  1. I never rooted for Kim and Jimmy.  Jimmy alone, yes, but not with Kim.  Sadly, Jimmy accepted the fact he was always going to be the one with the questionable past who was never going to live up to Chuck's professional reputation. But I always wanted him to win because even though he was shady, he was heartfelt and really cared about his clients, coworkers and friends.  Chuck, Howard and Kim were on the "right" side of the law, but they always came across so cold, insincere and fake.  However, as the series went on, I felt Howard became more likeable because he became more vulnerable.  I guess I'm one of the few that just didn't like the scam against Howard storyline.  Kim and Jimmy were willing to risk everything for what? What was their end game?

Just like Jimmy, I rooted for Nacho too.  Even though he did bad things, he was remorseful, ashamed and didn't want to be a disappointment to his dad anymore.

I like to see character growth which I think happened with Jimmy, Howard and Nacho, etc.  Kim just became a horrible person. Hopefully, she and her stupid ponytail will hit the bricks soon!

I think they could have explained Kim's motivation better but BCS  expects people to think for themselves. They expect people to take their hints and put things together themselves. Way too many American shows dumb thing down so that a 5 year old understands them. I'm glad BCS doesn't. Sometimes that means that they don't explain every nuance of every plot point completely. I'm fine with that.

I agree about shows being dumbed down and I do like that BCS knows it's audience can figure out what is going on.  I was just confused about Kim's motivation. I figured I might have missed something or forgot.

IMO, I would have rather seen Lalo kill someone who affected Kim and Jimmy more than Howard - someone unexpected like Irene or Francesca, for example.

  3. I've enjoyed this show up to this season.  I don't understand why Kim and Jimmy wanted revenge on Howard?  Did they ever explain their reason for trying to ruin his life except that they thought it would be fun?  This entire storyline was so ridiculous and completely over the top that I felt like I was watching a different show!  IMO, they only brought Howard into the main plot because they needed a secondary character that could be easily killed off for "shock value", but wouldn't have any effect on the future storylines.  I knew as soon as Howard showed up to the condo, he wouldn't be leaving alive.

At this point, I'm just watching for Gus and Mike, etc.  I like the calm, methodic, calculating slow burn storyline these characters bring to the table. It's the complete opposite of the chaotic and bumbling mess that is Jimmy and Kim.

    I miss Nacho.

  4. This was THEE worst episode ever!!

I just can't anymore with Bailey.  Every scene she is in is beyond ridiculous!!!

Chen and Bradford have absolutely no chemistry whatsoever!  Honestly, Chen doesn't have chemistry with anyone!

I think the Lopez/Harper detective team would be great.  I would rather see that as a spinoff than the FBI garbage from a few weeks back.

I'm waiting for Bailey to be revealed to also be a concerto violinist, Renaissance painter, storm chaser, pastry chef, mountain climber, empath and diamond miner.

They've already shown that Bailey is a pastry chef...in one episode she made like 6 different types of pies.

I would take Simone all day, every day over one minute of Bailey.  She looked absolutely ridiculous carrying that huge gun with her hair hanging in her eyes while shouting orders to the rest of "her" team.

I think if Simone toned down her personality (and her makeup), she would be more believable. A little bit of Simone goes a long way.  I would like to see her as often as I see Smitty.

  6. I didn't really care for this episode.  The dad with major anger issues seemed a bit cartoonish.  I would have rather had another family involved with the drunk driver/shooting scene instead.

I'm over the Owen centered storylines every week too.  I didn't like that Catherine seemed so giddy about getting back together with Owen.  Especially after he admitted that EVERYONE says he has an anger problem, but he thinks he doesn't.

Nancy+Matteo = NO!  They have no chemistry. At. All.  I hope they just stay friends.  I don't want to watch another show with in house romances! (Looking at you Chicago Fire).

I didn't like the kissing situation with Tommy and her fine looking BIL so I'm hoping that was a one and done.  I won't complain if he hangs around for a while though...he was nice to look at. :)

  7. I never cared for the "actress" playing Gemma.  I think she is horrible, IMO.  The other adult actors are very good comedic actors and have great chemistry with each other...she is lacking on both.  I always thought she was the weakest link, but it was really noticeable in this episode.

  8. I agree with everyone else that this episode had too many plots going on.

At first, I thought the car accident woman was trying to commit suicide since her car looked like it hit the overpass support head on.  Then when she said her husband was going to kill her because of the damage to the car, I then thought she was escaping an abusive husband.  Never did I think her storyline was going to turn into the mess that was the rest of this episode.

No answer on Nyla's condition.  She looks like she's due any day so I would think her bleeding would be of some concern, but I guess it's not as important as her babysitting some random kidnapped child and diagnosing him with a concussion.

