  1. I've been an MJ fan since they first came on the air after Imus got kicked and they were trying various hosts/formats to fill his slot. The show wasn't perfect but it was always interesting, especially the opening 20-30 minute opening block. But I'm finding that I'm spending more time flipping away to CNN now (especially now that they have Brianna Keillar, with whom I am in love). I really think MSNBC should consider retiring the show and replacing it with some new blood and new format. The show has become something that is unforgivable for my viewing preferences: it's really boring.
  2. Seriously! Joe suddenly is a Trump apologist ugh.
  3. And what was up with all of the "Warren can't win" nonsense? Have they looked at the recent polling that shows both Warren and Biden leading Trump by the same margin? They certainly had their wealthy North East US elite hats on this morning!
  4. The "Jesus-off" was fairly unseemly unfortunately. Mayor Pete is still rather awesome in all regards however. I remain quite gay for the Buttiman (although I fully expect Biden will eventually be chosen).
  5. They certainly tried to portray her as one. Unfortunately it appeared to be somewhat of a one-sided conversation, with everyone agreeing with each other.
  6. GREAT conversation (around the 7AM hour) about the horrible, politically dysfunctional situation we find ourselves with here in Virginia. There is literally no show on TV which will spend so much contiguous time talking about such sensitive matters in an honest manner. This is why I still sit through Joe's bluster and Mika's scarves & drama and continue to watch this show.
  7. I liked this part of your post SO DAMN HARD. Mika's staged, monotonous monologue had me shouting at the TV. These silly soliloquies are ridiculous, not sure what focus group told the show producers that they were a good idea.
  8. Jennifer Rubin looked physically uncomfortable sitting so close to him - poor girl haha. Was waiting for her to reach down his throat and pull out his still beating heart shouting "The Washington Post is the ONLY DC newspaper, motherf**ker!"
  9. Loved the you-better-check-yourself-before-you-wreck-yourself look that Sam shot Noah "who farted?" Rothman. Who knew Sam could be so gangsta?
  10. Noah Rothman is simply just unctuous and odious. Always feel like I gotta Lysol my TV every time he comes on.
  11. Rick Wilson's "quivering blob of man-baby goo" comment put a big smile on my face this morning.
  12. Looks like Elise Jordan has gone into her pre-election GOP shill mode. Gross
  13. Glad to see Chuck Schumer refute this morning's dreary "Democrats don't have a message" diatribe. Dunno about that tie tho.
  14. So the fault of the GOP ramming through an ultra-right-wing, executive-power-loving, reactionary judge lies with...the Democrats and the "media" for overplaying their powerless hands? Ugh. First hour was unwatchable for me this morning. You can always tell when beady-eyed GOP Joe is running the talking points.
  15. In case anyone wants to know what they bleeped out this morning...
  16. Chuck Rosenberg: "The Manafort trial is going to be a dull affair" Me: Dude, have you *even* heard Maddow read a trial transcript?!
  17. I usually like Tom Brokaw but his "golly geez can't we just get along" was just getting on my nerves this morning. The age of Trump calls for unbridled partisanship and cynicism dammit!
  18. Never seen Joe be so damn condescending as when he says that Dems are so damn condescending.
  19. It's fools-hope I tell you. You go and try and trade it in for a little optimism and they tell you that you got hood-winked - despair ensues! Just kidding (I hope). We VA Commonwealth residents gave y'all a little hope a month or so ago too. We're on a roll!
  20. Mika's self-righteous ranting was way over the top this morning. Besides the pure enjoyment of hearing the output of her own lips flagellating about I can't understand how she thinks anything productive will result of it. I swiped left a lot during today's episode.
  21. Same here. I have a hard time not believing that this is Mika's doing to push her new book (and certainly her agenda). That she would use Weinstein's abhorrent behavior in such an opportunistic and cynical way would be pretty gross but I don't know how else to explain the inordinate amount of time they are spending on this story.
  22. I got to admit, as banal as it is, I do really rather enjoy Donnie's id to Joe's ego
  23. I thought they both handled the SNL skit really well. The easiest thing would have been to just ignore it. Also, Joe's "Mika-Boo" made me genuinely lol.
