I teared up at the oddest time.  It was during the special with Johnny and Kaley and they showed the clip of Amy getting the tiara.  Yup - then I got the water works.  This show wasn't always on the top of its game but when they got it right, it was awesome.

In the news of the day, when I read this this morning - Physicists can predict the jumps of Schrödinger’s cat (and finally save it) (Yale News)I admit I first thought of BBT.

Anna seems to just want Robert to go away. I thought the "God help us all' comment in response to Felicia''s line about the Scorpio brothers was rude and unnecessary. The writing for Anna lately appears to be a lame attempt by the writers to try to force the audience to believe Anna and Finn are an awesome couple, while the ex-husband with whom she has great chemistry is mostly an annoyance to her - but she tolerates him out of love for Robin and the grandkids. Ughhh.

I hate this part of the story.  But then I was always Robert / Anna, not Robert / Holly. I cried when they got remarried in the 1990's and again during Night Shift II when it seemed clear they were there for each other until the end.

The Anna the show has been writing for the last two to three years - I'm not sure who that character is.

Men of a Certain Age – While I love Everybody Loves Raymond I never gave Ray Romano a second glance until this show….he was sexy, he was vulnerable and I was surprised by his great dramatic acting skills.  Add Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher in the mix and this show should have lasted 5 to 6 years, but fucking TNT cancelled it after 2 seasons!  To this day I’m still bitter

I join you in the bitterness.  I also came to appreciate Romano through MoaCA; such a good show. I didn't watch Everybody Loves Raymond during its run but started catching reruns because of Certain Age.

I keep meaning to watch Paddleton on Netflix; I've read it's another good performance.

  7. I totally agree with everyone who said this ruins ever rewatching.  That was total bullshit.

I'm not pissed that Jane is going to end up with Raf; I do believe that was always going to happen. I am pissed, and do care, about what the show has now taken away.  One of those things was perhaps my favorite TV wedding ever.  The joyous chemistry that Gina and Brett had just flew off the screen, filled the room and enveloped the viewer.  Then the incredible work that Gina did when Michael was shot, the fear and the shock.  Their happiness after his recovery and being so damn cute together.  And Gina just knocking it out of the park portraying the incredible depth of Jane's grief when Michael died.  All of those moments - no longer watchable.

Can not be said enough - Michael was kidnapped, tortured, lost everyone and everything he loved and held dear.  To leave this out of the show, to not even pay it decent lip service - total bullshit.

After he got his memory back, ignoring his relationship with Rogelio - (yes, you guessed it) total bullshit.

I can't remember when I last unchecked a show on Netflix from my watchlist but JtV came off last night.

I'm usually a completist and will stay with a show until the bitter end, but right now I'm undecided.

    Once more with feeling: bullshit.

I know, right? Random doesn't begin to describe the WTFery of this one. Maybe they'll finally kill Ryan and it will be his kidney that Jordan gets.

That was my first thought.  This is how we'll be sure that Ryan is most sincerely, completely dead and with the Nurses Ball coming I'm assuming all the big drama will tie in to the event.

Laura and Robert! That was really the first time since 198? they've been in a scene together?  I'm going to have to watch that again.  And while I like GF with JL, she should have said yes.  It's RFS!

  9. I've been stuck at home this week and decided to do a Grant and Grant movie fest (Cary and Hugh.)

Yesterday, I found two I'd not seen before: Cary Grant in Indiscreet (delightful!) and Hugh Grant in The Rewrite (enjoyable like comfort food). Monday was Holiday and Two Weeks Notice.  Today will be The Grass is Greener and The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain.

I'm not happy I messed up my back but as far as movies go it's been a pretty good week.

  10. "My Mom was so pretty."

That took my breath away, and then tears.  Great job, show.  And Kristen too.

I loved that they cut away from the scene after Tammy had started to talk about her mother.

I don't think that was the start of a talk or Tammy getting into what happened.  I think she said that, and that's all she said.  Nothing more.  That's the way it went in my head, at least.

Best episode this season and one of the best in the whole run.

I liked all of the plots in this episode - I missed seeing Dr. Miller - I guess her actress was filming The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel at some points during the filming of this season of Speechless. I liked how both of their nanny cam footage wasn't that bad, it was a funny episode all around.

I feel so stupid.  I watch and love both of these shows and I never realized these parts were played by the same actor, that's she's Rose on TMMM.  Marin Hinkle really disappears into both roles - respect!

So if Jordan goes to the great police precinct in the sky, does that mean Franco has to stay locked up forever because there’s no one to corroborate the ‘plan’? That works for me!

    2 minutes ago, ciarra said:

That's what I asked for Thursday night.  But I can never have nice things, so I assume eventually Jordan recovers and exonerates the murder hobo.

Even if Jordan dies, Franco will still be cleared when Kevin and Laura manage to escape or are rescued. Plus Lulu is starting to have flashes of what really happened.

I wish I could care about the Jordan character but I am not feeling this recast nor do I feel any great chemistry with Curtis.  I mean it's Curtis, the best looking guy on the show.  This is the first time I've felt that he's had anti-chem with someone, and that's a shame.

And did I see Monica in an episode?! I thought yes, the Quartermaines are still there and important. But I haven't seen her since.

Oh dear.  I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed.  The list of departed Quartermaines is quite long.  And the family that remains doesn't exactly get story or screen time.

    But welcome back!

  14. Baltimore born here.  R.I.P Frank Robinson.  You became an O in the best trade the Orioles* ever made; you helped build the foundation of a winning  franchise that lasted nearly 20 years (1966 - 1984.)

R.I.P. Albert Finney.  Watching old Cary Grant movies on TV may have given me my first romantic crush, but seeing you on television as Tom Jones is when I found my first sexy crush.  And a damn fine actor: Two For the Road, and The Dresser come to mind.

*Of course, now the O's are the worst team in baseball, but that's another story...