Weird how we never see Nolan's ex-girlfriend anymore considering she is a Dr at the hospital.  Instead, we have Bailey responding to code blue's in the ICU.   I just can't with this show and their obsession with Bailey!!  And her hair constantly hanging in her face drives me completely mad!!

The husband shutting down the entire system so his wife would get the heart transplant was so stupid! I didn't understand how they mentioned the husband was in a psych ward years earlier because the wife tried to leave him.  But just like everything else in this episode, no follow up.  I also didn't understand how he supposedly couldn't live without her and that was his reasoning for not caring if the other patients died so his wife would live.  Even if she decided to go through with the transplant, he would be in prison so he wouldn't be with her.  It made absolutely no sense. And since that storyline wasn't dumb enough, the writers decided to make it even worse by turning it into ransomware attack.  The cherry on this sh!tshow sundae was the suspects were so easily caught hanging out in a shed not far from the hospital.  LAME!!!

I think Chen's boyfriend is a total creep and I wouldn't be surprised if he was also involved with Rosalind.  I really hope Chen and Bradford don't hook up.

I can't handle the premise of it - Maggie running away like that for 6 months, and Chim chasing across the country with a baby to find her.  The absurdity cheapens the message, which is unfortunate.  I would have like this story line much better if Maddie had gone through this with Chimney.  They could have found a hospital for her nearby, and she could have controlled the level of contact from none to visits with Chim, and later with the baby so she wouldn't have missed 6 months of her life.  That progression, and the struggles, could have been educational and dramatic without coming off as a PSA.  But I guess that wouldn't have worked since the actress was on maternity leave?

This!  I thought JLH did a great job in the flashbacks at the beach and at the hospital, but I would have much rather had someone at the beach notice her in the ocean and called 911.  She is saved and enters a treatment facility locally and her and Chimney go through this together - off screen.

Once Maddie started out patient therapy, I thought the episode went downhill quick.  Nobody in the group session noticed JJ from Criminal Minds was drunk?  And JJ relapses because Maddie is getting better and is ready to go home?  They were friends for like 5 mins.  Who was watching the baby while Chimney was sitting outside the hospital for months and while he was volunteering?  Buck recognizing the church bells? Come on!

On the plus side, no Lucy and no know it all 911 operator, who come to think of it, I actually haven't seen in the last couple of episodes.

I really hope this wasn't a backdoor pilot.

  10. This episode was ridiculous.  Jackie is so over the top, it's cringeworthy.

I find it hard to believe that there aren't any other small blue collar towns with reasonable real estate prices between Lanford and Rockford.  Didn't Becky and her college professor boyfriend have a date in the next town over a few episodes back?  The college kids said they lived out there because it was cheaper.

I was confused when Don said business was so good that he had to move to a bigger location, but then he will basically give the old house away because he said he's in over his head at the new place.  So Darlene taking over the mortgage with a $500/mo payment would be more helpful to Don financially than him selling it or renting it out?  And I'm pretty sure just taking over someone's mortgage is not even a legit thing?  The bank gave Don the loan, not Darlene.  Also, I would think if Don was that desperate, there would be at least a few interested buyers that would love to have a house with the original stained glass and hardwood floors in a "quiet" neighborhood.

I thought it was ironic that Darlene kept saying she didn't want the house because it's sad and depressing.  The Connor house is sad and depressing...and they're alive!!

I think it would be a lot less money to renovate the house vs demolishing it and starting from scratch.  Dan knows how to hang drywall and is handy, but that's not the same as knowing how to install plumbing, electrical, HVAC, framing, concrete, etc.  Plus, he's almost 70 and I don't know who is going to help him since no one else knows knows anything about construction including Ben who owns the hardware store.  On a side note, Dan/John Goodman's hand was shaking a lot while he was holding his toast during breakfast.

Can we get rid of Ben and have Patton Oswalt instead?

This doesn't make sense because most women who work in male dominant fields will choose not to behave this way, they want to be taken seriously. So, how TPTB is going to redeem Lucy after the bad introduction?

This!!  Even if Lucy thought she was going to be a temp at the 118, word of her reputation would get around fast so she wouldn't act like that IRL.

I like Eddie as a supporting/background character.  However, when he's involved in a main plotline, he always comes across as such a douche.

I like the new paramedic and I hope he doesn't get killed off.  I miss Chimney but if JLH never came back, I'm willing to take the loss of Chimney.  I'm surprised at Hen's attitude towards the new paramedic considering how she was treated when she first started (Hen Begins).

Buck and Taylor really don't have any chemistry, IMO so if I'd be fine if they broke up.

Totally off topic, but whoever laid the black floor tile in Athena's house did a terrible job!

  12. I guess I'm in the minority because I thought this episode was stupid! The only parts were watching were Smitty being Q and Bradford being annoyed with the interview, Chen and the investigation in general.

I liked Jackson and was disappointed when he left.  Thorsen is not a good replacement, IMO but at least his murder storyline is over.

NO NO NO with Bailey.  She is the worst!  I don't understand why she is being forced on us so much!  None of Nolan's other girlfriends were so active in every episode and they were all so much better than Bailey. SO. MUCH. BETTER!

  13. I still can't get over that Pam and Tommy basically had no rights when it came to their STOLEN PRIVATE tape .  The Seattle internet guy had more rights than they did.  Ridiculous!!!  I understand Pam wanted to move on from it, but I thought it was stupid they didn't agree to some sort of compensation for the tape.  She even mentioned that people thought they were getting paid, so why not?

They were about 30 minutes from Lake Mead and needed to rest for the night but I didn't understand why they didn't pick a small motel instead of a super busy, super public hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. They are definitely not the brightest people.

Regardless of the tape, Pam was never going to be taken seriously as an actress, IMO.  She has always been and always will be cast in roles that are about her body/looks/sex kitten appeal.

I thought the ending was abrupt.  I think the series should have been one or two more episodes just to show their marriage after the sex tape frenzy died down and Tommy's anger escalating.  I'm also disappointed they didn't show Tommy having more of drinking problem.  Supposedly, that was a huge factor (besides the DV incident) of why they got divorced.

  14. This episode was awful.  First, no Grace and minimal Judd.  Secondly, the calls were all beyond stupid.  When was the last time the crew was even on a fire call?

The parrot storyline was total filler and a complete waste of time.  The bird had never been mentioned before and will probably never be spoke of again...unless TK brings up his death and how he's so traumatized by his sudden passing at the next group therapy session.

Is Paul's heart condition heredity?  His dad died young from a heart attack, but Paul blamed it on pizza and hot dogs when perhaps, he had the same condition that Paul has.  I thought it was odd that the Dr didn't mention anything about him being trans, etc but immediately asked if he experienced nightmares. And since Paul said yes, he obviously has this rare XYZ heart disease.  Seriously?  And he'll be lucky if he lives another 4 years, yet the next day, he collapses from a heart attack just so we could get a Paul is pissed at Marjan storyline?  I would have rather seen Paul's arc being about him having the heart issue, but taking a few episodes to actually figure out what it was and seeing if it was related to him being trans.

  15. I'm really really really over Bailey!

How Aaron's reality show even allowed to happen?  It's obviously interfering with his job.  Just like the officers, the cameraman and the other guy have no idea what kind of situation they are walking into so I would think it becomes a safety issue for everyone involved.

I thought it was funny when Chen said "We like Wesley" and Bradford corrected her and said, "We accept Wesley because we fear Lopez."

  16. The entire Wheatley plot was soooooo bad!! I agree with everyone else's comments regarding him and the storyline.  I knew as soon as Angela drove off the cliff that her body would be found, but his wouldn't.  So stupid!!

I really liked the Sebastian character and wished this season revolved around him and not Wheatley.  Hopefully, he'll return in the future and not Wheatley.

  17. I'm in the minority here because I thought this episode was a bit out of touch with reality for a few different reasons.  First, I've never heard of being alerted via cell phone when a criminal is on the loose.  IRL, people's phones would be going off constantly or at least enough that the alerts would be ignored.  I wasn't surprised about Mary doing as she was instructed to do during an ALICE drill.  However, the adults (especially Darlene since both Mark and Harris have been experiencing them for years) not knowing that the school drills are conducted on a regular basis seemed strange.

Secondly, everyone in that house was acting like gun violence isn't a common every day occurrence here in America.

I don't care how secure Dan thought his gun was, having it sitting in a "locked" box in a dresser drawer where a small child could find it was totally irresponsible.  However, I didn't agree with Harris taking it and turning it in either.  I'm not a gun person, but can you just walk into a police station and give them a gun in exchange for cash?

Third, no one gives a bunch of money to neighbors they don't know just because they say it's going towards the victim's expenses.  GoFundMe, yes.  Strangers going door to door, no.

    Final reason...

    6 hours ago, Darian said:

I wish she or someone else Black had been there to help Mary. Darlene was well-meaning but Mary was aware that she doesn't get it and I feel like Darlene and the family did their best, but Mary knows it's different for her.

    20 hours ago, Bastet said:

(This would have been a good episode for Geena to be in, though, pointing out Mary has additional concerns as a Black person, and to be the one struggling with how to help her daughter, rather than that coming from Mary's aunt.  I know they have a whole lot of characters for one show, but, jeez - I'd have rather Louise come home next week and Geena be in this one rather than inserting Louise's return into this one.)

Agree on both of these comments.  I was disappointed that Darlene didn't even mention how it would be different for Mary because she's black. That also would have been a good time to explain where Gina has been this entire time. She could have told Mary that she should talk to her mom more about it after she returns home from wherever she's been since she retired from the military.

    Lecy is a horrible actress!!

  18. I thought this episode was kind of meh.  First, I've never been a Gwyn fan so featuring her throughout the episode was a disappointment.   I don't understand how TK was still employed as firefighter/EMT since he was so addicted to drugs that his mother knew to find him sleeping in a drug den?

I wish Gwyn's death coincided with TK almost dying a few episodes back.  If he woke up from the coma to hear that his mother died, it would have made way more sense why they were baking cookies together.

Why didn't Owen just facetime Tommy about the Genevieve's injuries?  He wasted precious time trying to explain to her what was going on, then filming a video, sending it to her, having her watch it, etc.

I really hope Nancy and Mateo aren't going to be a thing.

Nice to see Justine from Superstore.  Too bad she didn't have a bigger role.

  19. This episode was awful.  I know this show is supposed to be "light" drama, but the writers are trying way too hard to make comedic when it shouldn't be and it's totally not working.  I would think if the show is trying to go in a quirkier direction, why not interview real life law enforcement and ask them about the weirdest/funniest/unbelievable cases for story ideas?  I'm sure they have tons!

I'm a Bradford (minus Chen) fan so I was disappointed that he was really only featured to listen to Chen's drama.

Jenna Dewan can leave at any time.  I am so over her character! And why is her hair always so unkempt and hanging in her face while she is at work?  I would think there would be some kind of dept rule about longer hair needing to be away from the face, etc for safety and/or proper mask fittings.

Tiffany is a poorly conceived character shoehorned into the show. She is supposed to be an ex-cop which comes off as unrealistic. The more back-story they try to glue on to the character, the more of a chimera she seems.

I agree about Tiffany.  Plus she has the personality of a wet noodle.  I like OA when he's not bringing his personal feelings into the case and I like Scola in that he's unemotional and we get to learn something about him every so often (used to be a stockbroker, brother killed in 9/11, etc), Isobel is okay and Jubal is so much better when he's not yelling.  I can't stand Maggie and wouldn't miss her if she was replaced.

When an agent is approaching a suspect, can the agent once, just once, not yell, "Stop! FBI!" from 100 yards away?!  I would think that would be FBI training 101.

But you take a Pamela Anderson who has a public persona that exemplifies  sex and then you get a stolen sex tape, and there’s a mental disconnect for a lot of people, “how can she put herself out there as a sex goddess and then be upset with a sex tape” (not my sentiment) but that’s where their logic is.

A lot of people don’t get it is it was possible for her to have a sexual persona AND be the victim of a horrible crime of her most private moments broadcast without her consent, add in the double standard that Tommy didn’t get raked over the coals like she did,

I completely agree with you. However, I think because she continued (and continues) to put herself out there as a sex object, it minimized the seriousness and the privacy factor of the situation.  Also, after divorcing Tommy, she married that scumbag Rick Solomon (TWICE, btw) who leaked and profited off of his sex tape with Paris Hilton without her consent.

  22. I thought this episode was awful. Just awful!  The motorcycle cop was so over the top and exaggerated!  Owen's solution to get revenge is to play softball against him?! Seriously?  Why not go to his superior or file a complaint? The entire storyline from the robocop interrupting a rescue to the stoned cops and everything in between was beyond ridiculous!

I like the "new" 911 operator.  He's quirky and a bit obnoxious, but when it's comes to his job, he's serious, professional and saves lives.  I much prefer him to the new operator on the other 911 show.  She's beyond insufferable!

I wish the show would have scenes with Grace and the other operators taking calls/helping people, instead of wasting airtime on Owen taking down a different nemesis each week.

Just when I thought there was going to be no TK or TK drama, the last 10 seconds proved me wrong.

  23. After watching 4 episodes of this dragged out blizzard, everything got all wrapped up perfectly in the last 5 mins!  Major eye roll!! There's still a snowstorm going on but all the first responders are either hanging out at the station or the hospital or looking for Grace/Billy?? TK has no damage to his body whatsoever; he pretty much walked out of the hospital right after he woke up as if nothing happened?? He and Carlos broke up because TK was pissed that Carlos bought them TK's dream house??  TK's mom didn't show up while he was dying in the hospital, but flew in for the opening of the new fire house??  Speaking of the firehouse...it is saved and COMPLETELY REBUILT before Grace and Judd decided on a baby name??

Grace threatening to rip out Billy's tongue was definitely the highlight of this episode.

I've hand wave a lot of crap (especially on this show), but EVERYTHING over these last 4 episodes was beyond ridiculous!!
